Location right on multiple routes to the rest of Ireland.
Classic hotel feel
The rooms weren’t lit very well. The spot lights above the bed did not provide enough light to have the ‘big lights’ off, and the lamp on the desk gave little to no lighting.

Room was right beside the conference room where loud music was being played despite specifically requesting a "quiet room for my 83 year old mother ".

Was decent place swimming was great in it
Kept up all night by people partying running and screaming all over hotel got very little sleep and had our door wacked through out the night was very annoyed as me and the other have paid big money and was not worth it.

Good location, central to the town.
Location of the en-suite door and did not close tightly. Also the poor choice at breakfast despite an expensive overnight rate.

location and staff were lovely
bathroom in need of an update , lots of bulbs not working , poor outlook from room 203 , curtains with holes in. we stayed on the Friday eve before and for the same price had a much more superior room on the ground floor

Friendly staff and comfortable room.
Disappointed with breakfast, not bad but could be better.

As a four star hotel, this property has very little to recommend it, and doubtful for lots of reasons that it deserves to have four stars.
Hotel has obviously seen better days, needs a good uplift. Lots of tired woodwork and carpets. Arriving after 2pm on a Saturday, was told the leisure center was only open until 5pm. No mattress cover on mattress and flat sheet was not big enough to stay in place, exposing mattress during sleep. Hotel bar was overtaken with food service leaving very limited seating at the bar for people who only wanted to have a drink. All common areas including the bar, were cold enough for it not to be comfortable in regular clothes. Absolutely nothing by way of entertainment at night time. We were phoned shortly after 11am on the Sunday morning to vacate the room, despite having been told we could have late check-out.
