Breakfast was excellent. Hosts lovely. Sea view was beautiful
The weather was very extreme with Storm Kathleen, so would’ve appreciated the heating being left on later into the night as it was very cold

Enjoyed a lovely weekend in Dunoon, Kenny was most hospitable and his breakfasts were excellent.
Nothing, everything was spot-on.

Our stay at St Ives was excellent, Kenny and Lesley were lovely attentive but not overly so lots of local information, it was spotlessly clean and the breakfast superb can't praise it enough

the hosts were really helpful and friendly. The breakfast was excellent and we enjoyed the location near to the town. The room was modern, warm and it was helpful to have wifi too. We would recommend the accommodation and the view was super.
the bathroom door squeaked which can be remedied, a bath mat in the shower would be good and a light outside the front door when returning in the dark to help when using the key. These are tiny things which didn't stop us enjoying our stay at St Ives and would certainly return.

Hotel was beautiful - boutique style right on the shore line overlooking the Firth of Clyde. They have an amazing outdoor decking area to relax on and watch the sun go down. Room was compact but clean, comfortable well appointed with everything you need (and a generous selection of teas and biscuits!).
Breakfast was delicious - full Scottish fry up, salmon and avocado spot on. And the pancakes with bacon and maple syrup - yum.
Kenny and Lesley were very welcoming and friendly - and really know how to make the place feel like home from home. They also serve good coffee which seems to be a rare thing in many hotels!!

Amazing breakfast, great quality and
really well presented.
Lovely view from our room!!
Helpful, welcoming and friendly hosts.
The St.Ives is slightly spoilt by the condition of neighbouring properties. But if you are using it as a base to explore as we did this doesn't really matter.

The St Ives is literally just a stone's throw from the sea but also only a short walk into the town.
Kenny, the new proprietor, was welcoming, friendly, helpful, efficient and eager to please. The members of staff that we met at breakfast and in the bar were super helpful, friendly, smartly dressed and very pleasant. Breakfast was delicious and there was a very good selection to choose from.
Our room was lovely with a fantastic sea view and it was spotlessly clean. The bed was comfy and the shower performed well. We were not troubled by any noise from other rooms or traffic - very quiet.
In the short time that Kenny and his family have been running the St Ives, new seating and shade have already been installed in the garden.
The only minor downside was that it is a little tricky to find the St Ives using a satnav but once we abandoned the technology and asked someone for directions we were sorted.

It was clean and close to the town.
Limited parking . Owner of guest house next door was extremely abrupt and rude ( MILTON TOWER). Initially Jon was pleasant and made excuses for the woman next door . The room was clean but small and basic . The bathroom was a cupboard and very small . There was absolutely no view whatsoever. On our first night , when we returned from our evening meal we asked Jon for a glass of ice for our room to which unbelievably he refused stating he could only give us ice if we bought drinks which completely put a dampener on our stay at £114 a night which was in my opinion not worth it. I've stayed in much nicer, friendlier places for half that amount. The breakfast was okay but fruit and pastries were uncovered. I did read the reviews and most of them were favorable unfortunately ours was not. We have been to countless b&b , hotels etc and have been extremely fortunate to have had a wonderful experience at them all but not this one.

It was a beautiful property inside with attention to detail in the rooms. The views to the front are lovely.
It was clean and bed was very comfy.
What made it brilliant and why we will return is the family that run it, the advice and ideas he gave for where we could go and just the brilliant conversations we had it just made it feel relaxing and friendly.
Really lovely stay here would recommend:)
There wasn’t anything we didn’t like.

The hotel is located on a very convenient sea front promenade and very close to both the ferry terminal and the town center. the owner is super friendly and helpful. It faces the beach so the view from my room was gorgeous. If you have dogs they will love a walk on the promenade and the beach.
My room was very clean, well-designed and everything worked. The dining room was also very comfortable. I think the owners take great care of the hotel.
Also, the breakfast and the coffee was superb!
I liked everything! But it would be even better if they served dinner.
