Great resort and location. Friendly staff.

The resort is great, with nice rooms, great views and several pools and spas. Staff was friendly. The size of the property is just about right walking to the pool, beach, and back to the room. The location is nice, within walking distance to the marina and restaurants. We bought the Breakfast Included package. The breakfast was great, with nice selections of fruits. However, you can either select eggs / omelets or french toast / pancake, not both as listed in Bookings.

Some amenities are not functional well, such as AC having noise etc. They are mostly minor.

Mostly good, food was okay, one really really bad experience soured the whole time for us

The property was beautiful and had a lot of amenities available and concierge was very helpful

We had a very bad experience dining at the taqueria next to the pools. The server made us get up to get our own food when he was serving EVERYONE else, getting their plates for the, moving the umbrellas for them, and making them feel welcomed. He also got our order wrong and tried to tell us we were wrong when we pointed it out but he wrote our order in his notebook and knew what we ordered. The whole experience was really off-putting and we felt discriminated because nobody else dining was treated like that. It’s a small area so you can see how everyone was served. We tried to call the front desk to report it but they gave us the run around that the manager wasn’t there. Really ruined the experience for us, wouldn’t come back here.

Rooms Need upgrading very old. Pools had a really rough and dangerous coating, everyone was complaining about how sharp they were

Definitely recommend this resort

Really nice resort, clean and safe. Rooms are marvelous suites and the staff is super friendly. Food was decent, and I enjoyed being close to the city for my daily meals. Maria was super helpful for booking tours. Gracias!

They allow Uber to drop you off, but not pick you up in the hotel. It makes for ridiculous situations where I had to run behind my uber till he exited the hotel before I could board it. Otherwise, the hotel's security snitches to the police and the uber gets a fine. About time we got rid of this insane policy...

overall great stay, this was our second time here. our first stay was more impressive

very beautiful and clean and smells amazing

front desk who checked us in could’ve been nicer and we could’ve had a better welcome . also the water temp in our showers was not working well , had to constantly adjust the temp but it kept changing on its own. hard to enjoy a shower

I booked to extend my stay on the Wednesday morning for a further five days, we had a family tragedy back in NZ and had to leave immediately on the Thursday. They said they would refund the four unused days but didn’t do it , which was very disappointing.

Great place to stay

The room was great. It had a king size bed in a separate room. There was a living room with a very comfortable fold out couch that easily accommodated two people. A great dining room table and kitchen. There were two bathrooms, one with just a shower and the other with a soaker tub. It was quiet, very clean and the staff was excellent. The food was good. Tuesday and Friday was steak and fish night. The shrimp wrapped in bacon was outstanding. Italian night was delicious. Activities were great, enough to entertain the family. There were a lot of families at this resort and didn't see a drunk the whole time.

The bed did have a pillow top, but could have been a little more comfortable. Would have liked water available in the room, but you could get it at the restaurant.

Beautiful view. Plenty of space for kids and adults space. Not over crowded.

The beach dinner/show. Wish we had more during our stay. Kids loved it.

More games for adults and kids. Restaurants were pricey.

Best family vacay we have had!

I loved the numerous pools and available space for guests so we were not cramped. I love how all the staff was so friendly and helpful. I especially like the view from my room

We were told about the Ridge and we planned to go for breakfast. We were not informed that a reservation was needed so we were not accommodated

We had a wonderful time at the Playa Grande Resort and enjoyed spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean!

Location and layout of the resort were great.

Resort was a bit short staffed during the daytime in bars and restaurants by the pool.
