It was a great size for us and our dog. The back yard was well enclosed and there was a fence at the front too, so it felt very secure. It was comfortable and reasonably well equipped. Will definitely return!
No air conditioning in the bedrooms may be a drama on hot days, but it didn't affect us. The 2 hour parking out the front similarly just took a bit of management.

Fantastic location and very clean and cosy cottage.

Beautiful grand old home with lots of character, and a wonderful garden. The home home was spacious and very welcoming upon arrival, lamps on, a box of chocolates, a supply refill cupboard, pegs and washing powder, it was perfect really. Best property I have stayed at over the last 10 years, the hosts were excellent.
Nothing I didn't like, just would have loved an oven tray, unless I wasn't looking properly.

Nice house, great location, good value.
Surprised to find milk in the fridge but all the coffee tea and sugar containers empty.

Great location, great home, clean and tidy
No tray for the ovan, no sanitary bin in toilet or bathroom.

Location
The property smelled stale. Bedroom carpets need to be replaced. House would benefit from a lick of paint. Recycling and general waste bins were full so not able to empty kitchen bin for 5 days.

Centrally located
Nicely appointed

Good location to access the main area of Bendigo; we were lucky with parking on such a busy street, as we managed to park outside when returning each day - it is 2P parking during the day, so cars need to be moved. The central heating worked well and was welcome at that time of year. Access to a washing machine was a positive also. There was ample storage room for toiletries bags in the bathroom, plus a good size fridge and pantry in the kitchen.
The ceiling light in the bedroom on the left (when entering) provided little/no light and there was nowhere to place luggage in the bedroom on the right. Overall, the house had the impression of needing a thorough clean, e.g. dust on the skirting boards and in corners of the toilet room floor, cob webs on the ceilings and the stuff that falls between the sofa cushions. There was no catch on the toilet room door for privacy and the door handle need maintenance. For a house that accommodates at least 4 people, the kitchen could have been better equipped - more than 3 each of wine and champagne glasses would have been welcome, as would some oven trays and more / larger stove top pots and pans.

It was a great little place to stay.
A Rookie mistake on my part re the heating and Anthony corrected me.
The bath. Be careful, the tap doesn't reach the bat,but the lip of the bath.

This was a beautiful period property, well equipped with everything you could need as a home from home. It was cold when we stayed and the heating warmed up quickly and kept us cosy. Comfortable beds.
Walking distance to CBD, eateries and supermarkets.
Good communication from Anthony the host.
On a main road hence a fair bit of traffic noise, take earplugs.
Didn’t affect us, but 2 hour parking restrictions during the week. No restrictions on the weekends.
The wardrobe in the second bedroom needs a handle.

Great location, easy parking out front and a short walk to central Bendigo

Cute period house.
Situated on main road. Very noisy making it very difficult to sleep even with ear plugs!!!
Pillows and covers needed to be replaced. Stained and smelly. Surprising as the rest of the house was spotless.

Spacious and pretty. Awesome bath. Nice back yard. Very private and cosy. Well equipped kitchen and a whole litre of milk and complimentary chockie bickies 😍
Host was reachable by phone and accommodated me arriving early.
Few dog hairs on the couch, but easily removed. The bedroom, being at the front of the house, didn't really cool down with the air con unit being at the back of the house. That said, I was there on an unusually hot night.

Great location, walking distance to the CBD. Super hot weekend but AC in rear and fans in bedrooms kept us cool.
Only suggestion adding curtains in the bedrooms would have helped with darkness giving a better sleep (Venetian blinds let in light from street lights). Only parking is on street.

may need to look at more cooling in front room

Beautiful historic cottage in fantastic location. Right in the centre of town, with everything in walking distance. So nice to have such an extremely well equipped kitchen, laundry and bathroom. All very clean and cosy. Aircon, heating, comfy beds, wifi, Netflix etc, everything you need for a stay. Lots of nice little touches, milk and water in the fridge, we stayed in the middle of a summer heatwave and arrived to fans and aircon already on. Hassle free key collection and return.
Loved everything

Lovely older house with modern conveniences. Excellent location within the CBD easy excess to shops and cafes.

It had everything you need for a getaway. House was clean (apart from bbq).
No aircon in the bedrooms. Close to busy roundabout so noisy.

Gorgeous property, renovated 1900s town house.
Excellent location, walking distance (even with kids) into town, or a very short walk.
Spacious town house with almost everything you need.
Some surfaces were quite dusty.... slat blinds, book shelf in kitchen, room corners, fabric couch, mirrors (not bathroom mirrors).
A few dangling dusty webs coming down from ceiling.
Bedding/fitted sheets at the head of one bed dusty too.
Very noticable unfortunately with 2 asthmatics in our family.
No face washers or tissues supplied.
Would certainly stay again if it was dusted properly.

We stayed for 3 nights in late Sept. 2022. What a great stay, awesome location. It's the little things that make a big difference. Large selection of quality plates, pots and cutlery. Box of complementary chocolates on kitchen table. A dozen DVD's to view if wanted. A couple Bottles of Red in the rack available for $15 each. An ice tray plus container that actually had ice in it, that's a first! A Coffee Pod machine and to top it off, a litre of fresh milk in the fridge, no sign of that disgusting UHT stuff.
We got caught out with a single roll of toilet paper. Couch needs a vacuum under seat cushions.

Great amenities, comfy bed, spacious rooms and quality furnishings. Excellent yard for our fur baby. Fabulous communication with hosts.
A bit of traffic noise from the road

The owner was very accommodating and very communicative.
Nit picking but the road noise is horrific. Maybe looking at putting double glazing in would help?

Great stay in a great location - convenient to everything we wanted to see. Large bedrooms with medium-firm beds that were very comfortable. House was quiet. Great kitchen and living room. Bathroom had an excellent shower with quality products - nice touch.
Backyard was a good size and safe for my little doggie.
This stay was so good I wouldn't consider looking anywhere else if we returned to Bendigo.
Everything was great.

Everything we needed was there. Lovely house and walking distance to shops, pubs and restaurants. Top Notch 👍

the cottage was very cute, beds a bit low to the ground, making a bit hard for us seniors to get up,
we didn’t have any tea, coffee, ( being seniors we don’t know how to use a pod machine) milk, salt, oil, and for the price would of thought a small breakfast provide. for the same cost we got better amenities/ breakfast at the motel in Castlemaine. very disappointed,

A great location, beautifully set out, bedrooms were large with nice linen and comfortable beds. Great working kitchen with full size fridge/freezer. French doors from Kitchen/Dining room that open up to good size enclosed yard. Very Private. Excellent heating as it was a cold night and morning!
The fact that it didnt have a driveway, however we were fortunate to park directly outside the house so this wasn’t a problem.
