Disappointed, wont return

location and nothing else

holes in bathroom wall and broken toilet seat Broken curtain hooks so curtains didn't close properly disengaged staff at reception Broken glass bedside table corner, sharp and nearly cut my hand dirty bathroom, shower doors come right across leaving big gap no privacy with ranch slider opening onto car park

Great Location.

Location, close to town centre, lake and restaurant on site.

The state of the net curtains on ranch slider, torn and looked very untidy. The drapes on same area were stained. Bed not the most comfortable.

Lakeside location.

Twin Peaks is an easy walk to town along the lake. There is a pub next door for meals and drinks. I thought that it might be a bit noisy as we were right next to it but that wasn't a problem. We made use of the free laundry while we were there as it was very convenient.

The staff were very accommodating and the location was perfect.

The room advertised let us to believe the room booked had two separate double bed rooms off of the main living area. There was only one separate room, with a double bedroom in the living area, which was less than idea for our group.

The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The location was within walking distance to town and restaurants.

My bed was a little uncomfortable, bit of a lump in the mattress, other than that relatively comfortable for the duration of my stay.

Excellent business stay, good Internet connexion and good parking.

Great location short walk to the downtown lakefront area, excellent pub restaurant part of the building, great home cooked food and good atmosphere.

Overall it was okay but I wouldn't stay again as it wasn't value for money.

Great view and the spa was good.

It was outdated and needs alot of cosmetic work to make it look nice, could do with new furniture as the existing table etc are damaged, needs paint work done too.

You get what you pay for on the lake front

Location and price.

Room didn't have much privacy - people could easily peer in if curtains weren't closed. Carpet needs to be replaced. Rooms and bathroom need a revamp.

Great location, great staff but dated facilities.

Our first room that we booked was lovely. Albeit dated it was clean with a nice kitchenette and good bathroom facilities. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. We were forced to stay in Taupo owing to cyclone Gabrielle hitting Auckland and Tina was extremely helpful and accommodating in finding us another room to stay in until we were able to leave. The location is superb with great views and access to the town a few minutes away.

Unfortunately our 2nd room was extremely dated, had no kitchenette to wash cutlery & crockery and was even missing something as simple as side table lamps, so is in serious need of a facelift. The cost of the 2nd room was definitely not value for money.

for the price I’d expect better. wasn’t clean felt gross, you could hear your neighbour fart. didn’t sleep a wink.

Wouldn’t book to stay here again. Wasn’t worth the price

Good location

Water in the shower was either really hot or freezing cold. Beds were all super uncomfortable most of us woke up with bad backs. Rips in carpet, really loud. Door didn’t lock properly. Room looked absolutely nothing like the photos. Woke up feeling really itchy. Bathroom was a little dirty.

The views of Lake Taupo and the large family unit with plenty of room.

Although the beds were comfortable, the rest of the furniture was very tired and worn, the seat of the dining room chair fell off when I moved it. The light was broken in the bathroom, flicking on and off. The front glass door had a crack in it. It would be concerning if a toddler banged on this.
