We enjoyed our stay here and are looking forward to upcoming developments relating to the history of the place. Lovely bath, bathroom and white fluffy towels. Comfortable bed. Easy parking option. (Five pound. ) Staff keen to help and turn their hand to any task on a busy night. Generous sized rooms.

Good location for the city.
Quiet at night.
Staff very helpful and friendly.
4.0
Proximity to the Quay and city centre
Initial room was in a very poor state of repair, no WiFi , noisy and no air con. The curtains were ripped and the shower control didn't work. Receptionist very helpful and we moved rooms.

The outside is nice
The room was very dark, the towel rail was very unstable!Only two teabags!Bath had hair in the plug hole. The staff cleaner woke me up at 530am, not a good sleep, lots of people up and down stairs. bar was closed by the time I got there at 1030pm, no options for snacks.
4.0
Location and character.
Staff seemed a little distant.

Location and appearance
Quality of real ale and service in restaurant. Waited over 1 hr for 4 mains on a not very busy Monday teatime, one had to go back, fish was inedible. Female manager’s attitude was very poor, snippy when spoken to and rude. Another table left the whole of their meal, so we weren’t alone!!

Breakfast fine
Convenient location
Helpful receptionist when I arrived
Bar shut at 10pm - very irritating

Location was great. Parking was really good value.
Room was not as clean as it should have been. Could do with refurbishment. The window was single glazed so lots of noise from outside and dripping with condensation in the morning!

Breakfast was nice tuna jacket potato and Rocky Road Sundae were good and recommend, drinks were pleasant.
Staff/Cleaning staff not up to a certain calibre and standard that should be expected compared to the majority of pub/hotels.

The Breakfast Coffee !! Proper filter coffee for self serve and replenished regularly (So nice to not have to battle with a machine serving everything but real coffee !

Great Location, Car Parking on site, Pub within complex serving great Beer and good quality food
Staff extremely Polite helpful and attentive,
Although the accommodation is a little dated it is clean and well maintained and room temperature was acceptable
Breakfast ! Although reasonably priced the Continental lacked Orange Juice, Apple Juice, Also a lack of prepared fresh fruit (Oranges apples and Banana's were available ) Possibly just us being used to having bowls of fruit ready to eat !
No Yoghurts (Although this was available pre prepared from the kitchen we found on the last day)
Add the lack of Omelettes (Although listed on the menu) did reduce the cooked options although the cooked food really was excellent just a little lacking in choice.

Absolute bargain! Very friendly, easy check in. Good availablility in secure car park. OK the hotel is a little dated but if you want posh then pay posh! Room was clean, bed comfy, heating on (a bit too hot for me) and window opened nice and wide unlike some of the newer places where you can't even open it due to awful air con! Great city centre location, would be more than happy to stay again at that price!

The hotel had a very warming and friendly atmosphere. All the staff were very welcoming and accommodating, even the breakfast staff, who were very happy and alive even on a Sunday morning!
The building has some amazing quirks, with decor even on the ceiling? (I'm assuming if you drink too much and fall backwards you have something to look at?!)
The room, even though the building was old, had a clean and uplifting feel to it. Being a bank holiday weekend we expected some noise later on but the room was well situated. If there was any noise, we certainly didn't hear it.
On a completely personal preference note. The bed was very firm. I feel a mattress topper would be a fantastic purchase.

This was a lovely 1 night stay, very beautiful old building with nice courtyard. Very welcoming on arrival and helpful staff. Nice room, a little dated, but this didn't impact on our stay. Tea/coffee in room was provided. Great location to walk to the Quay & town centre. Parking available on site, for small fee. Great price for 1 night. Would visit again and recommend.

Staff were really friendly, helpful and welcoming. Room was plenty big enough with comfy bed and all clean. Great location for city centre, Quay and to son’s home.
Only thing I would have add is coasters for tea/coffee as I worried about putting hot drink on surfaces
