The village is picturesque, friendly and quiet. Cerezo bar serves good meals and the countryside is spectacular. Great f

attractive old building with interesting corners. I had good views of the village and countryside. The double bed was comfortable and the chambermaid caring. it’s only 5 min walk from the bus stop. I had a good meal at the restaurant belonging to the hotel. There is a wealth of brochures on villages in the Axarquia.There are board games provided.

The bathroom is two very steep steps up from the room.There was nowhere safe to boil the kettle. 4 tea bags, a sugar and no milk.There were 3 flights of steps to reach my room and I had to go down 2 to reach the fridge.

I would stay there again.

Breakfast was good. The location was exactly what I needed and in the center of Canillas de Albaida.

The reception desk was only manned very infrequently.

Wonderful receptionist spoke perfect English and went out of her way to show us where to park. Location perfect on the square. Room and bathroom clean and comfortable and air conditioning a bonus in a heat wave.

Convenient accommodation in a beautiful village

The building was very quaint and in a beautiful location right in the heart of the village. (Thankfully the church clock was muted from midnight to 8am 🙂). The salon with free tea and coffee making facilities, library and honesty bar was a nice touch and the co-owned restaurant opposite was great value with lovely local food. Our room was small, but adequate.

The shower did not drain properly and the smell of drains in the bathroom was pretty bad. The receptionist's English was not great, and my Spanish insufficient, to explain the problem and try to get it fixed. The window blind was broken, making it difficult to raise to enjoy the view.

Superb

Set in the beautiful central plaza in Canillas de Albaida. The restaurant and bar within that plaza and part of the hotel offer excellent food and friendly service.

Exceptional

Very friendly and helpful staff, we use the restaurant a couple of times and the food was good and excellent value. The manager is very helpful and accommodating and knowledgable about the local area.

Charming hotel with modern facilities but retaining the rustic charm

Charming hotel and restaurant in pedestrian square besides the church in the centre of the village, welcoming and friendly host. Comfortsble and well equiped room with great shoer. Food was excellent. Recommended

We have booked up for New Year and will be going back a couple of times before.

There is nothing we didn`t like - having been before the owner remembered us and welcomed us. Small unspoilt quiet village-everybody smiles and speaks - no big shops or chinos. -just small Spanish shops and bars/eating houses.

We didn`t know that no evening meal was available on Wednesdays - but we can`t blame the owner - there are very few tourists around - he provides an excellent service despite the restrictions imposed by the virus.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here in the heart of an old Spanish mountain village

Lovely peaceful location in the heart of a very picturesque mountain village. Food, hospitality and accommodation all very good. Parking is on the street with access to the hotel on foot through narrow cobbled streets. Hotel pool is a 5 minute walk from the hotel and a lovely treat.

Quite a strong sewage smell from the bathroom but acceptable given the age and location of the building.
