Very disappointed with the attitude of the staff they didn't offer us any compensation

In the literature we read it said breakfast was included in the room rate. It wasnot. We tried the dinner it was expensive and the portions were small.

One night stay

The staff were lovely, nothing was too much The room was clean and tidy , the beds were really comfortable so had a good night sleep. The hotel is on the sea front so not far to go to beach and shops. The hotel had free parking which is always good, would definitely stay again The food in the pub was also lovely and you didn't have to wait long after ordering so thank you to the chef 😁

Perfect stay

Great value for money, especially with the free parking! Will definitely return.

The location, and the room was lovely, very spacious and comfortable, everything we needed, great view overlooking the sea. Great to have free parking, and the staff were friendly and helpful.

First impressions of the building was it needed a lick of paint. The shower in the bathroom definitely needs updating. Outside of our bedroom window was full of rubbish.

One night at the Old Colonial

Staff lovely and helpful. Room was huge. Bed large and comfortable. Bathroom was spacious and shower was lovely. Fan provided was very quiet. Our windows overlooked the roof and could hear the generator overnight coming on and off but it wasn't noisy.

No proper plugs at the sides of the bed to charge phone, bedside lamps plugs were like shaver plugs and the lamps were huge and bright - felt unnecessary with the wall lights aswell. TV felt very unsturdy on it's wall attachment. Red mould on the shower head. Cleaner really noisy at 7.30 in the morning, sounded like they were moving furniture. The door between reception and the bar and the side entrance between bar and car park were unlocked/locked at random inconsistent times. Responses to emails were more than 24hrs later and some after I had already checked out. Outside of building could do with a bit of love.

would only stay again if the same lady was working who was great with my son.

on the sea front

ran down cobwebs every where, one of the bed side lamps didn't work, the bathroom had old very old dirt all on the tiles and the soap dispenser, no top to the cold tap, carpet was covered in bits.

A clean, friendly, comfortable stay in a great location

Location was excellent right on the seafront and free carparking was welcome. The room was clean and comfortable and very spacious with a sea view (family room #3) There was a decent shower and deep bath and hot water was plentiful.

The hypnos beds are lovely and soft but too soft for my back so I shifted onto the single bed which was much firmer. Can't complain about anything else

The location and friendliness of staff.

My partner got food poisoning from eating in the restaurant. There was old food under one of the kids beds and there was what looked like dried sick over the chair by the dressing table.

Happy hotel

It's was a lovely atmosphere. The staff were lovely and the food was excellent. The service was great and we will definitely go to stay again.

There was nothing to complain about. Luvly building and very well set out. Really felt comfortable in there with the locals.

Exceptional

Amazing week with my daughter, staff was helpful and friendly and the location was great. We'll worth what we paid for 6 nights amazing breakfast was delicious.

Location was good and the food was nice.

The bar smelt when you walked in. The room was clean but old and tired The bed was comfortable The bathroom definitely needed updating, the water trickled out of the shower and the grime around the taps was disgusting!

Location. Easy parking. Hotel facilities were ok.

Reception could of been friendlier. Couldn't even book in 5 minutes early was basically told to go away. Food in the restaurant was poor.

great location, big family room and beds comfy.

nowhere to get a drink on a night time as everything was shut by 10pm.. also loud noises in bathroom when ran taps, and shower leaked
