Yvonne made us very welcome. The room (no.1) was spacious and very comfortable….we didn’t hear much traffic noise.
Also, the bathroom was very modern and spacious
( only very minor, but hopefully constructive comments:)
1) the bathroom door needs some planing/adjustment at the bottom,in order to close properly
2) the shower plug hole needs a deep clean
3) the jacket potato offering in the bar would be more appetising if accompanied by a side salad ( even if the price adjusted upwards)

Lovely host and very clean hotel. Comfy large beds and amazing bathroom - would definitely stay again! Was there for a wedding at Mapperton which was a great location, really close.
The cooked breakfasts weren’t great but the homemade bread made up for it :)

The lady owner was sociable, bedding and room clean.
Some areas in and around the the hotel needed some TLC. Disappointed with restaurant on how food was displayed and cooked.

Nothing at all
We liked nothing. The outside was scfuffy and looked deserted. The door was locked and nobody answered the bell. We tried to call but, after three attempts, a woman answered who appeared either asleep or drunk. We could make no sense of her and letf. They have tried to charge us for a no-show (for more than the agreed room rate!) which we are trying to fight. KEEP AWAY!

The room was lovely and the breakfast was fine. The gluten free evening meal choice was restricted but my gluten free requirements were well catered for.
A choice of gluten free evening meal would have been an improvement.

Clean, new-decor, beautifully appointed room, with very comfortable bed and a rainshower in bathroom.
Absolutely DELICIOUS and super-generous home cooked breakfast, with freshly home made wholemeal bread (hand- sliced for toast) and home made blackberry and apple jam.
Strange way of getting into the property to check in. Very friendly hostess, but she had to unlock the door to the pub (that was dark from the outside and appeared closed to the public) to let us in to check in. Then the walk across the car park in the dark and up the metal steps to the room had a strangely motel feel.
In fairness, there WAS a crackling fire in the pub, which I was told was open for drinks to residents only (bar open to us).
I think it seemed a bit strange because we hadn't cottoned on to its functioning purely as a B&B and not as a local pub (though it had done in the past).
HOWEVER... As soon as we stepped into our lovely, modern, comfortable room and as soon as we'd had our FABULOUS home made breakfast and chatted to our LOVELY hostess, we became absolute converts and advocates.
I would definitely stay here again and will recommend to others.

It was OK freshly cooked to order

The owners are brilliant, lovely cosy warm feel, attention to detail with a log fireplace in the bar.
The authenticity of this hotel oozes the moment you walk through the door. You know you’re in the countryside when you stay at this place, although not secluded it gives you a real serine feel.
Nothing, no complaints whatsoever.

good location for wedding
the bed was uncomfortable. Breakfast was dreadful and dreadful service. only one staff member serving tables, she was sweating and we thought she would sweat into our breakfast
4.1
Excellent breakfast. Beautifully cooked but limited dinner menu. Hotel ideally situated for my needs.
No mention on the web site that the access to guest rooms is via an exterior staircase. Could be a problem in the pouring rain for elderly people, like myself, with limited mobility.

Lovely short stay at the Parrett Hotel! Well equipped bedroom up the stairs, with a large en-suite shower room. Breakfast was a massive home cooked full English - well worth the short wait! Plus a lovely continental selection including little pastries which we couldn’t resist! Could not have wished for anything more.

Breakfast was great, room and bathroom were large and comfortable, but it is not a hotel and they should really advertise as a B and B.
The common areas were dirty and dreary and not welcoming.

Great welcome. Very pleasant friendly owner/staff.
