Superb location with good walks nearby. The mill wheel was a feature in the bar.
Our room was small, we were hardly able to pass one another between bed and desk.

Loved the views , food was pretty tasty too
Facilities were sub standard , low water pressure for the shower , bad smell in the room what smelt like sick

The room was clean and comfortable although it was small - and the bathroom was especially small.
The public areas were very tired and dirty. Food ordered in the restaurant had to be sent back to the kitchen because it was lukewarm rather than hot when delivered to the table. The minimal staff at breakfast were struggling to replenish the buffet, and there was very little to choose from: at only half way through the breakfast service some essentials had completely run out (a usual situation according to one member of staff!). The number of staff on duty was clearly inadequate to look after the guests in a completely full hotel.
Although parking was available, there were no spaces reserved for disabled guests, and there were insufficient spaces for a full hotel - thus we had to park some distance away in a public car park.

Location is great and the staff are always welcoming and helpful
The rooms are a bit tired. We had a superior double on our first stay which was very spacious but a standard double on this trio which was a little cramped. We were going to have a few drinks in the bar after dinner but the bar area was freezing so we retired to our room

The room was clean and tidy and the bed was comfortable.
Prior to booking we called to check room service was available but on arrival (within a couple of hours) were told this was not possible. We went for breakfast in the “amber” time and already there was no fruit or pastries.

Friendly staff nice food and good acccomadation, the views are lovely from main hotel
Cold in the corridor but you've got to try and save money on heating somewhere

Hermit haven. I liked how room 514 reminds me of a Hobbit cottage. This pad served my needs. Why pay for something if you're not going to enjoy it? This borderline Hikikomori got to do all the simple things he should be allowed to do elsewhere. I've sort of turned it into a Protect & Survive fallout shelter. Very cosy.
The guests on New Years Eve had to chat in the halfway? Some peoples lack of an open mind?

A member of your (reception) team needs to be retrained on how to deal with the customers in a polite and respectable way with out losing it in front of my self and wife and other customers as cctv shows 16/12/2022 14.10 we will not be treated like this and will not be staying again .
