Room had luxe vibes and comfy. They also give you a super comfy robe! Walking distance to restaurants in town.
Bit overpriced and lack of parking

I have nothing positive to say
I booked two months in advance and specifically asked not to be placed on the road side. My last stay there was horrendous due to excessive road noise all night (I complained then too) I was placed back in the exact room. The suite does not have a bath or leather furniture (as talked up in the booking info) it’s dark and dingy with poor lighting particularly in the bathroom (no decent light to apply makeup). Concierge couldn’t have cared less. Staff were completely checked out, disinterested and unhelpful through out. I cash in annual leave from a stressful job, drive 4 hours to relax and unwind… you stole that from me! Worse, you added to my stress and exhaustion and made me pay you to do so. I will never be back!

Rooms were spacious and clean and location was great.
Tv was pretty old school... I would of thought it would have smart tvs with Netflix etc that would of been great for a relaxing night in. Also there was no shampoo or bodywash in the bottles in the shower.. luckily I brought my own...

The staff was exceedingly friendly and made us very feel much at home, to the extent that we wish we could have stayed longer. The complimentary room upgrade was amazingly. I highly recommend if you have a family to take advantage of their 3 bedroom suite!!
Nothing, our experience could not have been better. Thankful for their awesome hospitality. Will most certainly visit again!

The big room but it was quite pricey.
As we have done each time we stay we went to the bar after we had been out. There was no-one for ages. When the person came we asked for a cocktail which seemed in the too hard basket so had to settle for wines instead. The staff pretty much made us take these up to our rooms. When Gretchen was there we would sit at the bar and chat to her. Nothing was too much bother. The cookies in our room were in a brown paper bag - the oil from the cookies stained it.

perfect location to restaurants and bars and shops
nothing

The 2-bedroom suite is spacious and has 2 bathrooms. the hotel has a heated pool and towels are provided. the location is quite nice, close to the Main Street with many restaurants.
the staff told me they need to charge 50NZD deposit in case of minibar use. when I checked out I asked if the deposit can be used to deduct the balance and was told they’d cancel it by the end of the day.
the breakfast is quite pricy given the selection. the continental buffet breakfast is 26 NZD but only offers some bread, yogurt and coffee, tea. if you want eggs, you have to upgrade to full breakfast which is 33 NZD. flat white is extra 5 NZD. this was by far the most expensive breakfast I had in New Zealand. My advice is to stay away from the buffet breakfast and order from the a la carte menu.

The room was exceptionally well presented, and very comfortable, with lots of extras in the bathroom.
The heated swimming pool was delightful even in the rain. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The place was beautiful

Convenient Location.
Unlimited towels. Accommodated to sleeping arrangements and extra pillows and towels etc when needed.
Called to check in on check in.
Easy Parking.
Noise free.
Provided tea, coffee and milk in room.
Provided hair dryer and good bathroom condiments.
Shower was very decent size. Anti fog mirror is a good function.
Bad Wifi (was informed it was not comparable with Apple products, which is silly because majority of people use Apple, however also didn’t work with Samsung).
Breaky buffet didn’t have to much variety. However al a cart menu was reasonably priced and Delish. Juice and Tea however at the restaurant was over priced.
No toaster in room, would be more convenient then a microwave.
Bath was not clean.
Windows do not seam to open.
4.1
Really liked the space of our suite the cleanliness and design/decor.
Only one thing we didn't like was the toilet needs an extractor fan as the window does not open - totally need this for when someone has a number 2.
