Has everything we need, owner/staff very responsive and helpful. Reasonable price as Reykjavík is very expensive. Easy walk to Main Street. Close to bus stop where tours , taxi pick up.

This apartment offers tremendous value for the right customer. It is in a real apartment building where locals live. Quality building and beautiful apartment. I even saw a peek of the water from the smaller bedroom window. It is away from the noise of the main tourist streets but still very convenient. My travel companion stayed right in the middle of the tourist area and could barely sleep for all the noise. I booked this apartment so we could put the rental car in the garage. It was lass than 10 minutes to walk to the main tourist sites, and a fun food hall was only a five minute walk. The apartment exceeded my expectations. Nice big rooms and modern bathroom with a washer/dryer. The decor was modern without much in the way of art,but I really ended up loving it. This was the last of 10 accommodations for this trip and one of my favorites.
The process of getting into the unit was a nightmare for me. Granted, my friend and I had just driven 8 hours through ice and snow in what was an unexpected June blizzard (yes, apparently that can happen-half the country’s ring road was closed for days!). I got to the apartment building and retrieved the key but didn’t have enough information about how to get past the initial security door. I suddenly realized to my dismay that the owner had left no contact number so I had no way to contact him. Eventually one of the residents of the building came in and showed me. They were not nice about it (probably annoyed with tourists). Likewise, the door to the unit itself had somewhat confusing instructions. Everywhere else in Iceland we had to wiggle the door handle and so I misunderstood the directions and couldn’t get in. The whole process took over an hour!

A very nice, clean spacious apartment. A small grocery store was right around the corner. Close to a bus hub, which would make it easy to get to places. We were only there 1 1/2 days, and we were gone on an 11 hour excursion the second day, so we didn’t have time to explore the area more. We did walk to the Perlan museum which had many great exhibits and was very interesting in learning about all the natural wonders of Iceland!
Free WIFI,but no information on password. I had to spend 33 minutes on the phone (not cheap) with Bookings.com to try to get them to find the password as the owner did not answer his phone. I needed the internet to check in for our return flight. No instructions on how to work the TV, and the washer and dryer were both filled with laundry, so unusable for us! That was one of the reasons I booked this apartment in the first place, so that was disappointing. Owner was very nice but he needs to leave instructions for using internet and TV and also needs to make sure the washer and dryer are available to use. Thankfully the girl hired to clean the unit was able to show us how to get the keys and open and lock the door correctly.

Maravilloso piso, amplio, limpísimo, las camas muy cómodas, acogedor, con todo lo necesario, súper bien situado, a dos pasos de la calle comercial y a 15 minutos del Harpa. Thordu, el anfitrión, maravilloso, siempre dispuesto a ayudarnos y darnos indicaciones sobre qué ver o dónde encontrar las cosas. Además el apartamento incluye una plaza de garaje que allí es fundamental, amplia y fácilmente accesible. A dos pasos de sitios maravillosos donde comer a cualquier hora y de supermercados. Ni un ruido, muy bien para descansar. La ducha una gozada. Desde luego que si vas a Reykiavik lo recomiendo 100x100.

Great proximity to city centre. Underground parking was fantastic for visiting in January. Lovely and warm.
Maybe a bit more crockery as eating out is so expensive so catered at the apartment a few times.

Sehr gute Lage, nur eine Minute von der Fußgängerzone entfernt. Sehr guter Abstellplatz in der Tiefgarage.
Wohnung per Fahrstuhl erreichbar. Ausreichend Platz und gutes Bad mit Dusche, Waschmaschine mit Trockner.
Sehr gute Vorabinfos vom Vermieter zum finden der Wohnung und Stellplatz. Sofortige Rückmeldung auf Fragen.
Lediglich ein paar mehr Gläser und Müslischalen wären schön gewesen.

Very responsive staff, great location, nice living room. The apartment includes parking in the garage and they also let us keep our car there a few hours more than the check out time.
One toilet for 7 people was complicated, especially the day we had an early start for a tour.

