Spacious room
No lift , creaky floor

A beautiful old building in a very pretty part of town, 10 minute walk from the station. Very good breakfast and good restaurant worth reserving for evening dinner. Very friendly staff. Comfy beds - but creaky
What you gain on historic beauty you of course lose on facilities. The shared bathroom was a long walk from the room, but the facilities themselves were good quality and clean. The old Swiss style electric sockets won’t fit uk/european plug adapters as they’re too bulky. So couldn’t charge phones etc

The staff were very helpful and even carried our luggage for us to the third floor on arrival and departure. On our floor there was facilities for free coffee and tea which was an added bonus.
Property is very old fashioned, no lifts and poor state of bathroom with some shower tiles having come off in room 303. The carpets are old and tired looking.

Easy to find and an easy walk from the train station. The place was spotlessly clean and very well maintained. Some nice touches in the room to make you feel welcome. Key-box system works seamlessly. The shared shower is modern, clean and easy to access and I had no issues at all. Breakfast was decent and adequate. I’d stay again for sure.

Beautiful dining experience with delicious food. Truly unique way to enjoy food and wine from Switzerland. The room was comfortable and quiet.

Altes Haus, sehr schöne Zimmer. Klein aber fein
Eher dünne wände, Das frühstück war etwas Trocken (1. Januar, da hat alles zu und muss am Tag davor besorgt werden)

Location was great, in the Old Town. Comfortable room and bed. Check in was easy even though no staff onsite. Recommended stay!

A charming building located in the centre of the town. Very quiet, clean and comfortable room. Adequate breakfast.

Great location, and very traditional outside and in dining area. Good breakfast. Rooms were clean but very basic
The restaurant was closed, and no staff on reception on arrival. We were notified in advance but it wasn’t clear at time of booking

They served breakfast early for us because we had a train to catch.
We had a triple room and a small double for our family. The small double was very small and the bathroom would have been impossible to use for someone elderly. It was a little tricky for me.

Traditional hotel located in old town, with friendly and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast.
We stayed in two rooms on different nights. The first, on the second floor, was small. The second, on the top floor, was larger and had wonderful views over the rooftops. Both bathrooms were tiny.

The cutest vintage hotel in an medieval part of this small city ~ staff was wonderful, room had a wonderful view, bed was very comfortable, room was small, but perfectly adequate for two people and two suitcases, plus two backpacks. Bathroom was small, but shower head was great. This is an older inn-style hotel, vintage, historical, and cute as pie. Be warned, there is no elevator! Be prepared to climb stairs- perfectly doable for able bodied people. Breakfast is included and runs till 10:30am. would stay here again most definitely.
There is a smoking lounge with a closed door as soon as you walk in the front lobby, but the smell of smoke permeates the entire front entrance. not a fan of cigarette smoke, but fortunately it doesn’t permeate the rest of the hotel. The lighting in the room was adequate, but not great. The window let’s in a lot of light.

Really cute place with a pretty dining room. They also have a guest lounge and you can order drinks. Good location. Okay breakfast.
Beds were very soft and the bathrooms could use updating.

Spacious room, nice view, good location
The wifi was shaky, but that might be because we were staying on the top floor in the furthest room

Location is fantastic- easy walking distance from the train (even with heavy luggage). Loved that we were in the heart of Old Town. Staff was kind and helpful. All meals were great.

Great location, excellent staff, clean property!
beds were a little uncomfortable, but not bad. Not a lot of variety for breakfast and not much for people with food allergies.

The hotel is really well located, right in the heart of the city center. The room has been recently renovated and it was pretty clean and very comfortable- the same goes for the bathroom. The breakfast was okay. All in all, it was very nice and the building itself is very interesting. It was a shame the restaurant was closed during my stay.
There is no elevator at the hotel- which is rightly advised on booking.com. However, we were traveling across seas and therefore we had a lot of heavy luggage. We ended up with a room on the highest floor and it was really really hard to put up all the luggage as well as to bring it down later, yet no one from the hotel offered to help with it, even after seeing us struggling a lot.
