Würde kein zweites Mal buchen

Die Unterkunft ist außerhalb vom Trubel und schon fast ein wenig ländlich gelegen. Man kann vor der Tür wie auf einer kleinen Terrasse sitzen. Der Besitzer ist nett.

Die Einrichtung ist insgesamt sehr in die Jahre gekommen und die Polyestergardinen und Plastikblumen fand ich nicht besonders ansprechend. Viel schlimmer aber war, dass es absolut nicht sauber war, auf dem Boden überall Krümel und Haare, die Mülleimer nicht geleert, das Bettlaken fleckig und zerrissen. Das Badezimmer war eine einzige Katastrophe und wirkte wie seit Jahren nicht wirklich gereinigt. Es stank aus dem Abfluss, aus dem zudem während des Duschens noch Tiere gekrochen kamen (Frösche und Würmer). Aus keinem der insgesamt drei sehr unappetitlichen Duschköpfe kam warmes Wasser. Ich habe Wäsche abgegeben, die anschließen nicht nur komplett zerknittert, sondern vor allem nicht richtig sauber war und schlecht gerochen hat. Musste sie in der nächsten Unterkunft noch einmal waschen lassen.

La tranquilidad que hay a la hora de dormir. Además, está muy bien cuidado y el personal muy amable. Cuentan con un servicio de tuk tuk para ir a atracciones locales.

Buena relación calidad-precio, cama y baño privado básicos. Localización conveniente en Dambulla. El desayuno está bien. El dueño está a tu disposición para cualquier asistencia o duda. Gracias!

Limpieza justa, aunque es algo generalizado en Srilanka. Mismo desayuno todos los días, mucho pan, incluiría una huevos en su lugar.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The whole place is very calm and we felt really relaxed here. The room had all we needed, bed was comfortable. Here we had the biggest breakfast of our whole Sri Lanka trip. The host also helped organize tuk tuk for us with super friendly driver. Overall was the host super helpful!

Dambulla homestay

The host is very courteous , has good knowledge of the surroundings in this area ,also about food delivery,helped with the sightseeing arrangements and provided the right guidance.The tuk tuk guy Santh was also very polite ,patient to wait and was on time while I went to explore Sigiriya and Pidurangala rock.The room is good enough for one person with a nice dressing mirror.When my auto didnt arrive when I had to leave from this place to my next destination Gaya was kind enough to drop me off at the bus stand.Thanks for saving my time and the help is really appreciated.I definitely recommend this place for a solo traveler.

There was an odd stench in the bathroom so had to keep the exhaust on all time.Use a better doormat as the one in the room was too thin not absorbing the water.

Disappointing

Cheap. Takes 5-10min to reach the main roundabout, but you need to light the path with something in the dark. Decent WiFi.

I don't like to give negative reviews, and out of so many stays I rarely do. But I honestly can"t recommend staying there. The current online rating is deceiving. Everything in the room needs to be either cleaned or replaced. Sheets are stained, even the replacement ones that were kindly and very quickly delivered. The room has a smell of an old apt. I guess all the fabrics (pillows, mattresses, curtains) have mold in it. Not the light smell, either. They clean the dust, but everything is covered in grease. The table looked like it was used in a cafeteria or something from the accumulated grease stains all over. You get every type of bug in your room, even lizards. Also either there are rodents in the room or in the ceiling because I found some small rodent excrement on the mattress in the morning. Could be mice, could be squirrel since there are plenty of them around. If you use AC, you will hear water dripping non-stop since it falls into the shower from the height of 1.5m. Also, the checkout felt a bit scammy since the price in local currency increased by 10-15%. When asked about it, the host explained fluctuation in currency rates the day before, which, of course, wasn't the case or at least not even close to the percentage mentioned. All in all - if it would say it is cheap and the rating is 6, then I would not mind. But the current image of cheap and rating 9 is absolutely deceiving.

Perfect location for a short stay in Dambula and small budget

Location is perfect as the hotel is in a « peaceful » area close to the busy main streets of the city center. Owner was always super available for any type of querries.

Leaks due to high rains in the room and mosquito net could be replaced since several big holes.

The location is perfect, 10min walk from Main Street but with quite surrounding, the host is helpful and friendly and arranged my trip to Sigiriya with very beautiful route taken, the room is clean and have a view of sunset sunrise. The only thing I missed was the breakfast cause I set off too early in the morning.

Great and would definitely recommend for stay in Dambulla

It is very close to Dambulla town and the environment is very quiet and peaceful. We stayed there for one night and the owner was really friendly. Great value for the money. Comfortable bed and rooms. Nice common area for socializing and meeting other travelers. Will definitely come back here again.

Peaceful property away from city sounds .. Stay is awesome

Place is very quite & paceful around 800mts from main road, Gayan was awesom guy he welcomed us to th property as w reached lat night to th place gav us welcome drink and arrangd tuk tuk for us and suggstd good hotl to have som food .. Morning Breakfast was awesome...Loved the property

Night time there are no stret lights due to ongoing crisis in srilanka so to reach road we ned some vehicle.. rest all are good

A really nice place to stay in Danbulla

Amazing place! The owner is very good and friendly! Calm and quiet environment. The rooms were spacious & up to the standard and all the little amenities made my 2 nights stay very enjoyable. Highly recommended.

Clean and quiet place, close enough to main town.

Good location, quite surroundings, clean place and nice room and terrace. Friendly host that welcomed us with juices.

Breakfast included in room price but bread should be toasted and we were charged for first tea/ instant coffee with out been told was extra. First time that happens. Guests should know if is any extra cost before been served.
