Lovely small accommodation, in great location

Location

All fine, except we unintentionally left a couple of items and let the hotel know. Unfortunately the hotel never got back to us.

Perfect location, great property, would definitely use again

The room was fresh, clean and very well equipped, short of nothing. The bed was extremely comfy. Location was perfect and provided a great base to use for exploring the area.

Comfortable but no real facilities

Beautifully appointed rooms with everything you could want

Car park entrance is treacherous for any vehicle of size! This should be pre warned. There are low ceilings in the bathroom (room 1) no warning and at 6’’4 you will be reminded. The attached hotel IS NOT serving any food

Had a fab stay

I stayed in Tate house a good few years ago n had the whole top floor, which was very comfortable. I remembered Leo having it on his own then, n he made us feel very welcome. Bondgate boutique is also owned by Leo n charlotte. It is just across the road. This is why we tried It and we were not disappointed. The location was fab. Cleanliness was top quality. The ease of check-in n out was also great. Also, free parking abs spot on. Even though it was a tight lane. Definitely recommend both b&b's. I will defo be back again. Maybe not leaving as long next time.

I can't really say there was anything. Just some feedback, really. It would have been great if their had been a top flat sheet on the bed. As it was 22 degrees when we stayed. So, I had to take the quilt out of the quilt cover to rest the cover over us thru the night. As it was far too hot each night to have the quilt on the bed. I spoke to the cleaners to ask if they did just a top sheet, n she said, unfortunately, not. She also told me that the other room opposite did exactly the same. This would maybe be beneficial in the future.

I would happily stay in this location again, I recommend it.

This property was very clean and lovely. The response by the owner was prompt and courteous when I didn't understand how to use the heating system. Thank you.

The modem for the Wifi is located directly behind the head of my bed just on the other side of the wall, it would be safer located elsewhere.

The damp smell in the bedroom ,the constant messages from the owners regarding the house rules etc Impersonal service, there were no staff in the building TV remote not working properly, possibly needed new batteries

Comfortable room in convenient position

Clean comfortable room near centre of Alnwick within easy walking distance of town, castle and Barter Bookshop (good for breakfast). Parking available in The Plough’s car park next door

Not a problem but guests should be aware when booking there are no staff, shared facilities or breakfast on site.

Very easy access arrangements; good provision of toiletries and tea/coffee facilities. Decent sized towels!

Could do with a firmer mattress - and the bathroom door handle needs an oil!

Great value for money would def stay again

Excellent location, many extras, tea coffee sugar peppermints, toffees, biscuits, shampoo conditioner, tissues. All over and above what many places provide. Bed super comfy , loved the little outside decking area ,

Plumbing was a little dubious, I’m not keen on the macerator toilets, sink made a lot of gurgling noises, as in so many places batteries were an issue, tv remote needed new ones and very useful magnifying mirror which was meant to light up but no batteries at all,

Good location not very boutique

Great location for walking to the castle and gardens. Barter books great for breakfast and pick up the odd book or two. Plenty of places to eat. Plenty of tea making stuff and fresh milk in the fridge downstairs.

Bed very very springy, sit on the bed on one side and bounce off the other. Could hear all the springs pinging. No sheet on the bed they were using a mattress protector as sheet. Shower was rubbish and dirty. Shower head has not been cleaned in months. Around the base of the door black mould. Had to get in sideways narrow opening and I'm not large. Door latch loose and couldn't dead lock it. One of the ceiling lights was coming down. A fan that blows cold air would be nice. It was only 14 degrees outside and far too stuffy and warm inside.

Lovely hotel in excellent position

Quality of fittings. Proximity to the town.

The chamber maid only made the beds up on one day out of three. The toilet was noisy. We were only supplied with biscuits in one of the two rooms despite a request being made. Would have been nice to see some staff.

Brilliant room! All you could have asked for.

The room was very clean, cosy and warm. It was nice to have the extra touches in the room, ie the tray of refreshments and also to have fresh milk outside the door. The room was very central for all amenities in Alnwick.

It would of been nice to have had thinner quilt as it was to warm for the time of year.

Restful, luxurious and easy

Luxurious room, bedding, towels etc, good attention to detail and thoughtful hosts. Location is perfect for exploring Alnwick and free parking makes everything easier! We really liked the check in process, so easy.

Better soundproofing, but it's a beautiful old building so we appreciate there are limitations.

Great Room in great location for stay in Alnwick

Really Lovely location and a nice room with plenty of room and storage with bathroom. Very Clean and warm. Not a lot of road noise and with blackout curtains a very good nights sleep. Quality bed and bedding. Good tea and coffee tray. tv ok.

Superb

Bondgate boutique is in the centre of Alnwick and very close to the castle and gardens. We had a lovely room on the front.everything we needed and lots of little extras. Would definitely recommend.

We liked it all.no complaints.