Just a comment: a lot of info about how to access the appartment & enter the building were sent to us shortly after booking, months before our arrival. This is fine, however i forgot that i even received this information. I think a reminder should be sent a few days before travelling, including what to do before if we arrive after midnight (an email about that was sent a few hour before we arrive in Reykjavik but we were travelling and didn’t see it).

Location was perfect; the host was pleasant and welcoming; the apartment was clean and bright. .

The accommodation was incredibly clean and situated at the end of the apartment hallway which helped avoid any noise from foot traffic. The host was extremely helpful and communicative in the lead up to our stay, helping answer questions for our arrival and entrance. The apartment itself was lovely with everything a group of people would need (bathroom, kitchen, walking proximity to Central Reykjavik, etc.).
The only downside if you're with a group (we had 8 individuals) was there was only one key. As we had different excursions or sites we wanted to explore, this forced us to have to keep the key in the lockbox every time we departed the apartment. No major issue with this but was a slight annoyance since we had a car rental and needed the key to enter the garage parking space for the apartment.

Clear description how to collect the key from appartment provided via email with pictures. Great location with walk by to the main shopping street, church, concert hall, bars, restaurants etc. Underground parking is something we really appriciated. We loved this appartment.
Initial problem with internet connection. Neverthless upon our request to the host it was resolved within 12hours. Thank you very much.

the whole apartment is new and spacious, we have five people and each of us can enjoy with our space
they provide a lot of kitchenware with make cooking easier, and the supermarket is not far away

Very poor entry instructions - confusing - why gove a key and a FOB key and not explain that the key isnt required? Very frustrating to get such misleading instructions after travelling 4000 kms. Had to phone 4 times to clarify both the main entry and room process
No WIFI passcode available unless you phone for it. 1 only (Icelandic) channell on the TV- no English speaking channels. (missing CI module keeps coming up). Advertisement says there is Netflix but you have to use your own login and internet speed is too slow anyway

The free parking was amazing... Especially with all the snow/weather while I was there. Definitely the biggest perk and what made the price make more sense!
The apartment was very clean which was nice. The kitchen was well stocked as far as cooking utensils/pots, pans and small appliances you might need.
Finding the entrances was a bit tricky but not as difficult as others have made it out to be. 🙂
These aren't necessarily dislikes... Just personal preferences.
It was kind of... Cold. Not temperature wise but it felt kind of basic I guess. The couch was super uncomfortable...even just to sit on to read a book. I can't imagine sleeping on it. I could've made do though if there had been some sort of "comfort" item...a simple throw pillow or throw blanket would have been very welcome on those days that the weather kept me inside.
Also, a better towel set would have been great. What was there seemed very old and stiff and scratchy. I ended up buying my own.
Some shampoo/conditioner would have also been welcome...but there was body wash which was nice! ❤️
Lastly, the view is not the greatest. You can see a playground and lots of other apartments and a wee span of the ocean but that's about it.
Again, none of this is bad! Just my personal taste. ❤️

Since we are family of 8, we had struggles in using the bathroom since there is only 1 bathroom in the apartment.

Good size one bedroom apartment for a couple. Very clean and cosy. Kitchen was fully equipped, washer and dryer were new and easy to use. Location was within walking distance to city centre and therefore very convenient. Secured parking was provided in locked underground garage.
Although TV has streaming services like Netflix, the wifi was not able to cope; resulting in frequent start and stop during streaming.

Really impressed by the 3 bedroom apartment we stayed in and it was dven better than jn the photos. It was clean, spacious and airy and loved the style of the decor. Everything we needed was there, incl coffee machine, large American fridge/freezer (we were on a budget, so catered in a fair bit) and cooking facilities/utensils. There were loads of towels, which is always good plus tolietires such as handwash and shower gel. Having laundry facilities was helpful, esp the tumble dryer after a wet walk behind a waterfall!
The beds were very comfy.
The location was perfect just off the main Laugavegur street and near the Hlemmur Mathol food market.
We had 2 cars in our party, and the apt host organised an extra parking spot for us in the underground car park.
The host was helpful and replied to any questions quickly.
Would definitely recommend.

It took us a while to figure out how to get into the car park (the button to open the door isn't right at the entrance, but instead as you turn into the road down). But that was more us being dense!
