Ausgezeichnet

Es ist wirklich das perfekte Hotel für einen Besuch von Sigiriya. Hier stimmt einfach alles: Lage, Ausblick, Personal, Zimmer, Pool, Service, Atmosphäre und nicht zuletzt das unglaublich tolle Frühstück. Ohne unsere Übernachtungen hier, wäre ein Besuch von Sigiriya nur halb so schön gewesen! Wir würden auf jeden Fall wieder hier übernachten!

It was adequate but not impressive enough for me to return.

Superb view of Sigiriya.

3 friends travelling together but placed in rooms very far apart. Rooms rather dark and gloomy. Restaurant not very inspiring.

ロケーションは良いが、あまりこだわる必要なし

シギリヤロックの近くにあるホテルということでチョイスしました。チェックイン時間より早く着いたのですが、頑張って部屋を用意してくれたようでとてもありがたかったです。

原因はよくわかりませんが、部屋の中がずっとペンキの匂いが充満していました。シーリングファンをつけると余計に匂いがきつく、結局シーリングファンを止めて暑い中寝ることになりました。（エアコンはあります）また欧米人の子連れが多く（たまたまバカンスの時期がかぶったのかもしれませんが）ホテルのどこにいても子供が走り回っていて、とても騒がしかったです。

Leicht veraltetes Hotel mit toller Lage

Vom Hotel aus hat man einen schönen Blick auf den Lion Rock. Sehr aufmerksames Zimmer- und Barpersonal. Leckeres Frühstück mit großer Auswahl mit mehreren Kochstationen, an denen das Essen frisch zubereitet wird. Viel Angebot an Aktivitäten und tägliche Abendunterhaltung.

Renovierungsbedürftige Zimmer. Viele Kalkflecken im Bad. Unaufmerksames Servicepersonal im Restaurant. (Wir wurden nicht an einen Platz geführt. Es war kein Tisch eingedeckt und wir mussten erst um Besteck bitten. Der Kellner hat sich während wir bestellen wollten einfach weggedreht und mit anderen Personen gesprochen. Teller wurden erst recht spät abgeräumt)

Het ontbijt - buffetvorm vinden we onpersoonlijk - niet geschikt voor een ons We begrijpen dat dit alleen werkt met veel gasten In de avond ook nooit deelgenomen aan de buffetten, a la carte eten uitstekend en gezellig in de bar!

Double standards towards local guests

Location and food.

Double standards of the staff to locals vs. foreigners. This was the first time I had to rush to a local grocery store and buy a soap bar as the staff refused to give one. Also, one bathroom towel for 2 guests.

Natural surroundings lovely pool area

Beautiful location amongst the trees with great view of the rock. The complex itself is a bit outdated and reminiscent of a holiday camp with a maze of single story rooms but the interiors have been modernised and although we’re dimly lit we’re comfortable. The outside seating area by the room was not nice though. Public areas were clean and well maintained, the pool was clean and refreshing, there were sometimes not enough sunbeds though. Outside a short walk away we’re a good selection of restaurants and bars with a nice laid back vibe. Breakfast was good with a lot of variety. Bar did a happy hour each evening and there was subtle live music. Wifi good. Monkeys in the trees next to the pool were entertaining

Excellent emplacement au calme

Chambres spacieuses et propres qui donnent sur la végétation. La vue du Rocher depuis la piscine. La verdure. Le personnel souriant. Le calme. Les cocktails.

Le fait de devoir payer un supplément (cher) pour une arrivée anticipée (2h avant l’heure officielle du Check-in) alors que les chambres étaient prêtes. Le bruit du personnel de ménages le matin (notre chambre était proche de leur réserve)

Fantastic stay, great scenery, lovely staff

Fantastic quality, they know how to accomodate to every need possible. Great scenery, good food and drinks, great massages, good pool. Close to every spot in Sigiriya, you can walk from the hotel to lions rock/Pidurangala.

They know how to make good money off of tourists!

Exceptional

This was without doubt the best experience I had in Sri Lanka, the staff were very keen to help and the accommodation first class - I will return and highly recommend it to my friends and family. Excellent buffet and breakfast. Staff were professional and customer focused, which seems to be rare quality, they do not wait for tips or loiter which appears to be quite rare in these difficult times

Having to leave...there was really nothing to be improved upon. An excellent establishment first class 👏 👌 👍

The room

Did not give any option of food. I am an Indian and I do not eat pork, beef and oysters .. and the buffet just have this. Ordered Ala cart and it wasn't great

Great family resort in best location

Friendly family resort-style hotel near the World Heritage site. Very clean with well appointed rooms, nice bar, pool and restaurant. Highly recommended!

Superb

Breakfast and dinner were very good value for money and both had good variety of different cuisines. The room was really nice and had doors that opened out to a garden with monkeys living in their natural habitat. The pool had good views of sigiriya The bar area was a particular highlight as the staff were so friendly and helpful. All in all a great experience and we would return if ever going back to Sigiriya.
