We had an amazing 7 nights at the farm, the views over the valley were stunning, it was so peaceful, remote, quiet with stunning sun sets & sunrises. The heated small plunge pool was a hit as was the indoor & outdoor fire places. Sitting on the deck listening to nature & the sounds of cows & local birds was delightful as was seeing kangaroo's most days passing over the fields. They also privided all the kitchen pantry items yiu needed & we have booked the place again next year. Thanks John & Maria

Beautiful house in stunning setting. Clean and thoughtful touches from hosts. However, this house is around 40 minutes outside of Lorne, and the location map on website does not match the actual location. Despite this we had a wonderful stay and would recommend!

Driving in the driveway we were met with kangaroos, goats, horses and straight away we all started to unwind. Perfect for our extended family getaway. Everything was well thought out and well stocked. The plunge pool was divine. We would love to all stay again and next time longer!
Thankyou.

Easily the best weekend get-away I have ever stayed at. The perfect location, a stunning house large enough for everyone, a pool complete with incredible view, veggie patch and of course ponies and goats. Thanks Maria and John for the opportunity to experience Charleson Farm for my 50th birthday. We’ll certainly be back in 2024!

Waking up to the stunning farmland views after a wonderful night's sleep in the most comfiest of beds was wonderful. The house (and property) had everything you needed and the host messaged to let you know they were there to help if needed.

Overall my experience staying at Charlton Farm was amazing. I had great communication from the owner of the property prior to my arrival. The house is a fantastic location if you’re looking for a mini country getaway.
The house is full stocked with key essentials to make your stay very pleasant. From board games and outdoor activities.

Our stay at Charleson Farm did not disappoint. It was the ideal getaway with my 2 adult children and their families, along with my niece and her family who are visiting from England. After 2 weeks of rushing around the State sightseeing, we spent 2 wonderful nights relaxing at this amazing house enjoying the peace and quiet along with the local wildlife and vistas. The children (aged 11, 9, 7 & 6) loved the tree house, time in the plunge pool and all of the activities in the games room as well as kicking the football and shooting hoops with the balls provided in the cupboard. The firepit was also a great place to relax around in the evenings. A big thanks to hosts John & Maria who were in contact prior to our stay with all the necessary info. We all look forward to going back again soon.

We had a party of 12, an extended family spending a weekend here. The setting is gorgeous and so restful. The property has very comprehensive facilities, everything from toys for toddlers, a table football game, table tennis, an outside plunge pool, modern large smart TVs and Netflix streaming, good internet. excellently outfitted dining facilities and a very large BBQ, many ways to make coffee, two fridges, two washing machines, books, board games - The list goes on. There are two bathrooms, the beds are very comfortable and the outlook of the bedrooms is over beautiful countryside. Very responsive owners. Highly recommended.

This was the perfect escape from the city for my group of girlfriends. We adored the plunge pool, the spacious living areas and the interactions with the goats and ponies. The hosts were wonderful to communicate with pre and during the stay. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a spacious holiday home for a group of up to 14. We left feeling super relaxed and recharged, and can't wait to visit again.

Had a great stay with our family (kids 9, 7 and 3). The house had everything we needed to cook and cater for groups that dropped by for lunch and dinner. Great BBQ, pool was awesome and a real highlight. Living area was really spacious and lots of glass to soak in the views. Fun exploring the property with the animals and tree house. Games room was a bit too. Exactly the experience I was hoping for to share with the family - remote enough to be peaceful, close enough to the Surfcoast and towns for day trips and supplies. Thanks John and Maria

We had an absolutely wonderful time staying at Charleson Farm. The place was spacious enough for 14 of us and the kids were thoroughly entertained with the games room, outdoor fire pit and feeding the animals. The adults found it relaxing just enjoying the amazing views from the property. It was such a memorable family getaway and the kids were sad when it was time to leave.

From the moment we arrived and walked through the front door to see the most spectacular view immediately visible with the smell of the crackling fire in the central and focal point of the house the relaxing and luxurious experience was set for the weekend. The house is in the perfect location to feel removed for the weekend but close enough to everything you need from the perfect general store, wineries, beach and more. To be able to watch the sunset over the picturesque landscape from the amazing and surprisingly large pool was an unexpected highlight. After spending my last two birthday alone in stage 4 lockdowns I couldn't have imagined a better location to finally be able to celebrate with my closest friends. We loved out trip so much we have all agreed we want to make it at least an annual tradition 💕

Great house lovely location
Perfect set up for kids and multiple families. Loved our stay. The kids had the best weekend ever and loved the animals. Shame the pool was not working for us as the weather was perfect for it. The owner did their best to attempt to resolve the issue while we were there. We would consider staying again.

Very nice location, just wish it was pet friendly
House and the views were beautiful. Since we had a group of 13 the two bathrooms were a bit tight but manageable. Since it was a really nice big fenced in area its unfortunate that they dont allow pets since our dog wouldve loved it too. Would recommend to families.

We had a wonderful time on the farm watching the cows and sheep graze by and the lovely vistas of the surrounding farmlands. The house is very comfortable with everything you could need a well equipped kitchen, comfy chairs a table for everyone to share a meal cooked on the excellent BBQ. We had six children who all enjoyed the bunk room sleeping together jumping on the tramp planing with various games and toys and riding bikes to the secret treehouse and around the enormous yard. We also went on three trips to the surrounding beaches which were close enough for a half day swim play and then back to the farm to relax and hang out. The children loved the farm tour on the back of the ute and we all enjoyed the tales that Russell the farm hand shared. The children were delighted to see Russell's dog round up the sheep and we had fun feeding the cows some hay. We would recommend for other families and there were 10 of us but the house would easily accommodate a third family of four. thanks

Family stay at the farm
We had 2 families stay at Charleson Farm for family celebrations. We enjoyed the games room and large yard to hang out and play. The the views were beautiful, BBQ was great to cook for our large number of guests and the open living area and fireplace provided a great atmosphere. Plenty of space for everyone. Only thing to be conscious of is it’s distance to Lorne as the stayz maps shows the location being a lot closer to the town centre. However we were still able to enjoy day trips to the Great Ocean Road.

Beautiful space for small groups
We loved coming here for a team offsite. Amazing local catering too. Stunning outlook.
