Shower pressure and letting people know clearly that the annex is another building away from the hotel with no elevators.

Restaurante espectacular!

Hotel muy bonito y ambientado. Muy bien situado. Sin duda, lo mejor el restaurante!!! Desayunos excelentes!!!

Nos pusieron en una habitación que daba a la zona del buffet del desayuno (sin balcón) y era bastante ruidosa.

Perfekt. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.

Liebevoll eingerichtete Zimmer und picobello sauber. Bequeme Betten, im Bad funktioniert die Dusche super. Alles sehr gepflegt und ordentlich. Der Aussenbereich mit Terrasse, Pool und Strandbereich sehr schön. Sicher ist der Strand nicht so wie in Nungwi oder Kendwa ( palmengesäumt und schneeweiß), aber in Stonetown will man ja nicht unbedingt Strandurlaub machen. Es gibt so viel zu sehen Das Personal ist außerordentlich freundlich und hilfsbereit. Von der Rezeptiion bis zum Housekeeping und dem Servicepersonal alles super klasse. Das Essen hervorragend. Alles frisch zubereitet und sehr fein. Besonders betonen möchte ich, dass der General Manager Mr Abdulaziz sich persönlich um die Gäste kümmert und ständig vor Ort ist und nachfragt, ob auch alles in Ordnung ist. Er spricht sehr gut Deutsch und ist besonders hilfsbereit. Ich hatte eine blöde Situation, weil meine Mutter zwischenzeitlich ins Krankenhaus musste. Und er hat sich sehr darum gekümmert, dass ich erstens länger im Hotel bleiben konnte als ursprünglich gebucht und hat sich besonders bemüht, mir in jeglicher Weise zu helfen. Ein herzliches Dankeschön dafür noch mal

Es gab absolut nichts zu beanstanden. Wer hier was zu meckern hat, dem ist nicht zu helfen. Weil es ist wirklich hervorragend.

Amazing stay with great service

Amazing location, very helpful staff, nice and tasty restaurant. Hotel was well decorated. Comfortable and clean room with very good facilities. Pools were small but beautiful and beach 3 steps away.

Our room was in the (new) building across the street, which was not idea (but also definitely not a big problem). Hotel didn't serve alcohol. Amount of beds around the pools were limited, some extra would have been nice.

Tembo House Hotel a place to experience

Just a suggestion. It would be good if they could arrange a person to fetch guests at the ferry and back as it would be a nice service at a small fee to the guest.

Place is great just you cannot totally enjoy the view from your ground floor balcony without been approached by at least 10 hawkers trying to sell items. Had to go into the room after a while and close the doors to get away from them. View is awesome but you really cannot relax and enjoy the view without having to say no thank you many times to people trying to sell items we already have purchased.

Fabulous base for Stone Town exploration

Beautifully maintained with period features. Great location for exploring Stone Town. Big clean rooms with excellent bathroom!

We hadn’t realised it didn’t serve alcohol until arriving - not a big issue but it would have been lovely to have had a beer while sat watching the world go by on the beach.

Affordable, good location.

Location right on the beach and near city center. Most of the staff friendly and high level of service. Spacious family room in annex.

Not the best service in hotel restaurant. Slow and missing part of the order. Street between main hotel and annex, wi-fi pretty poor.

Loved the stay and would recommend to friends and family

Location!! Loved the history behind the hotel too. Felt a bit like stepping back in time. Wonderfully decorated.

Access to water to refill bottles would be the only thing I would recommend … better for the environment too.

Good enough, different from European tourism

- beach front - pools - fish market close to the hotel - local sellers not allowed on the hotel property - self-service breakfast (buffet) - everyday cleaning

- poor window isolation, you can hear everything from outside very very loud, including the morning prayer at 05:30, but this might be everywhere, not only in this hotel - bad smell of the toilet installation and toilet plugging - lots of cats who poop in the sand on the beach - beds are very tall, difficult for kids to climb into bed and dangerous for them to fall on the ground during the night
