Enttäuschen!

So ok, aber es gab weder Sauna etc. noch Weinstube noch Restauriert noch sonstiges. Aber soll lt. Beschreibung alles vorhanden sein.

Zweckmäßige Übernachtungsmöglichkeit in guter Lage.

Fussläufige Lage zur Innenstadt. Obwohl das Zimmer zur Hauptverkehrsstraße lag, sehr ruhig bzw. gut gedämmte Fenster. Zweckmäßige Zimmerausstattung mit Wand-TV und Haartrockner im Bad, sowie Seifenspender am Waschbecken und in der Dusche, prima, wenn auch ausreichend gefüllt. Ebenso mit Kühlschrank, aber auch nur zweckmäßig nutzbar wenn dieser auch kühlt und nicht nur das Licht angeht beim Türöffnen. Für den Aufenthalt waren 2 Teebeutel und eine mittlere Mineralwasserflasche im Zimmerpreis enthalten. Die Teebeutel habe ich unverbraucht hinterlassen.

Kühlschrank ohne Kühlung, Flüssigseifenspender in der Dusche war so gut wie leer. Die Toilettenpapierrolle am Halter hatte nur noch sehr wenige Blätter auf der Rolle und es war nur eine Ersatzrolle im Badezimmer platziert. In einem 3-Sterne Haus würde ich mindestens auch 3-lagiges Toilettenpapier erwarten und nicht nur zweilagiges und kleinformatige Rollen. Kein Betrieb der Bar, obwohl vorhanden, direkt neben der Rezeption - schade.

Kann etwa mit Hotel Bundschuh in Lohr nicht mithalten.

Die Nähe zur Innenstadt von Lohr - man ist in 3-4-.. Minuten zu Fuß dort.

„Herzlichkeit“ des Personals, besonders an der Rezeption, überschaubar: geschäftsmäßig halt. Man wies uns ein Zimmer zu, das sich noch als ungereinigt im Zustand vom vorherigen Gast herausstellte. Danach keine große Entschuldigung seitens des Rezeptionisten. Wir bekamen ein anderes Zimmer (allerdings als upgrade - auch nett). Trotzdem: bleibt peinlich fürs Hotel.

Das Hotel bietet eine gute Ausgangslage für Unternehmungen in und um Lohr am Main.

Das Frühstück war reichhaltig und sehr gut mit frischen Kaffee und vielen verschiedenen Teesorten. Das Hotel war sowohl für den Start zur Fahrradtour am Main als auch zum Ausflug in die Altstadt zu Fuß optimal gelegen. Die Sauna wurde auf Wunsch angemacht und konnte kostenfrei genutzt werden. Das Personal war sehr nett und hilfsbereit.

Im Saunabereich wäre ein Wasserspender hilfreich.

Hätte besser sein können

Die Lage des Hotels ist sehr gut. Unterstellmöglichkeiten für unsere drei Motorräder waren in Ordnung

Leider war das Personal am Empfang recht unfreundich. Wir wurden bei der Anmeldung darauf gedrängt die Rechnungen sofort zu begleichen. Die Auswahl beim Frühstück (sowohl Brötchen, Brot, Wurst Käse usw.) ist doch sehr überschaubar.

They keep what they promise: asking the guests to indicate if room service is wished. No wish - no service. Bed and towels were in the exact status as I left them in the morning, saving time and energy.

Reception could not be reached prior to arrival (no one picking up the phone) for a longer period of time. Given that there was nearly no guest in the location it is unlikely that stressful reception work kept them away from it. check-in was easy, as I arrived late (reception not staffed anymore) and my key (card) was in an envelope at the entrance of the hotel. Everyone could have grabbed it...

Overall, the staff was very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast in the morning exceeded my meager expectations and was a surprise to be sure. Overall, the facilities were well kept and I had no trouble with any appliances while I was staying.

I had two main issues with my stay that I would like to highlight. The first comes from the bell tower in town as it went off every 15 minutes at every hour of the night. While it was not unexpected, this did wake me two times each night and the windows did little to mitigate the noise. The second came from the blanket/s provided. Despite booking a room for two in a queen sized bed, I was given a single blanket that I doubt would even cover up a twin-sized bed for one. I was unable to get a replacement until the following day where they ended up just giving me a second blanket of that size rather than one that fit the bed. I do not know if this is normal for German hotels to do but we should have at least been given two of the smaller blankets from the start.
