Parking was plenty and good location for my stay, Ben linens were clean
Didn’t receive a room which was justified for what I paid per night. The disrepair of my room wasn’t great, the carpet was stained, dated and although there was evidence of cleaning I found hairs around my bathroom on arrival. My room was ‘cleaned’ after my first nights stay only for the duvet to be untidy, rubbish to be in the room and there was nothing showing anything else had been done. The corridors were loud between other rooms, sometimes past 9pm.

It was cheap
The receptionist was extremely rude and unprofessional. She looked fed up and barely said a word.
Made me stand in reception for 15 mins so she can take the payment. Will need re training and learn some manners

Staff were all friendly, entrance to hotel was very grand.
While the main body of the hotel was very elegant, it showed a lot of wear - every door was beaten and in need of refinishing. The wing the room was located in looked like a 1970s tenement - the walls of the room were dirty, the skirting board above the heating pipes were rotted on places and not secured, and the window was a pig to close. It was pretty grungy overall and completely at odds with the, superficially, impressive entrance.

Clean and tidy and nice surroundings
Nothing

Plenty of hangers, trouser press if needed.
The bathroom wasn't as clean as I would have expected.

The old entrance was lovely and the bar was cozy and quiet
One of the rooms on the first floor has a stain on the carpet

Staff were excellent.
Cleanliness excellent.
Breakfast excellent.
I found the beds and pillows uncomfortable.
We did find the stairs a bit of a challenge with suit cases.

The charm and architecture.
Bath a bit small but it’s an old building so no bother.

Very clean hotel looked amazing from the outside and within. The outside had a nice fountain and a lovely entrance I loved the inside interior.
Property was lovely

Lovely hotel and staff. The grounds were so pretty and there were deer 🦌 outside my window each morning :)
The room was very hot and there was no air con and the window didn’t open much more than a couple inches. There was also a lot of mould around the window frame and I developed a sore throat during my stay.

The breakfast was superb, plenty of choice and very tasty. The location is superb. The room was a double and the bed was very comfortable.
My stay was for one night in the September heatwave so was hot and a little stuffy. I would suggest that the management consider installing air conditioning in the rooms

Hotel did swop us to a privilege room as our original one was near to a resident with 2 cats and a rabbit. Breakfast was good
Original room was not good and we would not had stayed if they did not move us

The bath and shower were excellent, the was comfortable.
The rooms were very dirty around and under the beds, we found a pair of contact lenses on the bathroom floor and earring backs and bits of paper on the bedroom floor. The white duvet cover had a large stain on the inside, which makes me believe they weren’t changing them after each guest. We had to change rooms due to our original room having a bathroom sink that had a crack from one side to the other causing the sink to leak badly when used.

We had a discounted breakfast at £12 - very good with lots of choice. Allowed our dog in for £15 per night. The man of reception was very helpful, polite and hardworking.
The room was worn out and shabby/tired. Didn't feel very clean - but not over dirty. Stains on carpet and damp in the bathroom ceiling with distressed wallpaper. My room was left open (unlocked) after the room was 'cleaned' (bed made) - I was lucky that I had nothing stolen, the hotel was accessable to anybody. Also the bin collection van arrived outside my window around 5am on bank holiday Monday. - very odd at that time. Also after a long day we arrived to our hotel room and our passes had been diactivated, so had to leave my 80 year old mother in the hallway whilst I sorted this out at reception

Bed was comfy and other staff I encountered were really nice.
Waiting at reception to check in. A note to state they would be back soon and when they arrived I still had to wait while they were looking through paperwork. Quite rude really as they took quite some time.
Building is beautiful but inside is very dated. Had to hold the shower head as it was bent down and wouldn't stay upright.
All in all the shortest stay of any hotel I have ever been to.

Needs some TLC carpets paintwork, bathroom needs a refit, dust everywhere. Sadly dated. Meals overpriced.

Location and staff.
Character in the original building.
Room was very clean apart from the shower area which had black mould on the frame edges. Yuk!
We were in an accessible room, on the first floor, with no working lift! To be fair they did ring and check that my wife could manage the stairs but it really needs repairing or replacing.
Restaurant food was disappointing. I had the crispy squid which turned out to be crunchy and quite ‘bitty’ and the belly pork which had a very tough skin instead of crackling. The only starter my gluten intolerant wife could have, had sold out the day before i.e. the day before the main school holidays.

The building and grounds were lovely. Rooms spacious and comfortable

The location
There were a group of immigrants staying on the same corridor. They were banging doors until going up to 1am and then again from 6.30am. Hardly slept at all.
The pillows were the hardest ones I've ever slept on.

Good location for us to attend and event in nearby Haworth
Staff very welcoming and trying hard to ensure we had everything we needed
Lovely deep long bath was a joy in the morning
Good evening meal, breakfast was good.
What we expected for a three star hotel, it could make four star with a bit of investment and love
Mushrooms at breakfast tasted like tinned, I would recommend a switch over to fresh if you can, pillows were a bit firm for me and my wife, no idea if a softer option was available
4.5 / 5.0
Location was what we wanted. Room was spacious clean and light. 5 minutes from crematorium where we were attending a funeral. Reception were very accommodating.
Nothing
