4.2
Nähe zum Strand
Sehr Gutes Frühstück
Bequemes Bett
Essen im Restaurant war sehr gut
Kreditkarte zur Sicherung von Schäden vorzuweisen
Teppich im Zimmer mit großem Fleck
Mini-Badezimmer, keine Haken, keine Ablage
Zimmer sehr klein
Im Restaurant falsches Essen gebracht und Salat vergessen (Salat wurde in doppelter Portion nachgebracht und Shrimps statt Suppe waren super, also kein Problem)

The location was absolutely perfect, literally a stone’s throw from Fistral Beach and with parking on site, which is quite a gem for a Newquay hotel.
The breakfast was absolutely amazing, the sausages were exceptional. Still dreaming about them now!
We had a few issues during our stay which sadly ruined the experience.
1 - The shower. On the first day of using the shower, we had a knock at the door from reception to stay we had to turn it off (with shampoo still in hair) as it was leaking downstairs in the dining room.
Appreciate that this happened, but management were insistent it was because the shower door ‘must have’ been open a bit when we used it, yet there was no water at all on the floor.
Given the sheer amount of mould around the entire shower and sealant, I don’t think it’s wrong to assume that it was the actual cause of the leak and not us.
It felt a little patronising to be told to make sure the shower door was properly closed, with absolutely no acknowledgement to the poor condition of the shower and bathroom.
2 - The window also had sealant issues. There was quite a gap in the window which meant the wind was whistling through at night.
3 - Paper thin walls, so so be warned if you’re staying with family…
4 - We were told that the room was getting a refurb after we checked out. All good and well, but I don’t think the room should have been let out if it was sub-standard.

Tidy room
Clean bathroom
Room design ✨️ just 👌 👍 perfect
Lovely corner view 😍
Very close to city centre and beaches ⛱️
5-10 minutes on street free car parking available
Friendly staff
Comfortable big bed
Good size of the room
Smart mirror 🪞 with touch buttons
Stained chairs 💺 in room ( I prefer to be removed or just don't put them in like that, as the rest of the room is amazing and those chairs is wiping out the good look of the room )
Toilet 🚻 lock didn't work
The fact that for a fair amount of money no matter how expensive it is you still have to pay extra for the car park 🙃 😅. I preferred to park it on surrounding area just cuz I didn't find it normal to ask extra .I guess it should be a way to be somehow included In the room price or something as it is just strange to book a place and pay extra for parking . Anyway it may be just me...I do understand travelodge as that is a cheap hotel but when you pay a good amount of money 💰 it is a bit weird to pay extra for the car park. 🚗 is not about £ is about the idea . If I can afford the room price of course I can afford a £5 but why on earth is that not Included and is extra .... make a deal with city council and include the bill in the room price maybe. 🤷♂️ idk
Overall except my personal thoughts a very good place to stay and we really enjoyed our stay and we definitely come back soon.

This hotel could do with an update. There was zero sound proofing. We had little sleep due to rowdy guests arguing all night and the patter of children footsteps from dawn. The staff were nice.
Our bathroom was minuscule (size of a table).

upgrade with a sea view . he breakfast was perfect! great set up and will definitely go
back
not the best welcome from
the female receptionist. the male attending made up for it.

The room was clean and dog package was set up for our arrival. Male staff member on reception was extremely friendly and welcoming.
As we weren't in the main breakfast room (due to having our dog) we were in the bar area and had to go and find waitress staff to order from the menu. Service was extremely slow and by the time we were given some toast it was stone cold. The young staff were friendly, but when asking if I could have an alternative milk due to being dairy intolerant, she was unsure whether they had any to give me. So I had to go find a more senior member of staff to see if this was possible. They seemed to be focused more on the breakfast room, than the other people in the bar area with dogs. We were ignored a few times when trying to catch staff attention.
Our room was situated on the first floor, right above the bar area. The first night we didn't go to sleep until 12:00 as there was music playing in the bar (so coming straight through to our room) and as we were in one of the rooms at the beginning of the hallway we could hear every time someone was going into their room. Doors and walls were thin and you could hear every noise. We asked the receptionist the next morning if it was possible to move rooms, maybe further away from the bar or on the next floor up. She was quite rude, knowing that we had no sleep, she gave no apology or alternative options. Our second night we ended up checking out at 11:30pm and driving three hours home. There was a wedding party on which finished around 11:00, however staff were then clearing up and making so much noise afterwards. The wedding party were shouting and being loud when leaving or going back to their rooms. One of them heard our dog bark and then decided to torment her even more by creating more noise as he was going into his room.
It's a lovely hotel and has a lot of potential. But the staff and added events let it down, I understand we weren't able to move rooms but an apology would have been appreciated and some acknowledgment about the situation. I wont be staying here again.

Lovely staff, room was pleasant and the location was incredible.

Breakfast excellent. Location brilliant. Views fabulous
Bathroom had no shelves and nowhere to put anything except on the floor. Supposed to have room service every second day. Only had it once in a week. Had to ask for fresh towels 3rd day and again 6th day. We were left milk couple of days but shower gel only once. Not good choice of menu for the evening. OK if you like burgers.
