the breakfast was great. Comfy bed. Quiet.
Battled a bit with the water - to manage it, but it's a good idea to save water so you live with that. when you have to sit and work the light in the working space is not great.

Fabulous view from the room
Special to have a balcony for early morning coffee
Convenient location
The drain in the bathroom needs attention.

The view at breakfast
I booked our stay little over a month before the time and mailed them to say it's my partners birthday and if they do something special for guests.i only heard back f them a couple of days before our check in date and suggested R500 for petals on the bed.i would like if they said Happy birthday him at check in.Nobody offered assistance with our luggage and my partner carried all our things down four flights of stairs.
The breakfast was horrible, food and service no fresh juice/water,I understand if they run.we felt like we were disturbing, them .no waiter came to check up while we had breakfast, horrible coffee
Horrible service,
Worse was when someone came knocking on the door to ask if we were coming to eat, maintenance is important but we should've been informed before the time about it.
Margerine at breakfast why not butter
Why not ala carte instead of ticking off combos the night before and not being flexible to make the breakfast pleasant.
We could hear children playing in the community, and staff laughing and talking loudly early in the morning .

My room was clean
The breakfast was no't nice, there is no restaurant on-site so I had to order outside also it's very small with little things to do.

Breakfast was great and view from the top floor was really nice.
On the lowest level the shower water pressure and wifi wasn't great
10.0
The Views, the Garden, The Pool area and the friendly staff- the location also has a generator on site to ensure electricity and wifi are always available
My room was a little small and I'm not a fan of carpets in a room. Neighbouring guests were allowed to party until 3am and kept guests up

they paid attention to reviews and fixed a lot of things that I saw people complaining about in the past, very impressive. it was peaceful.
they could add a bar fridge to the rooms and maybe Netflix, it starts from as little as R99 really.

Convenient location for walking to Bo Kaap and city centre. Secure hotel and parking. Neat little pool and grass area with some shelter from Suid Ooster wind. Good view of cityscape day and night.
Bedroom was below dining room so noise from chairs being dragged across floor from 0700 when breakfast starts. Suggested to staff could be fixed with felt furniture sliders, which they said they will look at.

I liked the area
The female receptionist was very condescending. She was not welcoming at all. She didn't even know that we were checking in. She was extremely surprised .When we asked her questions she had a negative tone and was very blunt. The room and bedding did not smell fresh at all .There was no face clothes in the bathroom. We were not even allowed to heat our own supper we had to give it to the male receptionist. The water did not get warm in the geyser so we had to shower in cold water. Myself and my partner sat in the smoking area and to my surprise we were constantly watched as if we were thieves .We were playing music on a very mellow level to help us relax because it has been a rather challenging week ,but we were told to put the soft music off . Furthermore , we were told that we had to talk soft because other guest are sleeping and it wasn't even late .Thereafter , the male receptionist advised us that we need to put the light off ,because the lights needs to be put off .We did not appreciate the hospitality at all , we literally felt as if we were in prison or even a juvenile academy . The receptionists were like prison wardens .The wifi did not pick up in the room.
We paid R790 for the night and did not get our value for our money. The treatment that we received was absolutely appalling.
This was the first time that we booked on booking.com and it was the worst experience ever . We often book on Lekkerslaap and never have we received the above mentioned service .I will definitely NEVER recommend this lodge to anyone .

The place was amazing, the garden very much therapeutic

It’s a small lodge located at the top of signal hill, amazing views of the city and Harbor from the breakfast area and lounges! Rooms are comfy tho rather small. Staff is super helpful!
The size of the rooms. But we were out and and about most of the time. You must Uber everywhere but it’s quick and very inexpensive by Uber to get pretty much anywhere in Cape Town!

Parking is an issue , somehow make more parking bays .

The Lodge is situated on a hill which allows for incredible views of both the Harbour and the mountain.
the room is snug(slightly small) but comfortable.
staff are friendly and welcoming.
The signal at the property is not good and the Wi-Fi is even worse. if you are on the bottom (4th)floor there is no signal or Wi-Fi (they did move me to the second floor to try and assist but Connected to the Wi-Fi I could not even download emails.
Parking is also a slight problem as well as the cost of the drinks and light meals they offer. you will pay R100 for a beer and a toasted sandwich (which was delicious but still a bit too pricey)

We spent a night at the Lodge which was cheap and cheerful thanks to a special last minute rate. The room was very small and basic but clean and comfortable. The view from the reception area over the City is exceptional but the room had no view. The multi story layout of the lodge is a bit odd. The WiFi was very slow and the TV channels very limited. The furnishings in the Lodge are very dated and it could do with an update. The area in which the Lodge is situated is becoming a victim of illegal sqauting which is very sad. Secure parking is a problem for the 16 rooms at the Lodge. The staff were very friendly.
Please do advise staff on personal hygiene especially in the hotter months.
