Upmarket experience in a budget hotel

I had low expectations for a budget hotel but Saint Georges felt smart and upmarket. We had a comfortable and pleasant stay, even with the whole family together in a family room.

The room was a bit of a squeeze with all four of us but we still fitted comfortably. The beds were good and it was immaculately clean.

Gute Lage - charmanter Altbau mit Tücken (Geräuschpegel)

Die Lage ist sehr gut (um den Stauffacher gibts viele Restaurants und Shops) und die Verbindung in die Stadt entweder zu Fuss 10 Minuten oder mit der Tram optimal. Das Hotel ist charmant mit sehr nettem Personal, die Zimmer sind super sauber.

Der charmante Altbau hat seine Tücken: Die Zimmer sind mit dünnen Gipswänden getrennt und man hört sehr, sehr viel von den Zimmernachbarn....Wer ausgeruht sein möchte, legt sich besser Ohrstöpsel zu.

1. The location is very good. The hotel is close to the city centre and is within walking distance from the main train station. 2. The breakfast is very good with lots of choices. 3. Very good hospitality and very professional staff.

We enjoyed the stay

The hotel was clean and comfy. We liked it. Great place to stay for the family and the location is quite near from city center. The hotel's staff was very helful.

Very good

Our room had a nice balcony overlooking a park, the room was bright with windows or french doors on two sides, giving good ventilation. The shared bath down the hall was immaculate. The breakfast selections and dining room were nice.

The pillows were too soft.

Cozy and nice stay in a great location, great breakfast

I loved this cozy and friendly place, it’s a very nice location (you could get a very expensive hotel in the city centre, but here in addition to a good price, you are also in an area where local normal people live). The breakfasts were amazing: the best croissants I had in Switzerland! Everything was clean and nice. I booked a room with bathroom and toilet shared on the floor, but honestly, it felt like it was only my own!

The room was bright and fresh and the window could be opened on a warm day.The shower and toilet were up the hall and spotlessly clean. The area was quiet but with restaurants nearby. I slept well with a comfortable bed and pillow.It was an easy walk from the central railway station.
