Preis-Leistung passt leider nicht, dennoch ausreichend für einen Kurztrip!

Das Thon Hotel liegt sehr zentral und befindet sich in unmittelbarer Lage zu vielen Geschäften, dem Wasser sowie jeglichen Busstationen. Das Frühstück war ausgewogen, von frischem Brot, Aufschnitt, Porridge, Obst und Gemüse war alles vertreten. Die Zimmergröße war auch vollkommen ausreichend für zwei große Koffer (wir waren im 6. Stockwerk). Die Koffer konnten wir am Abreisetage ohne Probleme zwischenlagern lassen. Personal war freundlich!

Bei Anreise erhielten wir einen "Voucher" für ein Evening Meal, welches sehr minimalistisch ausgefallen ist (Erbsensuppe veg. & relativ trockenes Brot, vermutlich vom Morgen?). Im Zimmer funktionierte leider der Kühlschrank nicht, im Badezimmer zeigten sich einige Defekte am Siphon. Der tropfte kontinuierlich, sodass bereits bei unserer Anreise der Mülleimer direkt darunter platziert war. Die Dusche war zwar groß & geräumig, allerdings kam uns bei jeder Dusche die Duschstange entgegen, da die obere Schraube inkl. Dübel nicht einwandfrei befestigt war. Es sah nicht nur unhygienisch aus, sondern beeinträchtige auch.

Decent hotel

The location is great, a few minutes walk to the main street and the port, where most activities start from, with lots of restaurants and shops nearby. The room was ok, beds where comfy and bathroom was clean and had a heated floor. The breakfast buffet was decent, with GF options, and their own home made bread which we loved.

It is overpriced for what you get. As a comparison, for the price of one night here we stayed 2 nights at Thon Rosenkrantz in Oslo which was 4* and hugely superior in quality and service. Tromso is of course a tourist town and more expensive, but they could offer better value for money. The receptionist was not very well informed about the area and what to recommend us to visit. We also asked if there was a ski slope nearby and she had to Google it.

The breakfast was very good! Probably the best one during my 2 weeks in Norway and location was perfect in the center.

Only point to notice was that the change of towels was not yet done before 15 pm and we had to ask to reception to do it.

A great place to stay in the heart of Tromso!

The room was very comfortable and I had a great night's sleep. The location is fantastic. Right in the middle of town. And my favorite part of my stay was the amazing breakfast buffet. It was filled with some many items including juice shots, and vegan/vegetarian friendly options. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Tromso!

Exceptional

If you like nespresso on demand, good breakfast, heated bathroom floors and right in downtown area then stay here. Staff is friendly and helpful. Only a 3 minute walk from the airport Express bus. I always stay here when in Tromso. Supermarket just 2 minutes away

As we arrived we were greeted by the staff and were given a full detailed instructions of the facilities and services. They even included a free coupon for a free dinner! They stay overall was nice but the double bed was riding solo at best... do be careful with towels however as being green means you may not get it back for a quick replacement... the breakfast was fair and good with a good selection of variety and quality. The dinner though... that was an experience you cannot forget! Left over breakfast with soup of the day that would put a soup kitchen to shame... location and convenience fair. Get what you pay for overall.

Dont offer coupons that make you look cheap. Also double bed does not mean 2 singles put together.

Very central location, pretty and completely clean hotel, very nice breakfast, spacious bathroom

The view was far from being great. The most negative point is clearly the price, even though it is comparable to other hotels in town. The city is of course unmissable but I strongly suggest to only spend a couple nights there and to rent a car if possible and find an accommodation in Kvaloya where you can find beautiful scenery, reindeers, Northern Lights and cheaper hotels

Exceptional

The staff at Thon Hotel Tromso was very friendly, especially the ladies responsible for breakfast and for supper in the mornings and evenings. The breakfast was delicious, wide range of food (and healthy food!!!) You could make some tea or coffee in the hall of the hotel whenever you wanted! The hotel is close to every meeting point for the activities we booked and very close to the centre. I have already recommended the hotel to friends and family who would like to visit Tromso too.

The kettle in our room was missing but, since we could make tea and coffee in the hall anytime we wanted, it didn‘t bother us.

This is my 3rd visit to Tromso, and 3rd time staying at The Thon. Tromso is a really lovely city. I usually stay for 4 n

modern decor in excellent condition. Great location. Very comfortable beds and pillows, room lovely and warm. wonderful staff throughout the hotel.

Small bed, not clean room, safe did not work and they did not have another room. Slow flush and sink.

Expected better for the price. Disappointed as this was special trip away.

Good location.

The breakfast room was very small so it was stressful waiting to get a table and then make our tour deadline. No soap in the shower and one of the lights did not work. Heard other people staying there also complaining about their facilities, such as their television or lights, not working.

pleasant experience, comfy beds, ideal for the town and restaurants and fair price with good breakfast

location was excellent, 5 minutes to everywhere. beds were very comfortable and soft, the two quilts on the double bed was good as there was no fighting over the quilt. Breakfast was good and varied although the hotel told us the wrong times on the first day it was fine.

The sheets were a bit unclean at one point and they were changed with sheets that had stains on, there was a centipede in the bathroom one day, I’m not bothered about an odd bug we get spiders and stuff at home but still not great. The tea and coffee sashays weren’t replaced when the room was cleaned, and the bottom of the kettle cracked randomly one night and flooded all over the electric wires. I told the staff but they said they couldn’t unplug it and just took the actual kettle away. Not an issue to us, but might have been dangerous if we had tried to turn it on.

Good breakfast, quite room, friendly service, adequate distance

The room wasn't fully cleaned when we checked in, there are rubbish left in the room by the last customer. Also the heat is too much, I recommend people turn it down a bit or leave the window open, or you might get too hot to sleep.
