The view was amazing, the room was very nice and also the pool was great. Loved the brown dog and the vintage cars.

The staff was friendly, the room was big and very classical (the all property was a very good jump back in time), nice views, and very quiet.
The bed wasn't comfortable, the water for the shower took ages to warm up, it was a waste of clean water and the breakfast could be better.

A superb location for a tranquil and placid stay! A beautiful Portuguese 16th century manor house overlooking the Tagus river valley...This was my second time there.

it was only upon our arrival that we had the lovely surprise to realise the hotel was once a convent. We had booked a basic room for AUD$85 including breakfast and arrived on a Monday night. We checked-in early and were upgraded to the one bedroom suite. The lovely staff walked us through Gorgeous antique filled rooms with original stonework and floorboards, we even stopped to admire a charming little chapel before arriving into our rooms. very comfortable double bed, bright and welcoming room. Hair dryer and vanities were provided, as well as a TV and small fridge in the lounge room. In the morning we had barista made fresh coffee and a very generous breakfast. We had been invited to dine in the restaurant the night before but there were not any vegetarian dishes available, so we kindly refused.
The fact that we only discovered the lovely walking trail at the back of the property on the day of our departure. We took the amazingly well trained hotel dog for a little walk down the growing wine yard .. and hopped into our car to leave earlier than we would have liked. A truely delightful stay.

Very beautiful historical place🙂
I would like to have dinner in hotel, which was not possible. 🍖

Very unique place to stay, it's like staying in a museum, yet with all comfort. Explore all the rooms. Location is beautiful yet very near to highway exit/entrance.
Understood that new owners were still reorganizing the place, so looking forward to go back again. Restaurant is only open on friday and saturday so couldn't really check it out.

Arrival experience was messy. I booked late so there was confusion over my reservation. I was then told "I thought I'd shut off reservations for the evening" - well that makes you feel welcome doesn't it. I wanted to pay but I think they felt guilty and wanted me to settle in - except I was then given a tour - I just wanted to get to my room! The bedroom was nice and quaint public rooms and lounges. Departure was a disaster. No one was at reception. There was a sign to phone but I had no reception! I waited a bit and called out. I then went around the farmhouse and stables calling - all in the pouring rain. I decided that since I'd booked a non refundable rate I could leave. A non -refundable rate means if you don't turn up they can charge your provided credit card. Having worked in hospitality and worked through booking.com for years it's easy to log in and get someone's card details and charge. Then the abuse started from the hotel. I contacted booking.com to get them to help the hotel. I phoned the hotel and left a message to call me for my credit card. They gave me their IBAN but it came up as invalid when I went to pay. The abuse continued. They said they'd phoned my 3 times but I didn't receive any calls. I kept asking for their correct IBAN which they then gave and it cost me to pay this way. Even days after my payment, the abuse continued. Nice enough place, away from everything but inefficient and nasty staff. They need to get their processes sorted too.
Staff. It was not just poor hospitality and making me feel unwelcome on arrival but a really nasty disposition.

Staff was super friendly and helpful! It's very beautiful and away from the city so it's perfect to relax. Good for family vacations or even if you're going alone.

The setting. The ambiance,
The old Quinta/farm architecture.
Large separate apt room with verandah.
Beautiful gardens and charming pockets throughout
the property.
Lovely scenic pool area ( needs more love)
Staff was very helpful, entertaining and kind.
Horse-riding on offer a bonus
(The owners classic car collection, a nice surprise!)
The photos do not resemble the property.
Needs TLC! As the hotel has been bought recently
there are various issues!
We were not placed in a room we reserved,
our bed was not comfortable, free-standing air-con
was noisy
A smell from plumbing coming from the bathroom
Breakfast could be so much more.

the location is nice. good to have the pool. the receptionist who welcomed us, was the only kind employee who tried to save the mess of the management of that place.
The property allows you to book and paying even if all their room are not available anymore. and indeed we got there and our room wasn’t available (same thing happened to other guests the night before). we were given the only chance to stay in a non refurbished room, which was indeed used the night before, the room almost had no lighting.
The property advertise the dinner at their restaurant-> which was closed; and a “wonderful breakfast”, we got there at 9.40am, there was almost nothing left, on our table we didn’t even have a cup and cutlery.
cherry on the top, on our way out one of the staff member, instead of excusing for the troubles, told us “well it was better for you to stay here than on the street”

