Clean, tidy and definitely value for money. Sky tv was a bonus. Was clean and tidy. A little loud on the main road but was all good would stay again.
A little noisy but not to bad

The location suited our own personal needs for travelling by car in Whanganui, but generally too far to walk to facilities like cafes, restaurants, etc. Parking good. An older style of timber construction, but room very comfortable. Had spare bedroom we didn't use. Small practical kitchenette.
Ensuite bathroom area was rather small, and a tight squeeze. But worked OK. I always struggle with the TV remotes (2), and figuring out how to get from SKY back to Ch 1,2,3. No instructions for this. Outdoor timber steps could be slippery in wet weather. Not sure if has wheelchair access, (though not required by us).

I was self sufficient for breakfast provisions and preparation in ‘the log cabin’ (unit 7 which can sleep 5) having bought my own porridge mix from Australia. The kettle, toaster and microwave were ‘as new’. There was also a portable, electric hob with two hot plates. A COUNTDOWN store is 15 minutes walk away along Putiki Drive and the Whanganui River, and then a hop, step and a jump once across the City Bridge at the end of Victoria Avenue.
A small amount of milk ‘on arrival’ would have been good, as well as a supply of dishwashing liquid in the cupboard under the kitchen sink.

We liked its close proximity to town.
Also the motel was all that we needed and the staff were very efficient.
We enjoyed our stay there and will certainly stay there again.
There was nothing we didn't like. The weather could have been better.

The room was very comfortable
Half the reason why we chose the motel was for the spa pool however when we arrived we were told, due to covid it was closed. We may have reconsider our stay if we had known prior to booking.

Comfortable, clean, economical and convenient for our one night stay on a road trip. A longish walk or short drive over the river to town and food outlets. Although there was traffic noise during the day it was quiet at night.
Nothing.
