Great visit to Tauranga made even better by choosing to stay at the Devonport.

Lovely staff, exceptionally clean room with super comfortable beds. Great location in the middle of the town and walking distance to some lovely bars and restaurants. Hired a car in Auckland which was an EV which I had not driven before and the stress of recharging was taken away as the hotel has an EV charger in the carpark.

Nothing to add.

Comfortable and easy place to stay at, I would definitely stay again.

Good quality coffee, lovely big room, the heated towel rail worked, helpful pleasant staff, easy and safe access to the carpark and a great location for us. Also the television had the channels we wanted.

There wasn't anything I could fault.

Once you're there its great

It was a clean room, spacious bathroom. Great to have a toaster and microwave for food in the room.

It was such a pain to park. The road out front had roadworks and we couldn't get to the parks out front without moving a bunch of cones. The parking is around the back of the hotel and underground and because of external factors outside their control (roadworks) we had to do a massive loop to get back to the carpark. Also one of the power points in the room didn't work.

There is a lot of building going on next door with continuous noise from a building site. I think for that reason you should be upgrading everyone to harbour view

The staff i interacted with were very respectful, helpful and cheerful.

Was impossible to get parking nearby to check in. Next time i will know to arrange access to the parking garage before i arrive.

Last minute delight! Great staff who were awesome and especially helpful with all of our needs :)

We booked this hotel at 5am in the morning, because we were not satisfied with the apartment we had already booked and we were wide awake due to the inability to sleep → so we loved this property had Air Conditioning! The room and amenities were beyond our expectation - really comfortable beds! Great spa bath! Loved the view from our little deck, and we were really happy with the secure parking available. Lastly, we had a friend meet us for dinner and she ended up staying the night - the staff were awesome! They provided a single bed (not the old school roller / fold-up / trundler type of bed) that was very comfortable. The hotel charged a small fee, and gave her free carparking for the night. Thanks team!

There wasn't anything that we disliked about this hotel.

Great place to come to first my friends 60th. Such a shame when we tried to book directly only to be told it's a minimum 2 night stay. Booked via Booking.com and got 1 night no problem. You have to pay them commission which you wouldn't if you accepted our booking directly. Not great business management in my eyes

The hotel was very clean, comfortable with friendly staff. The location was great!

We only had breakfast in the room one morning as we were going out early. It was delivered on time and the right temperature. It was relatively basic, but was fine.

Fresh fruit would have been better with the continental breakfast

Staff were great and the room was lovely

There was a fire alarm set of from a function which we all had to evacuate out onto the road. The staff couldn't turn off the alarm even though there was no fire. It was quite inconvenient as we were outside on the street for around 30 minutes or more. There were people with children also so that was quite sad

The shower head was missing several of the little rubber nipples causing the water to go everywhere. it’s needs replacement.
