Everything. Very friendly welcome and lovely warm bedroom after a day’s cycling. They even let us bring in a couple of friends to join us for a takeaway supper. Collaven did not do evening meals so this was particular generous of them.
Nothing to dislike

The manor was exactly what we were looking for. It was quaint, comfortable and in a historic building rich in history that was well maintained. The grounds were beautiful. The breakfast was great; they took our order the night before and everything was wonderfully prepared and presented. The hosts thought of details we didn't find at other accommodations, such as washcloths and tissues in our room. Jakes tried to find us a restaurant when we arrived late, although nothing was opened. He suggested a nearby gas station/store which had everything we needed for your dinner.
No restaurants nearby, but there was a wonderful gas station/store nearby and we were able to make our own salads from the produce in the store.
4.5
The house and grounds were wonderful. Our room was comfortable and serviced daily to a very high standard. Breakfast was exceptional with plenty of choice. Jakes and Jane thoroughly spoiled us throughout our stay, and nothing was too much trouble.
There was a limited amount of parking but other than that we could not fault the whole experience. No evening meals were available, which for some may not work, but we enjoyed the whole experience by trying out some of the recommended local hostelries (all within 3 or 4 miles) and they more than met our expectations with good food, drinks and friendly/ welcoming service.

Breakfast was delicious. We were able to request what we would like. The rooms were beautiful. Loved the teapot and cups and saucers in each room. The beds were very comfortable. The building itself was lovely, well cared for and charming.

Lovely house in a beautiful location. Welcoming and very friendly 'staff' who went out of their way to facilitate an excellent stay. Excellent breakfast. The wifi was a little weak but functional, understandably perhaps in such an ancient and stone built property

An oasis of calm in Devon . The owner and my South African host gave me a wonderful welcome. Check in was efficient and friendly . Room was well appointed. Awesome rain shower. And bath tub. Beautiful location with some outstanding restaurants nearby. Breakfast was definitely the highlight of my stay. I will return.
Nothing.
