the reception double decker bus, the eccentric interior, the restaurant (although a bit cramped).
room 319 is not for people with health problems, (we both have back issues), there are stairs leading up to the room, which defeated the purpose of room service when we had to go downstairs to open the door! the mirrors are all oxidised, so look like they need replacing, I couldn’t use the dressing table mirror because of this. the bath was too high to get into comfortably, I’m 5ft 3” and I struggled. the wet room isn’t practical as it soaks the whole bathroom floor when used. too easy to slip and fall. the sink was not practical either. no door on the toilet/bathroom. the bed was far too soft including the pillows. the remote for the television had a cursor on the screen and it would test anyone’s patience. the ac unit is on a timer so not on long enough to cool the room down when needed. no basic items in the room; tea/coffee facilities, safe, fridge. it was an experience but for such a premium costing hotel it should have the basics in the room. we weren’t allowed to order breakfast to the room but could order room service from midday? we didn’t know why this was. the room we where in was quite cramped. my husband is 6ft 3” so it wasn’t comfortable. we did book a different room but where given the attic room,(I assumed because we checked in after 6pm?) the restaurant staff where lovely, the restaurant itself was cramped. when we finally got our breakfast it was lovely. (complimentary because they forgot to put our order in!)

Dinner and dinner service was great
Mouldy fabric. Smelt of weed and staff didn’t stop them from continuing to smoke it. Honestly don’t go there.

nice quiet location.
Wasn’t even spoken to at breakfast so felt uncomfortable. cob webs in the bathroom so didn’t get the feeling it was clean. Woke up for the toilet in the night but all the motion sensing lights came on waking my partner. couldn’t have a cup of tea as the milk portions were off and floating in the cup. Front gates got stuck so couldn’t get out.

I have booked a romantic day with my wife we tried several times to change date - the staff took several days to respond called left a message to ask for an update to change of date was showing as available when i selected the change date after 3 -5 days was informed unable to change ended up losing my money and not having a stay felt like my money was stolen by the hotel with no care for customer
NOTHING AS THE HOTEL STOLE MY MONEY AND WAS SO POOR IN RESPONDING JUST VERY UNHELPFUL. The hotel reservation team were so unhelpful and took so long to respond I tried to change dates and ended up losing the money i had paid as the hotel did not respond back for several days

Stylish bijoux room. Free glass of bubbly on arrival. Friendly staff. Complimentary hot drinks. Comfortable mattress and nice toiletries.
The room and bathroom was really cold. After trying to sort it out ourselves, we called reception. It was engaged for ages so my husband went to reception. It took a while to sort out. Unfortunately the bathroom underfloor heating never got working.
I had to wait half an hour for my eggs Benedict to arrive and then it came with ham rather as well as the salmon I ordered. At check out I noticed I was charged extra for this. I asked for hot milk for my coffee but this didn't arrive.

Food was excellant and service was good I had ribeye which was fantastic and the restaurant was lovely
My partner had pork belly again exceptional
We got upgraded to a suite with copper bath when we arrived so this was fantastic, but here the excitement ended,if I was paying for this room I would have been insulted, poor housekeeping ,cobwebs and dirty windows ,sink was blocked ,mirror was damaged and there was burn marks on the walls and a couple of small holes, lights round tv were not working properly either .
When we left I told reception who acted like this is our best room ,yes as you walk in it is amazing but when u look closely scrappy and in need of tlc so management obvs do not check in detail, very disapointing.

It’s a really nice place to spend some time, quirky, decadent, interesting, relaxing; a super nice vibe. I booked a Thai massage for my wife which she loved and a Thai meal which we really really enjoyed. The food, cocktails and breakfast and the service, in the main, was fabulous, especially the ladies in reception and the gentlemen in the Thai restaurant. The food and service in the latter was excellent and they made a special effort for our anniversary. We loved that. Thank you.
I don’t want to be critical, we’re not picky people and in all fairness we really enjoyed the experience. I booked a suite for our wedding anniversary and the look and the facilities were cool, on the surface BUT considering the cost which was getting on for £600 plus for the night (if you include all of it) it was hard to not feel a tad disappointed in respect to the room and coming away thinking it is overly expensive for what it is. Once you’d spent some time in the suite we were in, you see it’s pretty tired. Decor rough round the edges, the ‘feature’ bath tub was cracked and the water jets didn’t seem to work, the water flow for the sink in the bathroom was disrupted (twisted feed pipes) doors weren’t secure into the patio, window catches were loose, there wasn’t a lot of instruction for anything (fun figuring it out to be fair) I don’t think the reception line worked but the worse thing was it wasn’t clean. Checking under the bed before we left wasn’t something I’d wish to repeat! For the money you wouldn’t expect stuff like that. I’m sorry but you wouldn’t. I’d also mention, not that it was too much of a problem for us it’s important to say our suite like a few others I’d assume is not ‘attached’ to the main part of the complex it’s a short walk away in what was like a private cul-de-sac with public homes around it which means you couldn’t park there and the car park was a way away. So we had to drag our bags quite a way. Again not something you’d expect, but it is what it is.

I liked the way out ! best ….
the list is endless
the service was shocking im sure we were invisible
the cocktails weak expensive
the service charges they apply for awful service and food is a disgrace
the out doors was full of cigarette ends. and out door seating filthy with burn holes
this was a night supposed to be for my mini moon having got married a few days prior
what we spent coukd of took us away but as this crazy bear experience was always top of a bucket list we decided to do this
i wish id not wasted my money
the english restaurant what a joke
drinks too shes it was so warm in there no apparent air con seats all crammed together the waitress offered me a glass of water i accepted as it was that hot
only to find were charged for water !!!
the steak came out supposed to be the best cut it was like a rolled bit of brisket beef tasteless
no fries or tomatoe no salad no veg. unless you pay 7 pounds for each added item
dont get me wrong if it was of a good standard not a problem but it was similar standard to a weatherspoons !
totally ruined a night of my mini moon wasted around 1000 pounds with everything and then get offered a 100 pounds refund which i’m still waiting for ! … don’t bother booking we won’t again

It was quiet and different. I can't really think of anything else to write. The garden was nice i suppose.
The staff treated us with contempt especially in the restaurant area, the bedroom was not cleaned properly ( lots of hair coming out of the plug hole ) tiles chipping off the wall, hand prints everywhere on the mirrors ( when your paying £400 for one night its really not expected), there was a wedding party which wasn't told on booking so we couldn't go certain areas, breakfats we were shoved on a make shift table as the wedding party were eating together and " we wouldn't want you to feel uncomfortable ".
Honestly don't bother booking it is over priced and over hyped. The food was over cooked, dry and cold, service abysmal and squashed into a tiny restaurant, unless you are eating thai food.
