The reception staff made the experiance so much better, they always kept an eye on us making sure we are ok and we had everything we needed, very friendly and nothing was to much trouble for them, couldnt fault the staff, genuine nice people.
The bistro was lovley, and along with the staff running it.
The swimming pool was nice and clean, with loungers and a couple of places to change which was good.
The room was nice and big.
Me and my partner really enjoyed going downstairs to play table tennis and pool on the rainy days.
Its not something that usualy bothers us but if i have to be a little constructive, the bathroom in our room could have been a little cleaner with a few stains on the wooden shelves from previous customers. Also a fair amount of dust.
We are not really that fussed by this as we loved our stay, but i could see other customers potentialy complaining about it considering it was the deluxe room.

Nothing.
, the room was pathetic, washroom was not as shown while booking plus bathroom's lock was also broken, kettle was rusted, no drinking water in the room, no cleaning done on the second day and many more, very less lighting

Good location and the beds were comfortable. Pillows not so much.
Bathroom was tatty. Hairdryer on wall had exposed wires, chair was a accident waiting to happen, all legs so loose!
Power cut. For over £500 for 2 nights it was very poor value for money.

very clean comfortable rooms with traditional keys rather than card entry
hotel also has a pool and a games room with pool and table tennis tables
nothing really as the staff went above and beyond with attentive friendly service

We enjoyed the stay thank you.
The decor was poorer than we were expecting, over painting, carpets with loose threads, leaking shower which flooded the floor, awful tubing for the cabling around the walls.

Location
Tiny room, tinier bathroom, very average breakfast not included in the £130 per night.
Overpriced room with the most basic of facilities.

Friendly staff. Dog friendly. Food ok.
Decor in room a little tired. Door opens and hits bedside table. Toilet seats in room and public toilets are very cheap plastic and don't fit properly. Unable to go in pool if there is only one of you, so if one has to look after the dog the other cannot swim.
I was surprised, for the price I was expecting better.

ideal location, clean, well maintained. We had an evening meal and breakfast and the food was tasty and good value for money.
2.0 / 5.0
The breakfast had only one option for vegetarian. The location is outside the city center. No transportation. So O had to book a can everytime which cost so much money as the facilities were misleading. The spa says on the website complementary treatments for hotel guests. But it was one of the name of treatments and spa was the whole reason to book with them.

Love the location, as a keen walker. Staff friendly and helpful. Visit Newquay at least 5 times a year and try and spend my visits here depending on costs.
Could do with a more comfortable chair and a shelf above bed!!

This will be our third visit to Pentire hotel. We love Newquay and the fact the hotel is dog friendly is even better. The location is superb, only a couple of minutes walk before you are on the beach. Breakfast very quickly served and tasty, and love the fact that you have self service for all the cereals fruits, etc. The bed was extremely comfortable, which is important to me and my husband as we both have issues where a comfortable bed is a necessity. The towels were amazing, nice thick towels, good size as well. The hotel is always well represented by staff, a lovely lounge, bar, and the restaurant is always nice and clean. Hoping to get there again later on this year.
