Lovely double aspect room which was quiet despite being above restaurant/bar area and road immediately adjacent. Shower was absolutely superb.
Breakfast did the job but I have to say that our meal the evening before (where we were joined by a large family group) was absolutely exceptional !
Made to feel very welcome, thank you.

Dinner was excellent, we were seated in the bar area which was very nice, but unfortunately we did have quite a vocal local holding court near us. Not the pub's fault, of course. Food was delicious. Breakfast was also very good, with lots of choice and a cooked selection. The coffee was a disappointment though, very weak. Fresh milk available for drinks in our room. Easy parking.
The room was a little chilly due to unseasonal weather, but not bad enough to ask for portable heating. Bathroom was clean but a little tired.

Beautiful historic property with charm
The food was exceptional and I’ve paid far more for food elsewhere that was nowhere near the quality - tasty, beautifully presented evening meals and possibly the very best breakfast I’ve ever had
The staff were without exception friendly attentive helpful and brilliant
No negative comments at all

Able to have nice evening meal on site

I was expecting something more oldy worldly inside in view of thatched roof and seeming older property. It was nice enough but not quite what I was expecting

A warn friendly welcome. Everthing you could want for breakfast and to order your choice for cooked the night before means no waste. A good selection of non cooked too. Also a good pub menu for lunch or evening. The room was light airy and spacious. A large bathroom with ample provisions, very clean cosy with an "olde worlde" feel. The pub had a lively feel at night run by very friendly staff.

Delightful family break between Christmas and New Year. Host and staff did everything possible to make us feel "At Home" Wonderful cooked breakfast to set us up for a day of exploring and a welcome return to a cosy bar, an open fire and a game of scrabble before a superb dinner.
Our rooms were warm and comfortable with plenty hot water. The little touches of luxury, (biscuits and toiletries) were a delightful surprise.

it was delightful. the new owners were excellent hosts and the food was exceptional both in quality and presentation
As people of a certain age! we struggled with the bath/shower

Situated in a beautiful little historic village surrounded by the stunning scenery that Exmoor has to offer this lovely little Inn did not disappoint.
We had a fantastic stay thanks to the excellent room along with really high standard meals(and beer). Jayne and Darren were welcoming superb hosts ensuring guests were well cared for. First class all round
Apart from the road diversion signs due to cutting trees down by the local authority pointing in confusing directions there are no negative comments to make

Beautiful location. Great real ale, delicious food and really comfortable accommodation.

the location is wonderful and the rooms are excellent. very clean
and comfortable. Delicious food, not cheap but excellent.
The breakfast was very good, I recommend the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs.
The only niggle was that the TV wouldn’t connect to Wifi on the second night. Worked fine on the first evening.

A quaint thatched property in a beautiful location and very central for the Exmoor national park. Friendly hosts who were very considerate to my mums disability. Breakfast was absolutely delicious!
Evening meals were again very delicious but small portions of vegetables and drinks expensive .

Very pleasant stay for a couple of nights, spacious room, comfy bed, decent dinner and breakfast. Lovely village location which is ideal to explore Exmoor from.
