Excellent, would come here again.

The location was superb, right next to the lake. The room was just as expected, all I needed. Loved the outdoor area, very pretty. The staff were friendly, welcoming and accommodating.

Overall real value for the money considering its location.

Breakfast only available at weekends. Otherwise, we were happy with the location - room - warm bathroom and restaurant.

The exhaust fan in the bathroom needs replacing it's rather noisy. Portable fan heater does not work [seized] hot water tap over basin needs a new washer.

Comfortable and good location.

Breakfast was not nice had to ask for something else on the menu but the staff were fast and happy to accommodate us. The first room we were put in had a very strong chemical smell and even with the doors and windows open we couldn't get rid of it and it was causing us to have headaches and slight dizziness. The reception girl knew something cause she changed us straight away without asking us any questions. The pool said heated but was cool, the spa was Lukewarm. The lodge itself was nice, comfortable and perfect location. Cleanliness was OK but the shower head was broken and wouldn't stay up and the curtains on the lounge main area don't fully close, I had to use a peg to keep them close so the motel rooms next door couldn't see in. The room we were in you weren't allowed to eat in which they don't state on the site and I though was strange. Not enough adequate heating for thus time of the year, our young son had to sleep with us to stay warm. Heater qas a sml fan and is to small for the room.

Good Room at a Good Price

Cute maritime themed room. View of the lake over a roof. Comfortable bed. Nice dinner at the restaurant.

A bit noisy with main road traffic and also bar pavilion in front of room.

Would stay here again and would recomend to others

We didn't eat here, we used the hot tub - was a bit gritty in the water . . . . . . extra towels supplied when we asked, I didn't use the free Wifi. Front counter gentleman was extremely polite, friendly and helpful - and had a good sense of humour.

We enjoyed our stay and would possibly stay again if we travel with the whole family.

We were not offered breakfast however the one night we ate in the restaurant was awesome. This is the perfect location if you are doing the IronMan,

Nice location, Clean & tidy rooms, staff were freindly and helpful. The food at the restaurant was great and at a reasonable price.

A quick overnight stop on a long journey. Lovely staff, on the lake front and close to shops and restaurants. Certainly

Late arrival but made very welcome. proximity to Lake Taupo. Helpfulness of the staff who did some urgent printing for me. Old, but warm decor! Very quiet at night which was appreciated.

A labyrinth of corridors, stairs and heavy fire doors - a real effort to even get to our room! No microwave or kitchen facilities at all. Just a kettle and fridge- no sink to wash mugs apart from the bathroom. Ageing decor but I found it quite homely.

Wouldn't recommend to anyone

The location here is about the best thing there was - it's handy to the lake and not far to a couple of restaurants and bars.

We arrived for check in at 1.30 - which we acknowledged was early and was told our room would be ready by 2. It wasn't ready until 3.30 and with 2 kids in tow there was nothing done to remedy this. The room was tiny, with 3 beds jammed into a tiny little space. The bathroom had mould in the corner by the shower and we couldn't close the door because it kept jamming. There is pretty much no space to move or do anything. The material in the room said the pool was open till 8.30 but when we went down at 8 it was padlocked and closed. The blinds let light into the room, the walls are paper thin and don't expect an open restaurant for breakfast during the week, only Saturday and Sunday.

Great water front property.

The ease of getting there and finding it. The fact they allow me to.park my motorcycle around the back. Friendly helpful staff.

Rustic cottage like experience

I love the cottage like feels of the cabins, it has a rustic ambience. The lodge is infront of the lake, so you have Lake Taupo upfront.

Good place , easy to find close to everything

great location on the lakefront. friendly helpful staff

The shower door didn’t have a runner so it was difficult to close had to have someone outside push it too.
