It exceeded our expectations.

This property was excellent. Luca our host was very pleasant.Situated in a safe and convenient place close to all amenities. Our room was fab , bed very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious - menu was extensive and lots of healthy choices.we had the choice to dine in the garden which we did.

Nous sommes très satisfaits de l'hébergement, très jolie maison. Luca est très gentil, ils nous a renseignés sur tout ce qu'il y avait à voir à lucca. Charmante ville fortifiée et ses bâtiments anciens. Petit déjeuner exceptionnel, pour tous les goûts. A recommander vivement.

Aconchegante e agradável!

Desde o primeiro contato do Luca, foi super simpático e solícito, nos buscando na estação. A casa é linda, organizada, tamanho do quarto adequado para 3 pessoas, banheiro espaçoso. Café da manhã com muitas opções, servido pelo Luca. Localização perfeita, próxima à porta Sant'anna. Pode-se visitar a cidade a pé. Pátio agradável, podendo tomar o café sob as árvores. Super recomendo!

Kleine feine Villa

Wir wurden sehr freundlich von Luca empfangen und gleich mit den wichtigsten Informationen versorgt! Die Villa liegt perfekt um die Stadt zu erkunden und man hat einen Parkplatz in dem äußerst netten Garten, wo man auch sehr gemütlich sitzen kann! Das Zimmer war sehr nett eingerichtet, gemütlich und sehr sauber. Überall im Haus stehen kleine Windlichter, die am Abend alles gemütlich beleuchten. Beim Frühstück wird man von Luca selbst verwöhnt! Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Thank you for our stay Luca, you are a wonderful and generous host!

Luca is an incredible and generous host. He kindly picked us up from the train station pointing out all the local sights, and insisted on dropping us back the following afternoon which we were very grateful for. Lovely B&B well located only a 4 minute walk from the city walls. Clean and spacious room, breakfast tasty and served by Luca himself. We particularly enjoyed the balcony and garden area when the sun came out.

A beautiful villa just outside the walls of Lucca. Traditional and exquisitely maintained. Easy parking and room to sit in the garden on a hot day. The service from the owner was exceptional.

Charmante Villa - Große Gastfreundschaft

Die wunderschöne Villa liegt nah an der Stadtmauer, sodass man schnell zu Fuss in der Stadt ist. Alles ist perfekt, Luca, der Gastgeber, ist äußerst liebenswürdig und hilfsbereit, er erfüllt jeden Wunsch. Man fühlt sich wirklich herzlich willkommen. Unser Zimmer war sehr hübsch und behaglich, sauber und ruhig. Das Frühstück könnte nicht besser sein, jeder Wunsch wird erfüllt. Luca serviert im Garten oder auf dem Balkon, man ist von Blumen umgeben. Das Auto steht sicher und schattig im abgeschlossenen Hof.

Es war alles perfekt! Ich werde die Villa Donato weiterempfehlen.

Fantastic hospitality

Great location, easy to book, as described. Luca (the owner) went above and beyond what we would expect, picking us up from the station and dropping us back. He was also available early for us to drop our bags and gave us some great tips for our day in Lucca.

Schöner Stadtaufenthalt

Die Lage war großartig, nur wenige Gehminuten von der Innenstadt entfernt, trotzdem ruhig! Die Zimmer sehr stilvoll italienisch. Sehr sauber, auch Kleinigkeiten mit Liebe gestaltet. Sehr freundlicher und hilfsbereiter Gastgeber. Eigener Parkplatz

Das Frühstück war für Italien gut, aber wirklich nicht aufregend.

Angolo di paradiso a pochi metri dalle mura di Lucca

B&B creato all'interno di una villa incantevole a pochi metri dalle mura di Lucca. Il giardino esterno è stato sapientemente sfruttato per la colazione che è ricca e con prodotti di buona qualità. Il parcheggio comodo e gratuito. Infine Luca, il proprietario del B&B, è professionale, simpatico, SUPER disponibile... è di sicuro il valore aggiunto di una struttura già perfetta.

Brilliant stay

Great location - just 5 minutes to city walls. Easy to find, with secure car parking in rear car park. Building is beautiful and set in well cared for gardens (where we had breakfast). Loved the decor and styling, and fact that it is an old classic building. Breakfast was brilliant - huge selection to choose from. Rooms very comfortable. Great shower and room facilities. Host brilliant. Spoke good English and really helpful when it came to helping us regarding car malfunctions and dealing with the recovery mechanic.

Perfect weekend location you won’t want to leave

Absolutely everything. Garden was amazing. Location was great, quiet, safe and felt like home. Clean. Excellent host Luca. Went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Breakfast was a great continental breakfast with loads of options. Able to hire bikes for a fabulous price. Private, safe parking if you arrive my car. Highly recommend!!

Wonderful stay

We were able to check in early. We hired the bikes available from the accomodation and went for a ride around beautiful Luca, it was such a lovely afternoon exploring. Breakfast the next morning was delicious. It was a wonderful overnight stay.

The host was exceptional. Very friendly, helpful and also helped us with pick up and drop off for the local train station. As a Coeliac, I also enquired if they had gluten free breakfast options. They did but also an amazing 100% gluten free bakery is less than 5mins away too. The location for us was perfect - less than a 5min walk to the city walls.

Elegant, clean, comfortable Villa very near the beautiful walled city of Lucca!

We loved the Villa and property throughout our 6 night stay - everything was so comfortable and perfect! Breakfast choices were exceptional and Luca was very helpful (even drove us to the train station when we departed). We definitely would return if visiting Lucca again and highly recommend the Villa to anyone looking for a super clean, comfortable and elegant B&B within a short walk of the old city walls.

Fantastico

Luca was the perfect host, super helpful, always around when you need him but very discrete. The location is great, 5 mins walk to the walled city and a quiet neighbourhood. The room was perfect for our family of 3, very comfortable beds and a great shower. We would have no hesitation recommending this B&B.

Great B&B, great host and great breakfast, nothing else needed.

Luca kept in touch prior to our arrival sending instructions on how to find him. He is the most charming and hospitable host. Villa Donata is conveniently situated a short walk from the ramparts of the old town. Breakfast was one of the best you can get in an Italian B&B.

Beautiful stay in Lucca with our host Luca really going above and beyond for us throughout the trip.

Luca was lovely and helped us throughout the trip and also recommended some lovely locations to see and do whilst there with a baby. The Villa was beautiful and well kept with ample parking and everything you need after a long day walking around Lucca town

Exceptional villa and host. Couldn't ask for more!

Luca is an exceptional host. We were extremely pleased with our visit, and the villa/rooms were amazing. The entire villa was very well decorated. Only a short walk to Lucca city. Luca reached out to us before our arrival with information and instructions on how to reach the villa. 10/10 would recommend. Couldn't ask for more.

Perfect hosts, warm welcome, great rooms, walking distance to the center, fenced parking, dog was very welcome, fantastic breakfast, great house… perfect place to stay in Lucca.

Lovely place for a rest, comfy bed and gracious accommodating host.

This was a last-minute decision, so no surprise that the cost of accommodation was high given it was Comics week, unbeknown to us. But whilst it was a high price that week, I believe the regular price at non-peak times would be appropriate for the location and services provided by Luca and his sister. A most gracious and accommodating host. Given our height, the bathroom was a little small, but the room was definitely a comfortable abode for the 2 nights.

We were arriving in the middle of comics week. I wish we had known as this was not my thing. So we did not see Lucca in its original form. However, the ability to rest up in the BnB was a good respite from the crowds. You need to do your homework on festivals prior to visiting a town at short notice and always be wise about escalated prices associated with this.
