One night in Whanganui

Room was spacious and quiet. Motel location was great with easy walk to town centre.

No Sky or streaming services. Alarm clock had been set to go off at midnight so we call got a huge fright!

Excellent room overall & value. I will definitely be back for the Exec room.

Excellent room, very large. Good bath & shower. Quiet. Comfy bed & pillows.

No lift. Hard lugging all my stuff up stairs but worth it once I got to the room. Also no breakfast. Even a tray the night before with a few things would make life easier.

A little disappointed.

Location was great.

It wasn’t the cleanest and it wasn’t a warm room the heaters were not going so there was a small heater that didn’t heat up well.

I booked this accommodation for my elderly parents overnight stay, they loved the venue and were sad they were only there for a night. They loved they did not need to go up stairs or walk a great distance to their room. They loved their stay.

Pleasant stay for a night

Friendly staff and clean rooms. Location was great very central but also quiet.

Quite outdated, the shower leaked and had no pressure. Tv wasn't good.

The Avenues was in a good location with clean but tired rooms.

The location was excellent and check in was easy. The price was also good.

The rooms were tired, paint coming off doors, door handles and bathrooms needed some tidying up. Clean but well used. Photos on booking.com were not true to the rooms we stayed in.

Unfortunate woken by neighbors

The beds were very comfortable. The shower was lovely and hot.

The beds were comfortable the pillows were not. Not enough blankets even using the blankets from the cupboard I was still cold after turning heating off. All the cars coming and then leaving lit up the room and woke us all up. Only three towels placed in the room. When I asked for one from reception they said there was no where to put another towel that was confusing.

Was not advised that the restaurant/bar was unavailable. Travelled from Tauranga over the Easter break and specifically booked with the restaurant in mind knowing that not many places would be available to eat over Easter. There were no cooking facilities in room to compensate, not even a micorowave.

Location to all amenities!👌 The unit we stayed in 811, and car parking was.👌 The room was warm each time we came back.👌 Thank you to the housekeepers for cleaning the room. We thought we were tidy. 😂 And fresh towels.👌

I know the dining area was closed, but I would rather pay for breakfast at this facility than go and pay somewhere else. Just my thoughts. Hopefully, it gets up and running again. With/without breakfast included, which would be a bonus. 🙏 The swimming pool closed too early for maintenance. Close it after the school holidays. Stayed 2 nights. April 19-21 2024

The stay was pleasant and the girls at reception were helpful.

The location suited our requirements. There was no breakfast available but they suggested where it could be obtained. There was only tea making facilities in our room. There was not toaster but they provide crockery and cutlery on request. The shower was over the bath which is not satisfactory for some people.

A box of tissues would have been good and a toaster.

Pretty good value for money spent

The location was good, the staff was good everyone was nice and easy to approach. The room was quiet and was right next to an exit so it made parking easy and moving our stuff out easier.

The wifi connection wasn’t great because we were on the furthest room away so the wifi kept dropping in and out. The TV was old and small with limited channels but it wasn’t a big deal as we weren’t really watching TV.

The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The bed was extremely comfortable and clean. The hotel was easy to find and had plenty of on-site parking. Close to town cbd and other amenities. The room was nice and warm and was surprisingly quite large.

The room I got was definitely a lot older and worn than what is projected in the online pictures. The room and hallway had a slight dank smell to it but wasn't overwhelming. The bathroom was clean but is definitely getting to the end of its lifespan, the bath/shower sprays water all over the room when you have a shower.
