Fantastic

Aloys was very nice, he explained how to get to the house and came to greet us. The house was very cozy, modern and with everything you need. It was located in a quiet and very beautiful place. Well connected to visit Amsterdam or other surrounding towns such as Edam, Volendam, Alkmaar, Zaanse Schans... We recommend it.

Just perfect apartment, best location, safe !!!

Everything was just great !!! Location in the countryside near natural parks, lots of amazing bike routes or hiking, easy to reach Amsterdam by bike (don't know about transport didn't use it), quiet, great canals view, safe, parking available and the apartment just great with everything on it. Great wi-fi, big tv with lots of channels, great outdoor garden, terrace, lots of space for storage indoor or outdoor (ex. bikes...). Shops and restaurants (including delivery) nearby with everything you need (3 min by car 10min by bike). Central heating and AC available. Great host, very friendly welcomed us with a great welcome pack (wine, beer.. :) ). Coffee machine just great with a pack of coffee tablets welcomed. We'll definitely return !!!

Maybe one small thing: not so easy to keep the same temperature of the shower..

Beautiful place

A wonderful place away from the center where you can relax after exploring Amsterdam. An ideal place for cycling trips. Lovely neighborhood.

Clean, cosy and comfortable stay in beautiful semi-rural surroundings close to Amsterdam.

Location was idyllic. View over surrounding countryside was lovely. Lots of wildlife (ornithologists will love it) to see plus donkeys, pigs, chickens and horses. Further from the centre of Amsterdam than we thought (about 12 km) so we found best way to visit was pre book parking in centre of Amsterdam ( oosterpark 10 to 15 euros a day)- easy to get to. Coffee machine broke but Aloys supplied us with replacement immediately. Wine and beer supplied on arrival which was a nice touch. Property was very clean and very comfortable especially the beds (we all slept like logs). TV good in evening with some English channels. Hosts were both very friendly and always willing to help.

Some might find a bit isolated - you really need a car. For us, it was just right. Outside stairs to enter property could be a problem for anyone with mobility issues.

Amazing stay

The accommodation was absolutely luxurious. We will definitely come back here sometime. The owner, Aloys, was very pleasant and caring. Thank you very much for the gift and hospitality. We had everything we needed, there were plenty of towels, kitchen equipment, spices, teas and coffees in the house. There were even bathrobes in the house, which pleasantly surprised us. We also had free bikes at our disposal, which was also a huge plus. They weren't in 100% condition, but after pumping them up, they served their purpose beautifully. The journey to Amsterdam took about 30-40 minutes. Overall, the surroundings of Amsterdam are beautiful and we didn't regret for a second that we didn't stay in the city center.

Peaceful stay in a modern apartment outside of the city

The apartment is nicely furnished and comfortable. The appliances are new and modern. I especially enjoyed the peace and quiet of the countryside and being away from the business of downtown. The landscape is definitely different from what we're used to, which is nice to experience! It's about a 10 minute drive the Noord Park and Ride where you can hop on a 6 minute Metro and be downtown; this was very convenient! Or, it's about a 20 minute drive to downtown, which is close, but finding parking will be challenging.

We showed up when it was already dark and it was difficult to identify the location of the apartment; it's tucked off the main street, behind a house. The address listed on Booking.com, or perhaps the addresses format, didn't work well with Google Maps. It would have been easier to find during daytime. The host can consider providing a screenshot of the property's location to future guests.

Bit frustrating, but still enjoyable.

Clean, lovely canal view from the back. Good shower

No instructions in English, for the appliances. The host was in the adjacent house, but we didn’t realise that. If we had known that, we could have resolved any problems quickly. He was helpful when we finally realised who he was.

Positives: - Central location, close to Amsterdam and Waterland - Easy Communication with host - Functional - Nice & relaxed hosts - Bicycles available - Private Terrace - Dog & Family friendly - Miele coffee machine ready to go - Welcome package: Wine/beer/chocolate

Negatives: - a bit worn out, needs some renovation - Not 100% clean at arrival - Grease/Fryer smell throughout the Apartment, not extinguishable, even with air refreshers from the supermarket - Significant Mosquito problem in summer, despite Mosquito nets - Double Bed too small for 2 adult people and pillows not comfortable - Bed and living room only separated via a curtain, no door

The Apartment is located in a nice village not far from Amsterdam which is surrounded nature and animals. The lovely Appartement itself offers everything you‘ll need and even more. I will definitely come back :)

Apartment suitable for teleworking

The absolute peace, true broadband internet (allowing videoconferencing), all conditions for teleworking were met, free parking, 20 mins drive to downtown Amsterdam (I left daily at 06:45 am), laundry tumble dryer machines. High class coffee machine with free refill supplies. High class smart TV. Efficient Heating/Air-conditioning system. The host reacts fast by WhatsApp.

Overpriced. One night the heating plant went off. No heat, no hot water when woke up. Very uncomfortable. Via WhatsApp, the host said 'the gas is empty' and then 'there is no power'. In my country we add 'I apologize for the inconvenience'. I recommend host to use these words as appropriate. Eventually the problem was fixed.

Very comfortable stay in a modern, nice house in a beautiful landscape

Modern, well equipped flat, clean, nice house in a nice landscape, parking directly next to the house, modern kitchen, a friendly owner.

Only one thing: The garden was a bit cluddered (with objects of constructing). But this was not a big thing.

Fantastic.

Everything about this place is fantastic from the booking process to check out, Aloys went beyond his will to help my father and his friends who I booked the house for, great communication before their arrival and he even helped them after checking out after they had a problem with their car. The place it self was big, clean with every thing you needed, full equipped kitchen, AC, parking and a terras with a breath taking view of the river, great place for a small family or a group of friends, and perfect if you want to discover the countryside of Amsterdam and still be close to the city center, we couldn't ask for a better place. Thank you.

The only down side is that the bus is every 30 minutes to the city center, but you can plan right so you don't miss it.

Most comfortable and relaxing vacation ever.

The house is super clean, the interior is so cozy, you feel right at home. The beds are very comfortable. The kitchen is top equipped and easy to operate. This place rocks. The landlord is very friendly . If you want to visit Amsterdam but want to escape the city turbulence, this is the place to be.

The only thing we didn't like is that we had to leave so soon.
