The resort was in a lovely location, with excellent staff and a very good restaurant and good facilities. Overall we had a wonderful relaxing stay.
The room had a couple of small maintenance issues (although the room itself was very nice).

Le Meridien was in an amazing location. I felt like I was in a movie somewhere between James Bond and Castaway. Saturday night's buffet was particularly good.
I would have loved some Melanesian cultural entertainment on the Saturday night.

Everything! The food, environment, the people- all facilities- it was amazing
The swimming pool could be a few degrees warmer

Location, beautiful view. Close to the Natural Pond. Some of the staffs are really friendly. Two of the staffs brought the birthday cake to our room and sang the birthday song in French to my boy.
Lack of food choice. Some of the staffs are not friendly.

The location is amazing, the grounds are beautiful and well-maintained and there is a lovely pool overlooking the beautiful bay. The food was great and the staff were lovely and attentive.

Le Meridien is beautifully located, with a gorgeous lagoon, white sand and close to the Naturelle Piscine, one of the Ile des Pins' natural wonders. It is a great resort, with large comfy beds and a feeling of luxury. We spent five nights here as a family of four and relaxed completely.
Service was a bit hit and miss, the DVD library appeared to only have French DVDs (even English language films) and there were no streaming services.

The natural reef is stunning! Definitely worth the cost to visit this beautiful island.
The hammocks were very relaxing
Slightly unclear directions given to get to the natural pool. But once you've been there once, easy to find your way back again

It was a bit chilly when we were there at the end of July, so no one was using the pool. It really could have done to have been slightly heated. The resort itself is getting a little old but it is in a stunning location with beautiful views of the beach. The food in the restaurant was generally very good although we ordered the crayfish one night and it was very over-done, but we didn't complain. Overall a lovely place to stay in a stunning location. The rooms were well sized but the bathrooms definitely needed updating.
Not sure if they were under-staffed but the restaurant service was a bit sketchy. It was obvious the staff were trying their best though. Ou room was very large but the bathrooms in particular need modernising. It didn't detract from our stay but is just an observation.

It is beautiful. The staff are amazing. It is expensive. But one of the best stays I have ever had. Even being rained out, unfortunately.
The fan in the bathroom could work a bit better. But nothing specifically

The staff were Incredible! The location was breathtaking, so it is safe to say we had the most beautiful time. And we would highly recommend it.

The location is superb. This is one of the prime spots on the Isle of Pines and Oro Bay is directly outside. The Piscine Naturelle d’Oro is only a few minutes drive away. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. It was easy to rent a car and organise activities. The food was generally good (see below for an exception to this). It's really the only resort type place on the Isle of Pines.
While the location and staff are both faultless, the property itself could do with some refurbishment. It is pleasant enough, but does feel a bit tired in places. As mentioned the food was generally good - specifically lunch and dinner at La Pirogue. A little overpriced and I wouldn't call it exceptional, but tasty enough. Breakfast wasn't as impressive. The biggest complaint would be the ants in the room. It's a tropical island and I understand that ants do make an appearance, but I feel more could have been done in terms of housekeeping to minimise the numbers, especially given this hotel is a Meridien/Marriot.

It was a lovely tranquil resort, rooms were idyllic and had the most comfy beds. There was a big selection for breakfast which we ate lots of and then only had dinner in the evening. The pool was lovely but was cold. We ate at the restaurant and also at the snack bar and had burgers. The beef burgers are delicious.
The bathrooms in the rooms need updating, we had problems with sewerage in our three units that we had booked. It was smelly. We did talk to the manager about this and it was sorted while we were there.

The hotel is situated in the most beautiful part of the island! Oro Bay is just magical!

Breathtaking location situated in the heart of Ora Bay. It is so beautiful and peaceful.
Fantastic snorkelling at the natural pool which is 20-30 min pleasant walk from the resort.
Staff are very friendly and mostly helpful.
Lovely room and comfortable bed.
A special welcome with flowers on our bed and bubbly with our meal for our wedding anniversary.
Sometimes communication from the staff was a bit casual

Beautiful setting, well organised arrival/check in process, plenty of activities to do (both free and excursion-type activities), wonderful friendly staff, and a good restaurant with a diverse range of nice food. The Piscine Naturelle and Pirogue trip on Upi Bay were beautiful experiences.
Prices are fairly high, but this is basically par for the course in New Caledonia. In fact, given the need to transport goods from the main island, and the fact that the quality of the food at Le Méridien was probably the best we encountered at any resort restaurant in New Caledonia, this is probably not too much of a negative. Just be prepared for a meal to cost $40+AUD.

restaurant menu lacked options for vegetarian/vegan - very small portions!!

Room was exceptional. Staff all over, and there was a lot, were amazingly welcoming, making sure all our needs were met. Everything was perfect. We will go back there. Thumbs up !
Expect for the price, where everything in New Caledonia in general is very expensive, nothing really. Everything was perfect!
