Easy to get to from M1.
Blood on bathroom floor so a little unpleasant.

We stayed for evening meal . Absolutely gorgeous. Lovely polite staff . Always there if you needed help with anything. We used the spa facilities. Was a lovely added extra. At No extra cost 😀 we also had breakfast, again was lovely. Lots to chose from, again staff couldn’t be more helpful. Would definitely recommend.

Wish I’d of had a better view from the window

Breakfast was fine. Staff present during breakfast were polite.
Room was decent, however, housekeeping could be improved. We did not have bottled water in the room and had to ask from reception. On day 2, bedlinens were changed but did not give us back our duvet. Bins were not emptied and remained full to the brim on day 3. I tidy up my bed before leaving. Day 3 was the only day that the linen was made differently to how I would normally leave them--so housekeeping was in. However, the dirt on the floor that I noticed the night before was still present. There were a few rooms who left their used glasses by the door and these were not removed--were in the corridor for 2 consecutive mornings. My family booked a different room and stayed overnight. Their room was also not so clean, no bottled water, aircon not working and when they informed front desk they were just given an electric fan that was quite dusty so ended up not using it.

Room was very comfortable and well equipped. Bathroom had clearly just been renovated and was very nice with plenty of good quality toiletries supplied. Bed was very comfortable and nice touch having complimentary bottles of water and tea/coffee as well as take away cups which I have never seen before in a hotel but is such a good idea!
Breakfast was really good. Fantastic choice of options and very good quality. One of the best hotel breakfasts I have had in a long time. Very friendly staff at breakfast too. In fact all the staff we had contact with during our stay were very friendly and helpful. Definitely makes a difference having smiley, friendly staff! If we visit Nottingham again, I would most definitely stay here again.

It was a standard Marriot experience, the same problem at the Manchester Piccadilly existed here too, the rooms are dusty and carpets need spot cleaning.
The Spa was nice.
The dusty room and stains on the carpet, there was no wow factor at the breakfast room with very standard choice. The vegetarian sausage was terrible, the hot water machine did not work, the staff were nice but very few, they took very long to fulfil orders if they remembered at all. The juices were not fresh, from concentrate with added SUGAR. Breakfast was quite disappointing. Even getting plates and cutlery to eat the food bought from outside took a ridiculous amount of time while the bar man faffed about looking for such. We asked to order food from the restaurant, the staff told us to go out to get food nearby because the hotel restaurant was not good! I was absolutely shocked and had to go to the local Indian restaurant.
The bed in the room was not properly made I could see the exposed mattress the sheets were just dangling down. I had to ask for an extra duvet as it was quite cold and the original duvet was quite thin. Judging by the state of the room it simply seems as if the room itself is not actually cleaned, just bedding changed, a wipe over bathroom and the bins emptied.

I was put in an accessible room to start with where the bath was tiny and the sink was far too low for me to use properly. I was also next to a general managers office where I had to listen to a woman talk loudly for hours all night and was woken again around 5am listening to her speak very loudly. The room was very basic for the price I paid per night. The staff when I asked to change room were happy to facilitate this however the other times I spoke to staff I found them to be quite rude. I wasn’t asked how my stay was or anything personalised, I feel that I was an inconvenience to them by just being a guest. I also thought there would have been a fridge in the room which there wasn’t. My second room was very hot and there was a fan provided however effective air conditioning would have been better. The spa was nice however very busy (not the hotels fault of course) but I didn’t understand why in the woman’s changing room there was only shampoo and shower gel provided and not any conditioner- I washed my hair in the changing rooms and then had to finish washing it back in my room where I had access to conditioner. I also attempted to order room service on the first night however couldn’t get through. The second night I ordered a takeaway and asked the reception if I could have a plate and cutlery which they said would be brought up - that never arrived and I when I went to the bar area to get some he disappeared for a good 5 mins before coming back with a very small plate and some cutlery for me.

Clean and comfortable. Good location with lots of free parking.
On the night we ate at the hotel they had a large group of guests all ordering at the same time. Dinner took ages to be served. Not really a fault of the staff who did their level best to look after us. Management maybe should have done better on the face of it, but there may have been a problem in the background to be fair. Pricing in the restaurant was on the dear side.

