Competitive prices, breakfast included, and friendly staff. As female travelers we felt safe here and appreciated the kind and respectful staff that went above and beyond to make our stay a pleasant one, they even took time to go over a map of Petra and give advice on what times were best to visit and which routes were best, etc. So happy we chose Cleopatra Hotel after seeing Lonely Planet’s recommendation.

Very nice, owner speaks very good English; less than 10 minutes walk down hill to bus station; can walk down hill several kilometres to Petra gate, but I needed a taxi to get back up the long, steep hill to the hotel; simple but OK breakfast with eggs. Lots of restaurants and shops nearby. Owner was very helpful, he called someone to find out roughly what time to get to the only bus to Amman on a Friday (he said to be at bus station at 7 a.m., which I did, although the bus didn't fill up enough to leave for a couple hours, but that was fine as I was not in a rush).

The host us really helpful. on arrival I mentioned I wanted to fit in lIttle Petra , museum and hamman. Within minutes it was organised. Lots of options available to independent traveller for moving on to other locations. Very near bus station. Hotel provides free shuttle service to and from Petra twice a day as it is about 2km from Petra entrance. Breakfast good local food. Very reasonably priced

The service you will get at this hotel is outstanding. I don’t know the name of the guy that helped us but he has glasses and he gave us the absolute best advice for doing our full day at Petra. the breakfast was great and everyone was so friendly. the guy also helped us arrange transport to Wadi Rum and the driver was very kind and took us to three lookout points on the way. the room was basic but perfect for what we needed. AC worked and the beds were comfy. there’s also a great restaurant next door. 100% would stay here again.
the shower had a small step in it which was a little strange but nothing we couldn’t work around.

The hotel is located near many shops and restaurants. The staffs are friendly and helpful. Abdalrahman personally helped us find transport from Petra to Wadi Rum. Since we have to leave quite early, he also prepared for us takeaway breakfast. It was great stay overall.

Nice little hotel in Wadi Musa. The staff is great and recommended me a perfect 2 day itinerary. The room was clean, bed comfortable with good AC (they turned it off when I was out visiting). For the price I would stay there again
The hotel would need some investment in terms of room equipment. Night table lamps would be nice to have. The bathroom was clean but would need some repair. Breakfast was average at best and more choices would be welcome. One strange thing, they lock the entrance door at midnight so you have to hurry up to return when having a night out.

Abdurrahman the receptionist was so excellent.
He draw me twice to the entrance of Petra early in the morning at 6:30 am! (After preparing me a delicious breakfast with hummus, fresh bread and with Turkish coffee etc. )
He explained the route I should do in Petra.
He changed $ for me with a better currency.
He reserved me a bus ride to Wadi Rum for 10.-JD with my big luggage.
I didn’t just have a very nice stay in the hotel I had also a very excellent service with everything!
As a single traveler security is very important for me and I felt very comfortable.
Hot water, power of the water, air conditioner was very good. Bed was comfortable.
Just next to the hotel there is a supermarket, where u can find daily staff.
Petra entrance can be riched by taxi for 3.- JD
By the way don’t go to petra by night is not worth it!!!

The price is very attractive for backpackers and the confort for one or two nights is here. The owner speaks french if needed and he helps us a lot for reaching our next destination. You can have an early breakfast if you want to begin early your visit of Petra. The hotel proposes a little lunch for your visit of Petra for a very low price (3 JD).
A bit far from Petra, very little bathroom with difficulties for having hot water, lots of noises during the evening (problems of windows), but I was not expecting better for this price, it's perfect for backpackers
