Spacious, clean, quiet room for three located on the edge of a quaint market square set back from the high street. All facilities in addition to welcome snacks. easy walking distance to Warwick sights, shops and cafes plus transport links to other towns/villages in the area. Great breakfast available in the main pub building.
Not exactly a negative, but note some rooms are in an annex in front of the main pub (comfortable but different aesthetic) with stairs.

We enjoyed our staying in our room which was in the building on the square. Old building beautifully refurbished and the room was spotless. The breakfast was excellent with specialities, our waitress was really kind.

Food was exceptional (perhaps a little expensive) as was breakfast and not what I expected. I travelled with my dog and the staff were very good with him. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Bed very comfy. Room basic but no complaints.
Was a little noisy in the morning but not the fault of the Rose and Crown .... it's a town centre location.

Location...well, there could be ONE better location = inside of the Warwick castle :-)
But realistically, this was my best location ever!!
I took my dog, as this is dogs friendly place = everything was just perfect!! The staff is the bar staff, as dedicated as you could possibly imagine!!
EVERYTHING!

Central location in Warwick. The hotel is split into two buildings: we stayed in the building in front of the pub. Very quiet. The pub (were you have breakfast) is very nice and the staff very friendly. Also very good breakfast.

= The hotel is in Warwick town center, conveniently located - animate enough but quiet at night.
= Apparently there is public transport as I saw bus stops, but we didn't see a bus either the evening we arrived or the next day as we walked around town.
If you don't have your own transport, the train station is a 1.2km walk from the hotel (this is FYI)
= The hotel itself consists of two old world buildings. On the first floor of one is the restaurant where breakfast is served and you can eat for the rest of the day and evening.
We were accommodated in the second building, which is right on the square, no more than 50m from the other.
= There are lots of shops, cafes and restaurants around, also the Warwick Museum is right in front at the square.
= The room was not big, there was not space for many amenities, but it was clean, warm and cozy.
= The beds were comfortable
= The bathroom was large, very clean, bright and comfortable, has everything you need
= Nice tea, coffee, sugar, milk, cookies, glasses, kettle, 2 bottled waters in the room
= The staff were young people, attentive and helpful
= Breakfast is à la carte
= The restaurant has a very nice atmosphere. Unfortunately we arrived late and didn't have a chance to have dinner there, but we had breakfast and everything was great.
= The Warwick Castle is well close and is worth to be visited.
= The lack of an elevator can be mentioned as a small minus, as you have to climb steep stairs and this would be difficult if you have heavier luggage. But the buildings are old and I don't think an elevator would be possible.
Just keep that in mind.
= The people have really tried to make everything in these ancient buildings o'k, but I think the price per night is a little bit higher... Well, The Warwick Castle is over there on the hill ;)

Central location on market square
Room was opposite two very noisy pubs.
Breakfast wasn't included in price which was relatively expensive..Room was located separately to the pub with poor soundproofing...the room above was very noisy.
Decor/facilties need attention. Wallpaper peeling in corner of room. Window held open with a log that had splintered which was a health and safety hazard.
Gaffer tape on shower head
Rust marks in shower.
Faulty light in shower room.
Toilet cistern was running water constantly

The location was perfect as we were attending an event in Warwick Town centre. Staff were pleasant and efficient at booking in.
The room was OK but a bit tatty and needed small fixes, which I mentioned before departure. We slept well despite being on the main square.
I'd recommend it for the cheerful traveller but not for my mother in law.
Just good housekeeping, to repair a curtain and deal with minor damage.

Large room, great location and friendly staff.
Was a bit of noise coming through when the live band was playing downstairs in the pub on the Friday.. but to be fair the music was actually pretty good and didn’t go on till too late.
