We used it as a close to airport stay and it was fantastic for that, immediately immersed in holiday

Really friendly team, beautiful location for a 'close to airport' stay. Fantastic spa treatment too.

Stay at least 2 days in this amazing Villa

- staff: everybody was super friendly & welcoming. As we were there during low season, the hotel manager Jay had the time to show us the entire Villa and we even got the chance to meet the owner and chat a bit with him which was really nice :) - location: perfect if you want to be close to the airport, either on your way back home or to acclimatise before heading to your amazing trip through Sri Lanka - foot massage: really needed after the many hikes we did over the 3 weeks and it was AMAZING, you should get one! - cats: we aleays love having pets around us :D Everything else! *.* I can't list everything as it was just the perfect way for us to end our trip. I want to mention their workshop though, we visited the girls who created all the beautiful items in the store and bought some of them for family members and friends back home. We also bought a mini tuk tuk version as a memory of our time in Sri Lanka. It was easy to get there with the tuk tuk and you can park it safely! Thank you so much to Jay & everybody for this wonderful experience, it was exactly what we needed and made our amazing trip even more special, we appreciate your work a lot! We will come back for sure when visiting Sri Lanka a second time! :)

two lovely pools, views out to sea. nicely decorated and very comfortable room. the Sri Lankan food on the menu was very tasty. the staff couldn’t do enough.

A great hotel to start your Sri Lanka holiday.

Great property with a very welcoming feeling. The site is well looked after and is great to wander around. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We wanted a hotel where we could recover and relax after our flight from the UK, this exceeded our expectations.

Perfect place to stay, close to Colombo Airport.

Villa Hundira is a unique little gem, close to the airport. J is an amazing host and was helpful and welcoming. The villa is absolutely beautiful. So many little hideaways to sit and read or just look at the view across the Negumbo Lagoon. The swimming pools are fabulous and there are many places to sunbathe. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner and it was all really nice.

Excellent hotel & workshop

All about this hotel is great; the location next to the lagoon is great, the hotel itself is beautiful and very stylish decorated (by the own workshop!) and the staff is also great. Everything we needed or asked was possible. We specially liked the open seating on the first floor where there was a cool breeze from the lagoon. Finally warm thanks to the Thimble workshop which made our holiday complete by creating to nice cushion covers and a custom painted wooden tuktuk!

Such a beautiful hotel

Our room was amazing and the whole place had a wonderful ambience. We loved the crafting workshop where you could see women hand-making art that is on display throughout the hotel and all the staff made us feel very welcome. Perfectly located for the airport.

The only things that could be improved (for us) were the range of drinks available (I am quite partial to a glass of good wine with an evening meal!) and the food overall. Breakfast was great and so was the rice and curry, but other dinner options were disappointing

Great stay in an easily accessible, but largely overlooked part of the S.W. coast.

Everything was looked after without fussing or over-attentiveness. Relaxed, calm, and very friendly.

Lighting for dining during the power cuts, It was hard to contemplate eating a large grilled fish in the dark!

Ideal for young families & older couples

This place is beautiful with lots of nooks and crannies so you can have lots of privacy and space. The room was large and spacious and very quiet.

It was a little too quiet for us as the whole place was asleep by 10pm and felt like you were creeping into your parents house after a night out. It is quite far from the centre in a taxi and the staff are not used to people drinking at the pool so the service was quite slow.

Beautiful and unique stay with great service

Unfortunately I arrived quite late so couldn't use many of the facilities but the villa and its grounds are absolutely stunning. The decoration is beautiful and the pools looked really great with some nice views of the lagoon. The rooms and communal areas were beautifully furnished and maintained. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and were always available for any need whatsoever. The room was massive and very comfortable. It is such a unique place to stay.

It is quite far from central Negombo so the location is quite remote and there were no ubers available which made it a little difficult to get around. The lock on my door was broken.

The villa is beautiful, nicely decorated, and an interesting layout.

The service was ok, but could be improved. Our bathroom was outdoors which meant that you were sweaty again before you got back to your room.

Stay in style surrounded by great trees & plants in a secluded paradise ❤️

The place is 15 minutes away from the airport by car, a must when you arrive in Colombo after a long haul flight to relax in a gorgeous environment! Style, decoration, setting, pools, staff attention and care, make it an incredible moment! The way rooms, public spaces are organised and decorated make you feel on a special holiday already. We loved ❤️ it !

Apart from a few planes ✈️ flying over, the only thing I found was a bit strange is that the upper level public area is not open for cocktails or reading. It is lovely though…

a good place to stay for transit…. either first night arriving or before leaving

a great place to stay for transit. either before you fly home or when you arrive for the night. the staff were really nice and professional, with all meals, drinks and transfers being taken care of without issue. The hotel reminded me of a Spanish large home and had more than one pool which was great. 25 minutes from the airport, so a lot better than staying in Colombo, arranged our PCR test and oriole Ted off results without being asked……
