Lovely hotel, great location, terrible customer service and left the hotel feeling disappointed and disrespected

Great location and very spacious. Room was very clean and looked great.

Terrible communication from staff as the power went out at some stage during the night and wasn’t rectified until just before check out. Left in the dark (literally). Unable to have a warm shower and items in the fridge were compromised. Understand these things can happen but was more so laughed off from the woman on the desk instead of offering an apology, explanation and time frame as to how long the power was out for.

No No No, No way the rooms are 4 star….

Location near the lake and easy walk to CBD

The rooms in the old part are just 2 star rooms at best. Ours had a fridge that was rusting out, cupboards that were well past their use by date with a base that was tiled. The bathroom fan did not work. The room backed onto a train line so sleeping was almost impossible. Not worth $200 a night.

Disappointing

The bed was very comfortable.

The room was old and tired. Mould around the shower + grime. Cup and saucer were sticky and disgusting - lucky there was dishwashing liquid and a tea towel in the room so I could wash them. Also, 2 power outlets didn't work. Pretty disappointing stay given the $ it cost for the night.

Great Stay in Lovely Room near Bendigo CBD

Property was excellent, room was nice and very comfortable!

Room we booked was a little less “exclusive” … and cheaper. My fault … executive rooms are nicer, but advertising suggested that. Nonetheless, our room was clean, very comfortable and spacious …direct access to pool and lovely courtyard. Absolutely no regret and I’d definitely stay here, in same room, again!

Nice hotel great sized room,

Location across from the lake.

Room didn’t get cleaned on Friday - but lucky the towels were ok to use after hanging them back up? Question if they struggled to get staff for the long weekend given school holidays! Also pity that the restaurant wasn’t open too!

Amazing hotel, amazing location

The location is perfect with parking at the back door. Nice restaurant and the reception staff were amazing.

We were there over Easter for 4 days and there was no house keeping the entire time, that was a bit disappointing

A great stay in Bendigo and a wonderful Easter Festival highly recommend seeing the Dragon on parade

The staff were exceptional, and the accommodation was great , all our needs were catered for, we enjoyed happy hour and our dinner was lovely. Our room was excellent with a great view and lovely and spacious

Lovely hotel…philosophy around meals archaic.

Location, facilities

No breakfast on Monday morning…as an international business traveller this was ridiculous. A mini issue was TV didn’t work in room.

Very pleasant stay

The check-in process was simple, and the staff were friendly and informative. We stayed in the older rooms, which were clean and perfect for what we needed. We had the breakfast buffet, which had plenty of options, and the kids absolutely loved the pool (even though it was a little cold)

We travelled by train, which meant we didn't have a car. Not knowing the area I felt it was a little out of the way.

Great stay

Great place to stay. This was just a stop over for us, room clean and very large, friendly staff, comfortable bed. Would recommend staying here. The only negative is at all the hotels we have atayed on this trip. This is the only one that didn't offer free bottled water.

Loved my time in Bendigo and Lakeside was very good indeed. The staff very helpful and gracious.

Close to the lake.

Would have liked to prepare toast first thing. Also pod coffee would have been terrific.

Lovely motel but a little more care needed in terms of bedding & bathroom comfort.

The room was lovely in itself. Bed comfortable etc. Restaurant food was very nice and the waitress second to none & very friendly.

The bed was very comfortable but both my mum and I found the doona much too hot. We tried the blanket instead-not warm enough. ( Suggest two blankets be available in future). The wheelchair accessible bathroom was nice & big and the requested shower mat was provided. However, there was nowhere to put your clothes so you could dress after the shower & nothing to sit on except the toilet-whch had no lid so you couldn't put clothes on that either(!) Whilst there were plebty of rails near the shower & toilet the floor was very slippery when wet so we had to drape towels on the floor to walk/move around whilst getting dressed. A plastic/waterproof chair should be provided in future so you have somewhere to drape your clothes to dress after the shower & somewhere to sit whilst doing so ( especially if elderly & still capable of dressing yourself.

I’ve stayed there twice now and would recommend it to others

The breakfast was good. The room was nice & the bed very comfortable. The best thing was it was nice and quiet & across the road from the lake

It would have been good if breakfast could start at 7am instead of 8am
