Flott rom med smakfull innredning, lekkert bad, nydelig mat, utrolig serviceinnstilte og profesjonelle ansatte. Veldig hyggelig med et sted med historie!
Putene kunne vært noe mykere, ellers var det ingenting å utsette på.
4.3
Well designed single room, in the lovely building. Breakfast is special.
No adverse comments.

Beautiful old property
Felt tired and dated

Staff were extremely friendly, who went above and beyond! The room was clean and cosy, with a very comfortable bed. Food was outstanding, with a wide variety of choice on there menu. Very good room service and outstanding breakfast. One of the best hotels I've stayed in!
4.3
Atmospheric property with excellently appointed guest rooms and a good restaurant. Hotel and restaurant staff all wonderful.

Property is just amazing!
It was very grand and inviting.

The building is beautiful
The oldness means it’s a bit noisy

Room good and on level as requested. Parking very convenient. Restaurant pleasant outlook . Service prompt. Breakfast good with exception of toast and preserves.
Staff were exceptionally helpful and polite and were the best of what the hotel offered.
Walk in shower not available in ground floor room so bathing/ showering not possible. For the amount charged, toast which offered choices seemed limited to white or brown with no seeded bread and obviously shop bought. Jams and marmalade were the bought small pots one can purchase anywhere.
Wine was extremely expensive per glass. I class £13.00 a large glass extortionate.

The hotel is beautiful and just a short walk to the town. The staff were very friendly and helpful - nothing was too much for them. The room was spacious and very clean (almost bigger than my flat!) The breakfast is excellent too - make sure you book! Would highly recommend! Thanks for a wonderful stay :)
Only a very small thing - but mattress was a little hard, but that’s just a preference.
4.3
The location, easy parking, friendly and helpful staff, attractive building, room was spacious, good tea/coffee options in room. Nice toiletries in bathroom. Good shower.
Cooked breakfast was sparse. Tea tasted awful at breakfast, maybe the water? Tea was fine in room, no after taste from water. Ate once in the evening at the hotel but very disappointing and expensive. Also a carafe of wine was expensive £20, when we sat out on the terrace. A definite feeling of hotel being frugal at breakfast and dinner.
4.3
Lovely big room with a large very comfortable bed. The shower in the en-suite had a good strong flow and the water was hot and easy to control.
Our evening meal wasn’t at the standard we were expecting.
4.3
The staff were super friendly. The location is great with easy parking.
For the amount I paid for this stay - it didn't quite live up to the expectations. The location, building and staff were all great. Though the room definitely wasnt- the shower wasn't clean, there were some bugs in my bed I had to remove, and the bed linen wasn't ironed properly (visible burn marks!).
I also arrived on a Saturday night just before 10pm and the bar was already closed!
I had high hopes for breakfast to make up for the above. Even though the staff were friendly and attentive - the food was extremely bland with overcooked eggs.
I don't usually write reviews, but I booked this place as a treat after an intense few days at work, and looking back I wish I had booked somewhere else.

Excellent atmosphere in classic surroundings with a hint of modernity

we loved the room
we found our evening meal to be very bland and dry could of done with some gravy may be on the side.
My Tomahawk pork was very dry and my partners lamb was the same
we asked for a Bloody mary, which when arrived was basically a tomato juice and vodka. When asked for some tabasco and wourcester sauce and may be some celery, as a bloody Mary should be made, was told they do not have any ?
Our Breakfast on Saturday well i have never seen bacon so well done before in my life it was like crackling, the poached egg was over done with a hard yoke. Sunday the waitress gave our breakfast to the wrong table which caused us an hour wait in which we could have done with out as we had a 6 hour drive home.
The problems with this hotel seem to all stem from the kitchen

Great location
It ok
4.3
The location was really nice, the stuff were kind and helpful. The room was cosy and beautiful
Probably we would come back, but only if we can get a better price, as some of the things weren't so perfect for the price we paid for a night only.
Didn't had toilet brush which was a bit awkward.
The fruits from the granola breakfast were defrosted from the freezer instead of using fresh fruits, so they were awful at taste and texture...
Wanted to take a bath but the clogging button wasn't workind, the water went down instantly, and yes, I know how to use one, but this was was just for design, so I had to use a plastic bag to clogg it.

Very relaxed atmosphere in beautiful surroundings

Certainly we will come back,a big room, clean and in the castle and the free alc apple cider from local farm was verry tasty.
Nothing.
4.3
Spacious room but the reception staff really make this place - they are so lovely and helpful. Great breakfast.
Our dinner at the restaurant was a very unusual combination of flavours that did not appeal to me and there were huge delays between ordering and the meal arriving. I felt they must have been understaffed in the kitchen but there were plenty of waitstaff. Perhaps more classic dishes could be offered. Breakfast on the other hand was excellent.
4.3
Pleasant & comfortable with friendly helpful staff.

Hotel is in great location and in lovely grounds. Breakfast is cooked fresh to order and the coffee is a good standard. Staff are very helpful and professional.
No air conditioning in an expensive suite and the bath tub would not fill up due to a faulty plug. Small I know but when you pay a premium price you expect a certain standard.....
4.3
I like that breakfast was served and not a buffet, good location to walk into central Truro, nice outdoor spaces
being an old building adds to the character, but there seemed to be a noisy boiler unit going on from about 6 am to 9 pm probably nothing you can do about it and no big deal but if you can great, it did not deter from the excellent place that it is, would totally recommend it

Everything was fantastic, from location, staff, room 29, food etc. This place is old but full of character.
There was no fitness room, gym/pool.
4.3
Friendly, comfortable,smart.
4.3
Spacious, comfortable, refined room
Service of second courses at breakfast was slow. Delay in laundry turn around time - was in fact greater than promised 24 hour service.
