Excellent location and breakfast

Clean and spacious. Amazing breakfast and very accommodating staff.
4.3
Very clean hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The bed was a bit short for me (I'm 6 ft 2 in), but made it work. Bed was also very soft. Overall it was very good value for money and the location was great.
Only the bed, short and a bit soft

Position, breakfast, large rooms

This is a wonderful guest house - great sized rooms, access to the main hotel's fantastic breakfast and the geysir is literally, right across the street. Also, about 20 minutes from Guilfoss waterfall. Staff was super-nice.

Location was excellent, breakfast was excellent, room was basic but clean

We were drawn to the simplicity of the place, and despite its relatively small size, the room appeared more expansive thanks to the panoramic window that offered a view of the front lawn. The proximity to Stokkur was a major highlight for us, and we thoroughly enjoyed the delightful walk to the geysers. Upon our arrival, the receptionist warmly greeted us and efficiently provided instructions. It was evident that this hotel serves as a more affordable extension of the larger neighbouring hotel. The checkout process was straightforward, with a key drop-off in the basket by the reception. We appreciated the tea and coffee facilities in the lobby area, which we took advantage of. It was also delightful to sit outside the hotel and witness the eruption of Stokkur, especially after a day of exploring the surroundings. The breakfast, served at Hotel Geyser, was absolutely phenomenal, and the grand architecture of the larger hotel itself was truly impressive.
The outdoor area surrounding Litli appeared neglected, with the potted fir plants showing signs of drying out and cigarette butts littering the pots. Despite its stunning appearance, the lounge area was inaccessible during our stay as there was no staff present to attend to it.

Location was right next to the Geysir. Clean and cozy room.
Coffee and tea were complementary in the lobby for all guests.
Breakfast was outstanding.
Breakfast was in the neighbor hotel. It was amazing quality, but had to walk 5 minutes to get there through the street.
Location is right in the middle of the Golden Circle, but if you don’t want to eat in the only restaurant there, long drive will be needed to reach the next town/supermarket.
4.3
location close to the geysirs!
breakfast was great, but not served in this hotel. as weather is not always great on Iceland, it was not so comfortable to move between the locations.
4.3
We had the most amazing breakfast spread at the Geysir Restaurant! The Location is great
The bathrooms are modern and tasteful, but our shower floor did not have an adequate slope to the drain. This resulted in me using the footmat to dry the floor. And it was still soaked the next day.

We had an upgrade to hotel Geyser which was a top notch 4 star hotel! Never experienced such a luxueus hotel! The ambiance in that hotel is very good! Lot of attention to the details the interior.
I got to be honest, from the outside the appearance of the Litli Geysir Hotel is a quite shabby. Also directions to the hotel are not clear. We were a little bit surprised as it was not what we expected when we arrived. There was a letter on the door asking us to check in at the hotel next to it. I definitely cannot complain as we got a free upgrade to the hotel next to it so I never saw the inside of the Litli Geyser Hotel.

location is close to tourist attractions
there is nothing for the average layman to eat unless you enjoy dining at very fancy 5 star restaurants.

We were booked into Litli Geysir but were transferred to the Hotel Geysir upon arrival. It really is fabulous in terms of a destination hotel. Great architecture and a wonderful place to recoup. Location wise, couldn't be better - across the road is Geysir and a 5 min drive up the road to Gulfoss (or take the bus). Best burger I have ever eaten and the cocktails are worth a sample.
Shame no spa.

Who got upgraded to the hotel next door who we assume are part of the same complex. We believe it was because of the storm but we are unsure. It would be unfair to give an overview of Little Geysir hotel then, however the main hotel was 10/10!
The staff was brilliant, absolute fantastic breakfast and great dinner option (dinner was a bit expensive but very good). We also enjoyed the happy hour and the location is absolutely fantastic!! I would 100% recommend it for whoever want to visit this part of Iceland as it's the perfect spot to stay for the night!

The breakfast buffet was outstanding, everything you could have imagined, hot, cold and so comfy and cozy in the dining room. It was decorated for Christmas which gave it such a lovely ambiance.
Everything was absolutely perfect!

I actually stayed at the Geysir Hotel a sister property. This is a gorgeous hotel with a fine dining restaurant. Rooms were comfortable. Bathrooms were great and the staff took great care of me. I will retunr one day

We've got an upgrade to Hotel Geysir, this hotel was amazing. Best bed i've ever slept in.
Can't write anything about this hotel, beacause of the upgrade.
4.3
Cleanliness, good location and amazing breakfast.
4.3
Room was very simple, clean, comfortable bed. Location great for visiting the Geysirs across the street.
Onsite restaurant is closed. However, the (Big Geysir) hotel and restaurant next door offered a delicious breakfast and is a very nice location.
4.3
Very good breakfast.
No charm nor friendliness.
Minuscule room; I have had couchettes on trains with larger beds.
One dim ceiling light only so to read in bed I had to used my phone’s torch.
Bathroom required maintenance.
Shower door handle broken.
Basin sink light not working.
I realise that Iceland protects its environment and avoids unnecessary construction, but this hotel has acres of car parks and even a golf course so a reasonably sized room should have been possible.
4.3
Friendly staff, great location and nice room!
No dislikes
4.3
Nice location across the road from the geysers. Good base to see Gulfoss waterfall..
Good restaurant nearby and great breakfast at linked hotel next door.
We had to wait about 45 mins to check in with a group of about 10 other guests. We were there an hour after check in time and it appears the person on duty just locked up reception to do something else.
Fair enough, but we didn't get an apology for the delay which annoyed me a little.
Not much sound proofing between the rooms.
4.3
Our room for three was tiny and not fancy. Clean enough, but a bit tired. Would have been nice to have a electric kettle in the room. Breakfast next door at the main, very lovely hotel, was very good. Our stay was good. We saved money on the room, but got to be spoiled at breakfast at the more expensive main hotel.
Needs a kettle in the room.
4.3
spacious. clean. breakfast.
nothing
