Very good stay and value for money

The CRM Representative Geetha was exceptional. She ensured a seamless checkin and checkout, addressed all of our requests in a very professional and friendly manner. She is a great asset to the property. Breakfast was very good, the pool side restaurant was also very good. The best thing was the access to the beach. Overall a very great experience

Nothing significant. Some of the staff require a bit of training - I was disturbed 2 times by staff knocking at the wrong room for service and check out. Also there is a lot of traffic while checking out particularly around noon - this could be better managed.

Perfect for family re-unions and holidays

The villa style rooms are so charming. We went with family and took rooms side-by-side. Kids enjoyed the whole property. There was a kids club where they enjoyed playing video games after their swimming session, my daughter got to paint seashells etc...albeit for an extra charge.The staff is amazing at this property and will look after you as their own. There is 24hrs housekeeping available.

The food quality could be improved. It lacked consistency, some days were great and I guess it slipped when they were busy. Indian selections were great, continental and Goan counters could be better.

Great vacation spot for family. We enjoyed beach in morning and the pool in the evening . Food quality was good. Restaur

Property spread was very good. The entrance to the beach with the property was nice ..breakfast spread was great ..ambience and good . The pool was fantastic. Kids play area was cool . The hospitality of the team at restaurant was awesome.

The team at receiption did not treat nor did they coordinated things property. The rooms were a bit compact for 2 adult plus one kid

A luxurious stay at a very clean and green resort.

The swimming pools were really good. The beach was quite decent. The breakfast spread could've been better. I would have liked to see more varieties of South Indian options other than the standard Dosa and Idly. The property was amazingly well maintained - kudos to the staff for a green and extremely clean resort.

The room allocated was nice, but, the staff should have been more forthcoming with room options and shown a couple of rooms instead of just allocating a room. I surely would've upgraded to a better room, if the staff had been willing to show me the options - especially when the resort was well below capacity, given that this was an off-season visit.

Awesome memorable experience

The rooms were next to each other. Biggest plus point. The boutique villa room size was vast. The property is mainly on ground floor which I liked. Totally resort feel. The housekeeping and room service was excellent. Very prompt even when it was raining. Clean upkeep of lawns and other facilities. The beach was well connected to resort. The chef took our suggestion at the breakfast well and prepared us another dish as per our requirements. The pools was also excellent, quite deep upto 6'7" at one end which we enjoyed a lot. In fact a deep pool is one of the major criteria for booking as all family members love to swim. Holiday inn next door should work upon this. They will get more customers .Overall a very pleasant and excellent experience in our stay at Novotel Dona Sylvia resort

The pool bar should be in the pool as in other resorts. We shouldn't need to go out to order or drink. We would have loved to be in pool to have our drinks like other resorts. Otherwise for a drinks near the pool, the bar was quite good

Novotel stay in Bad taste because of restaurant breakfast serving terrible staff!!

The proximity to the beach is fabulous. Absolutely wonderful location. The resort is huge and has great restaurants plus busy with many travelers.

Well how much ever we tried to like our stay there and try not to spoil our mood by the following points (we survived and didn’t get angry) but will share our problems in hope that you will take it for improvement. 1- the first thing we noticed was heavy cow dung odor which could be manure in the garden. That smell stayed and dominated the stay ;(( 2- the property isn’t new and hence the old property has it’s worn out feel. 3- the aircon took a while to cool and we had to call the staff to fix it. ( for tourists this all Kills time. 4- the breakfast experience on second day of our stay was terrible. The resort had an event going on the previous night and probably it was some state bank of india event hence they had moved our group of 4 to a make shift place where food and service was pathetic. I can fill an essay criticizing about each item like the idlis were dry and the waiter pointed us to take a pre made tea from dispenser etc etc etc( this was out last breakfast before 4 of us were separating as this was our reunion after 6 years). The previous day the chef had promised us an all Goan breakfast which he had prepared too but WHAT pathetic front office/ serving staff they didn’t listen to me because I had promised myself to not lose temper and my learning is if you don’t shout people don’t listen but why??? You should set a team and inquire such behavior is not expected and can ruin someone’s holiday!!!!!

Some of the staff was very kind specially Geeta and Ashita. It was on the beach so beach walks were pleasant. Environment of the resort was good with happy vibes. We enjoyed swimming time in pools.

The rooms weren't exciting for a 5 star property. They put twin bed together for us but they were extremely uneven heights, aircon didn't work for one day. Cats roaming in food area tried to keep eating scraps and it wasn't the most pleasant experience while eating dinner.

I don’t recommend this hotel to any travelers who are used with international brands.

Only the garden was good.

Everything else - poor service, poor cleanliness of the room, extremely poor response for any services asked. They are just ruining Novotel brand name.

Very happy we made the right choice to stay at Donna Sylvia - Wished it could have been longer

Amazing experience - The room was large and very comfortable with a balcony. Although it was a resort with the cottages spread out the housekeeping was very fast even at 11 at night. Very friendly and service with a smile. While the check-in and check out was ok the experience with the restaurant and the room service/housekeeping is what made the difference especially when one is travelling with family, the hotel aced it in that dept. We went to their Italian restaurant - exceptional food ... Must try. The spread for breakfast is truly exceptional - We have travelled to many resorts around the world - I would rank this in the top 3 we have stayed in.

There was nothing negative that stood out as what we wanted they provided and that too very fast.

Very well laid out property, amazing landscaping with lots of greenery and spots to relax in. 2 pools, spotlessly clean beach and lots of restaurants right outside (Robins Ark is our fav). Handy games room for the kids too

Check in and check out were both very slow and tedious. had to wait over an hour at check in eventhough we arrived after 3pm, there was only one person working. Housekeeping and restaurant service is also disappointing, large number of trainees / seasonal workers seem to make up the teams....

There was no wifi in the room (frangipani square). The dinner buffee didnt justify the price. We were charged double the price for the taxi (the taxi who brought us took 1500 and the hotel's taxi 3000)

An expensive hotel for India but it was great for 5 nights, the staff were very helpful & polite.
