Fabulous, local traditional Spanish hotel.

Fabulous location with far reaching views. A lovely little traditional, local, family run hotel. Great place to meet friends if travelling together. Nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are clean and tidy. Gorgeous coffee in the bar and breakfast was more than ample with fresh fruit, croissants and the usual choices. Will be back.

I would have liked tea/coffee facilities but not having this meant we all meet up in the bar.

I wish we could have stayed longer.

The personnel was very warm and caring. The food was great and the view was lovely: snow in the mountains on one side and the Mediterranean Sea at the other. Breakfast was great , they make the eggs just how you want them!

Small friendly family owned hotel to which I shall happily return to.

Excellent free secure parking. Very friendly and helpful staff. Traditional Spanish feel with wonderful views. Air conditioning in the bedroom 😎

No fridge in the bedroom. Restaurant not open in the evening.

Lovely hotel in picturesque Competa

Great hotel with lovely view from the balcony, a great swimming pool, very good food, and smiling personnel. The hotel is very close to hiking paths and Competa itself is a beatiful, picturesque little town with cool restaurants and shops. We recommend visiting Puerto Collado - viewpoint which is 10 minutes by car.

The furniture and bathroom are a bit dated but this is a minor inconvenience

An excellent hotel in a great location.

The view down to the Med was fantastic- we’ll worth paying extra for a room with a balcony and view. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially Maria, an excellent receptionist. The room was spotlessly clean.

The restaurant was closed for evening meals the two nights we were there but there are plenty of good places nearby. The second breakfast was much better then the first!

The food was absolutely awful. Cold Scrambled eggs. Sausage tasted terrible. No service. Had to ask for coffee. No kettle or coffee in the rooms.

Stayed before and would stay again

Lovely location with beautiful views down the mountain to the sea.The staff are brilliant.Nothing is a bother and they are so friendly.Provided towels for sunbeds around the pool.The hotel could be called dated but for me this adds to its charm and fits in with the character of the village.

We stayed in the bungalow and it was treacherous to get down to them. There was only a lift so far then stairs, black metal that was very badly lit at night so it meant I couldn't go anywhere past dark as my daughter is partially sighted and I have arthritis so we had to leave also we were led to believe by the pictures that there was this amazing uninterrupted view from the bungalow but there is none whatsoever. In saying that the staff are lovely except for a young barman who made us wait for a drink on one early evening that we did go up to the bar he was lovely the night before but no other family was present the next evening and he was just rude so we left without getting our drink after sitting outside for twenty minutes just being constantly told "one minute" every time I caught his attention. If anyone is going to competa be fully aware this is not a place for walking disabilities or vision problems as it is extremely hilly, which is a shame because the views are stunning and the people are amazing.