The historical background that is everpresent transports us to another time. The property is located near Constância where one can find a decent offer of nice restaurants and a beautiful fluvial beach (appropriate footwear is needed due to the amount of stones in the water). It is also at a short car journey from Almourol Castle. Inês and Luis were very heplful and extremely nice.
The breakfast offer is very poor and on the second day, our group had to wait for half an hour for some cottage cheese that we requested and almost an hour for eggs and bacon and also pancakes. On this day, no sliced fuit was available and the orange juice finished without the care to refill. The coffeee machine was broken and there was no toaster available! I had better offer of breakfast in 2 star places and it is not to the standard of this property. The management changed a few months ago and there are many things that need to be improved. In both rooms 6 and 8, our group was bitten by mosquitoes which together with the noisy air con and uncomfortable matresses , did not quite achieve the level of rest that we needed during the night.

Beautiful boutique hotel in idyllic surroundings- public rooms exceptional and bedroom superb. Pool attractive. Guidance on where to eat and visit locally very helpful. The hotel and area made us wish we could have spent more time here.
Nothing springs to mind. The new bar facilities were still in progress - they look most attractive

The gardens
When i got there they rented my Room to another couple, which is terrible service. And they got me a Room outside the hotel building because the hotel was fully booked. The Room didn't have the same vibe and decor as the hotel ones in the old house and felt out of place. The bathroom had a huge problem with sewer flies, more then 60 just inside the toilet, was discusting.. and we had hornets inside the Room too, so i wanted to leave ASAP.
There were no available hotels near by so i had to return to Lisbon the on the same day, spending 80€ of gas and tolls, it was an experience to forget.
Also the employe was nice but too intrusive, asking my company if she wanted work at the dinner service which was a ridiculous question to ask a client that was paying to stay in the hotel.
The owner apologised and returned the Room money which the least he could do and also said we could use the pool the whole afternoon if we wanted, but i was already very sad and annoyed because of the hours traveling, so i left.
I still lost 80€ on expenses to get there which was not fair at all and made all the worst experience i ever had while on holidays.

it was an eccentric place overlooking beautiful country
there seemed to be very little management and training of staff. we were kept waiting to check in for over 15 mins and in the end we left and came back later. breakfast was late and very disorganised. the bread rolls were still frozen inside and no tea / coffee was offered. when asked tea was brought in a jug but no cup. the staff were nice but weren’t trained .

You just need to come and see yourself. Great place for a weekend or quiet family stay. place is an old convent!!! Basically old monastery refurbished in to sort of hotel, sort of god only know. Call it whatever suits you. Unique place with poor management(unfortunately). Worth to say once for an experience.
Unique and amazing place with poor management. Restaurant opened ONLY on Fridays and Saturday!!! Bar working god only know, whenever Carlos decide to be there 😅 No TV or coffee facilities in the room. Nearest town located 30min walk. Imagine to walk in 35 degree heats👍🏼 no food available during the week days. Basic continental breakfast.
P. S. do not take this as an complaint. Place is stunning, poorly managed, had huge potent.

The staf, Alberto and Javier, made our stay unforgettable. We had such a nice experience because of them. The surrounding, restaurant, bar and gardens are beautiful with a great ambiance. The restaurant was closed but Alberto made us a romantic dinner for 2 anyway, which was absolutely delicious. (Try the lomo!). Breakfast was perfect. When we had a request, they did everything to make our stay comfortable.
There were some little starting issues, Javier and Alberto just started working at Quinta, so for example the swimming pool wasn't clean. But at every remark they tried to fix it immediatelly which made our stay lovely anyway. We will definitally come back!

Quiet, unique and truly pleasant stay. The property is beautiful and very charming, feels very authentic. The pool area is perfect for sunny days, as it is sheltered, there is no wind and the pool is very refreshing. We had fun playing ping-pong, swimming in the pool and relaxing in our beautiful suite.
The breakfast was fantastic, fresh bread and fruit and they offer to make bacon and eggs as you wish. And freshly squeezed orange juice!
The service was great form check-in to check-out and in between when we needed help.

This B&B was an old convento, very historical and special. I love the old and classic interior there. The hosts were really kind. The breakfast and afternoon snack were delicious. I recommend this place. 👍👍
very clean, good breakfast, my vegan needs met, my room was gorgeous!
