piscine = très bien

Beautiful manicured property complex and lovely unit overlooking the golf course but only being there one night and having to leave early next morning was unfortunate to not be able to utilise the activities available- swimming pool etc
A long way to the unit but was useful having access to the carts for transfers to and from the hotel complex. Would prefer to have an a la carte menu as we don’t like buffet eating

I travelled with my finance and family, and this Sheraton didn't disappoint. The beauty of this Sheraton is a combination of the uniqueness of the property, the lovely fresh food on offer and the staff. Everyone was incredibly kind and helped us along with our attempt at using French, the breakfast buffet was fantastic and the lunch by the beach was fantastic. The golf course is long and difficult but the more you play it the more you enjoy it. The facilities are a bit tired but nothing that will impede on your beautiful stay, can't wait to come back!
The wine was very expensive but I believe a lot of it is imported in from France, the facilities were slightly jaded and it was a bit difficult to get room service sometimes but the resort did their best with the staff they had

A beautiful site, in the middle of a nature reserve with lots of birds. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, without exception. Speaking French is clearly an advantage. The hotel is very luxurious for New Caledonia, but you should expect a different standard than usual for a 5-star hotel. It is true that the prices in the restaurants are high, but that's not unusual (food and drinks are also expensive in Noumea).
The only thing that bothered us was that after a rainy and stormy night, the pool wasn't cleaned, although there would have been more than enough time in the morning. So the pool remained full of leaves and also the temperature was always very cool.

Well worth upgrading to a bungalow - definitely a 'wow' on arrival. Beautiful impressive buildings.
Details like no teaspoons, plates or knives in the room. Only one towel each per day. The pool isn't easy to get in and out of.

Nothing

The bungalow was comfortable and well-appointed.
Some of the beach loungers were old and should have been replaced or repaired. Also, some of the furnishings were tired, and there was no resort information in the rooms and very little online, such as restaurant menus.

What a gem! Surrounded by nature and walking trails. Will definitely be back!!
Restaurant a bit pricey.

Overall facilities are nice and food at the restaurant is very good and varied.
The chef was happy to accommodate for some special food requirements we had.
Direct access to beach and water, beautiful surroundings for hikes.
Good golf facilities, if you are into that.
The beach and water are nice but average by New Caledonia standards.
The resort is in a remote part of the island; unless you really value the golf facilities, you may want to consider other options for the price.

The peace and quiet. Very relaxing and able to unwind from a hectic schedule.

The resort is beautiful - rooms are big, with high quality furnishings and facilities. Beds were very comfortable. We loved the bar area that looks out over the pool, and the performances by musicians and dancers over the weekend. The pool area is beautiful, with towels provided.
The dining area is also stunning, with a deck that looks out over the beach. The rest of the grounds are beautiful, with lush vegetation, traditional huts and lots of birds. The buffets were extensive, with a wide range of food.
Kayaks and paddle boards are available free of charge to use. We took a double kayak out to the reef, where we snorkelled. There are also games available - chess, pétanque, and some electronic games. We hiked up the hill just behind the resort, which is part of an extensive mountain bike track network. There is a shack nearby where you can hire mountain bikes. Although far from Noumea (2.5 hours), the resort and nearby town (Bourail) had everything we needed.
We loved the peace and quiet of this area, away from the tourist (& traffic) craziness in Noumea. When we sat on our balcony we only heard the sound of the ocean and birds. Was great also to see wild deer at night when driving to and from the resort.
Staff were very friendly and helpful, and are able to speak English and French. Buggies are available 24/7 to get you to and from your room.
The food is expensive. We ate mostly buffet breakfasts and dinners, with the occasional food at the beach restaurant and the bar. Food was great, but the prices are a bit exorbitant.
Our rooms don't have any cooking /microwave facilities so you can't cook for yourself.
Not related to the resort, but if you hire a car, the drive to and from the airport/Noumea is not pleasant..The roads in New Caledonia seem to have been designed by drunk engineers. Roads are mostly single lane and make lots of turns leading to dangerous overtaking by locals. There is also no street lights outside Noumea which makes driving at night quite perilous.
Note also that most activities in the area need to be booked in advance. We turned up at Poe beach nearby only to find all the places that rent equipment to be closed.
