apart from main heater the owner GARY was ecellent chatting and comimng to see we were settled

the comfortable bed with hotel white sheets the upstairs sunny room

the wall heater didnt go so needs servicng on room 204 as it was so cold being middle off winter

Pleasant

Location was great, super close to everything. Parking was very convenient being right outside our room. Garry was amazing to deal with and super helpful. Will definitely be returning ☺️

Don’t advertise animals can stay if you don’t have anywhere to go toilet for them

I loved that the had Netflix on there tvs you didn’t have to make one

I didn’t like that it says you can bring your dogs and they have absolutely no where to go to the toilet so you have to walk them over to Hayley so they could go toilet even tho there is a courtyard there that they could use but the staff tell you not to let your animals go toilet on it, also the walls and floors are really thin I could hear every movement upstairs if I was staying here to get my rest I would of asked for my money back, no phone to call staff if you have a problem very poorly put together

Awesome

Clean Hotel, Some of the Windows need fixing but nothing worth complaining about. The room was comfy and unexpectedly warm. Good water pressure. The staff was really friendly. Compared to the Hotel we stayed. I would prefer this motor lodge.

The toilet window need fixing the lock came off.

I dont normally write reviews but this has to be written. This was by far the worst place I have ever stayed. Where do I start, opening the door to the room there was a horrible stench, old and dated visually. We went to get glasses out to have a few drinks and the cups were not clean, smelt the glass's and they literally smelt like feces . Went to grab the dishwashing liquid to clean them and it had been watered down it was unusable. Ended up getting our own cups... Had showers and the water leaked out to the kitchen as the drain was blocked? Looked like other people have said this in there reviews and the owner doesn't seem to care, it pissed me right off as it wet our bags of clothes 😡 Handle on bedside table was missing also said in other reviews Microwave bench was directly above the hobs so under the bench had a massive build up of grease. I was very upset because we were up for my partners birthday celebration.

needs renovation! a little bit of love to the room and living area

I loved the location.

our room was a little old, smelled bad like old. the carpet was broken, needs a revamp. although the toilet was new. the sink in the shower was blocked.

Close to town and park and price.

Toilet door didn't lock. Shower didn't drain. Bathroom sink tap almost falling off. Bedside light didn't work. Smoker smell. Maintenance needs to improve.

Location good, Bed comfy, but needs some work to tidy up. Not good for the tourists to use.

Location was great out of the City

Needs a tidy up outside, pull drapes back, make it looked lived in. Didn't seem to be any NZ Channel TV available. No Guest Book with info on how to operate TV. Faucet tap in Bathroom needs tightening. The face plate around microwave needs a good clean. Wall heater taped up, doesn't look good.

Price, location

The room smelled of smoke, this may be linked to the cigarette burns in chair. Bed cover had stains. Shower wasn't clean as in there was scum marks from bottles on the glass shelf in the shower!, wall by toilet not clean either. And yet no dust on kickboard or frames??? 1 chair at table(outside) we borrowed one from the next table and had abuse hurled at us at 11pmish and our wall being bashed on. We had no back door to leave from, and only way out front door was on balcony past the room yelling abuse. We did ring manager and assured a warning would be given. From what the neighbour was saying we think she was in emergency housing and may be some one she knew was removed from our unit. Not sure.... Photo on hubby phone, I'll update later.

Over priced for an average stay

Good location

Reserved a 2 bedroom apartment for 3 adults. To my surprise we were given a 1 bedroom plus single bed, we arrived for a late check in so didn't have a chance to ask for the correct room. Unfortunate as I paid for the 2 bedroom rate.

Disappointing

The linen was clean and the bathroom was new.

Booked for 3 beds, only 2 were there so had to get the 3rd made up and were made to feel guilty for asking for the 3rd bed that we had paid for. There was also mold on the windows and the carpets were dirty. There was only one face cloth between the three of us. There were huge ashtrays out on the balcony that looked like they had not been emptied for weeks. The beds were also very soft and there were no extra pillows, which wasn't great, but that's more personal preference than a bad thing. It was just the icing on the cake after a rough start.
