Lovely hotel with great friendly staff and nice food especially breakfast.
Charming hotel but not wow factor for price of the room.
3.0
The breakfast was great and the bed was really comfortable.
The door to the bathroom was really difficult to close as it got stuck on the carpet.
The shower didn’t drain well and would have flooded the bathroom if I’d tried to use it. My partner got in the shower but had to get out when he realised the problem. We only stayed for one night and tried showering in the morning so there was no time to resolve the issue before checking out.

Cooked breakfast was excellent, staff were all very friendly and helpful
Bed was too soft, little bit of mold in the bottom of the wardrobe (old building so maybe fair enough), cobwebs in the eves, no hot water on our second day, expected more for the money we paid
5.0
the staff were very friendly and the breakfast was very good
generally very tired decor. curling wallpaper edges, missing tiles on bathroom floor, paintwork around windows (especially outside) peeling and dirty, dust -especially on wardrobe top in middle where someone standing on the floor could reach- a few cobwebs, replacement of toilet roll holder not repainted over old position. Just VERY tired!

such friendly & helpful staff. beautiful old buildings with a gorgeous little outdoor courtyard & pretty gardens.
The showers needed replacing, were dated and 2 of our group had no hot water.

Breakfast was perfectly adequate and met my needs.
The hotel was quiet and overall excellent value for money.
The bar area could have been a little more comfortable.

Staff friendly. Bed comfortable.
Sani flow toilet noisy when flushed, and bad drain smell on my first night.
Drawer handles come off when trying to open.
Breakfast served in bar area which was cold and draughty, so the food didn't stay hot long.

Reception and kitchen staff was very friendly & helpful.
Bed was very comfy & clean while also being quiet.
Decent size for one
Breakfast was good
The shower temperature was very poor on the highest temperature + high it was Luke warm at best.
After you flush it sounds like someone has put a tap on high for a while. Sounds like it can wake the other guests.
Does feel too warm at night I have had this problem with other hotels as well.

The hotel is in a good location, the staff are friendly and helpful and the bar and breakfast were both good.
The room was small and not particularly impressive for the price per night. There were no bedside lamps which are not a necessity, but meant that you had to get out of bed to turn off the lights or stumble around in the darkness to get into bed. We were in Saffron room and were woken at about 7:30am by extremely noisy plumbing courtesy of what we think is a header tank situated in the roof space above the room.