The hotel it’s self is a nice stay and the function rooms was very spacious
The fact that we didn’t have air con in our room and there was sand in our shower and the bathroom wasn’t clean like expected

Very nice welcome, on entering the room it had a nasty smell from the drains which filled the room. The curtains were hanging off at the ends and did not fully shut. The bathroom had an awful smell and needed a refurb, old peeling mastic, and paint, Bed was hard and squeaked.
When I mentioned these things to the pleasant guy on front desk he put us in the Cook suit which was so much better, bed was silent but hard, room was clean except for the top of TV, bed bars, mirror, and window sill.
Bed too hard, dust on many surfaces, tired decor in bathroom with peeling paint and nasty rubber filler mastic,

Room
Had to ask for towels and toilet paper. Laundry and dirty plates with food left outside other rooms all day. Run out of bacon and bread some mornings. Food on the bar was overpriced.

Stayed for a conference at this venue so very convenient for that. Staff very friendly and helpful, including cleaning staff who were very cheerful when I met them in the corridors!
Poor attention to detail in the room, especially the bathroom. Peeling paint on ceiling, mouldy sealant around shower. Black mark on pillowcase, towels had faint staining. Expected more given the reputation of the chain and the cost of the room.

Beds were comfortable and sound. Breakfast was good.
The shower was difficult to control. It took many minutes to get warm and didn’t stay at a constant temperature.
Keys didn’t work on spa/pool so didn’t use those facilities.

Location to the motorway
Staff didn’t seem to care at all apart from restaurant staff. Room was dirty. Bed linen dirty. Bathroom dirty and grimy. I only stayed one night and mentioned it on check out. The receptionist wasn’t bothered at all no apology nothing. I would rather sleep in the car than in this hotel. Dust everywhere and no mattress protector. Yuk! Took photos

the breakfast was lovely and fresh! staff were hospitable
the room next door to us was full of kids being extremely loud luckily we were moved to a different room, but I feel that sort of hotel shouldn’t allow kids.

Food was a bit questionable and a bit overpriced, to be honest. Otherwise, stay was great. Staff were all very accommodating.

Staff were incredible and accommodating. Very warm and friendly. Nothing was ever too much.
Special mention to Alicia for making our mummy and daughter stay so special.
To Naomi and Callum in the restaurant. And a wonderful young lady who's name began with S at breakfast.
To Toby in the lounge and to Sharon at the front desk. All of the staff we encountered were warm, welcoming and so friendly. Thank you for making the time spent with you so pleasant.
Room was spacious and clean. Very comfortable. Lovely lovely stay.

Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff; the reception desk team could not have been any more helpful if they tried, they were exceptional
The bed and pillows, probably the best bed I’ve ever slept in !!!

We were visiting for a family special birthday but the whole experience lacked any sense of being special. There was not enough staff to operate the bar, reception or restaurant. It took around 10-15 minutes to check in, 10-15 minutes to get a drink. There was beer being advertised that was not available. An incorrect meal was provided during our meal service and there was no offer for this to be corrected or any consideration for the error. We needed to ask at each point for things such as cutlery and crockery to serve the cake.
The bedroom was very tired, noisy and not up to the standard for the price. We stayed at the premier inn for 2 nights before and this experience by far was much better and for a fraction of the price. We asked to be moved and this was not an option.
The room tv did not work correctly. Upon speaking with reception, we were told they were too busy and would be with us later and then advised to turn the tv on and off and see if that helps. If this didn’t work, report back to reception and they would get to us when we can.
There was a person working in what appeared to be a stock room just down from our bedroom. The door was open when the person was working which we found unprofessional.
This hotel was booked to provide an experience for a special occasion yet this was failed in all areas.

I think the place is getting a bit tried and in need of a refurbishment, staff are nice but they could do with some management support
6.0
Bathroom was very clean, bed and bedding were so comfy, the room was quiet other than the described noise. Lots of parking and easy to check in and out.
I’m not sure what the noise was but a loud noise woke me up multiple times, I think it was water pipes. It made the stay less comfortable. The shelves above the kettle were visibly dusty.
