Prima Stone Town Hotel

Uitmuntende ligging voor excursies. Geen "transfers" nodig. Mooie grote kamer (zeezicht). Het hotel heeft overigens veel niet-zeezicht kamers. Deze zijn beduidend kleiner! Sommige hebben beperkt daglicht. Prima, Afrikaans, ontbijt. Vriendelijkheid staff voorbeeldig. Schoon.

Onze kamer met zee/haven zicht kreeg alle geluiden mee die horen bij een vracht- passagiers terminal. Ook de boulevard is levendig. Dit woog evenwel niet op tegen de mooie grote kamer en het uitzicht. Heel jammer dat men niet in staat was, na een stevige regenbui, om in ons deel van het hotel, de wi-fi (niet in 4 dagen i.i.g.) te herstellen.

Schönes historisches Hotel in zentraler Lage. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und extrem hilfsbereit. Trotz leichter Unstimmigkeiten , die jedoch gelöst wurden, vom stets freundlichen Personal, würde ich das Hotel nochmals buchen. Das Hotel ist sehr zentral gelegen, direkt im Geschehen. Vor dem Hotel ist eine stark befahrene Straße und in direkter Nähe der Hafen. Zimmer mit Meerblick lohnen sich meiner Meinung nach nicht. Den Balkon nutzt man nicht wegen der Hitze. Nachts ist es laut wegen der stark frequentierten Straße. Zimmer zum Innenhof oder nach hinten machen mehr Sinn! Das Frühstück war sehr gut und reichhaltig. Das Essen im Restaurant war super und günstig.

a slice of ancient heaven

The location was central and we had the sea facing room so those views were absolutely exceptional. The architectural style is absolutely great and it should be kept as is, felt like we were staying in a castle. The room was spacious and all the things were working - the AC and the fan. They also come to spray a mosquito repellant which really gets the job done. The pool is amazing, the area around the pool is even better. You can wake up for a morning dip and hear the birds chirping We also caught the sunset from our room and I don’t regret. Wish I stayed longer and would recommend anyone

Um hotel muito agradável mas infelizmente onde não há ética de trabalho

Atendimento no dia em que chegamos Localização Instalações

Não gostamos da forma como lidaram com o facto de terem comido os turkish delights que tínhamos comprado na Turquia. No check out pedimos para nos guardarem as malas porque íamos dar um passeio. Quando voltamos os doces tinham desaparecido. Na receção disseram nos que tinham sido colocados no lixo. Depois de muita insistência já nos trouxeram a caixa dos doces praticamente vazia. Não houve sequer a sugestão de nos compensarem já que tínhamos gasto 48€ e era uma surpresa para levar para o nosso filho. Ficamos tristes e com uma imagem muito negativa do pessoal do hotel. Lamentável.

immer wieder gerne im Mizingani Seafront Hotel!

Das war mein zweiter Aufenthalt im Mizingani Seafront Hotel und ich war weiterhin sehr begeistert. Die Lage ist unschlagbar, die Nähe zum Hafen, zu Forodhani Gardens, zur alten Festung, einfach überall hin. Das Frühstück ist auch fantastisch mit einem schönen Blick auf das Meer. Ein besonders Augenmerk liegt auf auf den wirklich schönen Badezimmern! Die Stufen sind ziemlich steil und es ist ein steiler Weg auf die Terrasse bzw. in die Zimmer im 2. Stock, aber alles in allem ein sehr schöner Aufnthalt und ich würde ein weiteres Mal dort unterkommen!

Amazing in every way.

The architecture is gorgeous! The rooms are huge, lovely and the bed was so comfortable. The breakfast offerings were enormous and so varied. The staff were beautiful. The location is great - right across the street from the seafront, one block from the gathering place where there is street food and festivities each night, and walking around the old town is super easy.

Sporcizia. Ho trovato all’ ‘arrivo in camera peli pubici tra le lenzuola. I cuscini erano talmente sporchi che puzzavano e, tolta la federa, risultavano gialli e arancioni, di sudore vecchio. Il personale scortese davvero. Non hanno proprio idea di come ricevere gli ospiti. Pessima accoglienza. Ci hanno disdetto la camera a mezz’ora dal check in, poi ci hanno detto che forse si poteva rimediare. Abbiamo aspettato un’ora per il check in. La struttura è decadente. Nessuna manutenzione.

Très bon week-end pour découvrir la ville de Stone town

L’établissement était très jolie, les chambres grandes. Très bien placé à côté du port et du marché de nuit ainsi que du souk en journée. Nous vous conseillons de ne pas rester plus d’un week-end dans la ville car il y a tellement de beau paysage à découvrir dans le sud et le nord de l’île.

Lors de notre départ nous sortions nos valises dehors pour aller chercher un taxi dans la rue direction l’aéroport. Un monsieur travaillant à l’hôtel, nous a dit d’attendre, pour aller demander à notre place (il y a énormément de taxi dans la rue). Arrive à l’aéroport on nous demande de payer le tarif de l’hôtel alors que l’aéroport est à 10 min en voiture et que nous avons à aucun moment demandé à l’hôtel de nous appeler un taxi. Les tarifs pour le taxi sont négociables, alors que si vous passez par l’hôtel les prix sont extrêmement chère. Ne vous faites pas avoir !!

Would definitely recommend staying here: gorgeous courtyard pool area and overall interior/style.

Our room was super spacious with a lovely sea view. Breakfast was excellent, lots of variation and options, and great service from the staff.

It was a little loud at times, noise from the street and the music academy next door practicing, but such is life! Deep cleaning our room every day at 10am when we would want to get ready for the day was a little odd, but who complains about good cleaning?

Good stay! Great for visiting sStone Town.

The location is excelent, in front of the see and close to historical area and markets/shops. The staff is very friendly. There is a nice roof top to see the sunset. Although the beach in front of the hotel is not very good to swim the hotel has a nice pool. The tour in Stone Town and Prison Island/Nakupenda that the hotel organized were very good.

The food in the restaurant could be better.

Pleasant

We liked the location, the overall beautiful lobby, pool area, and historic architecture of the hotel. The front desk was always available and friendly. The breakfast was good, the mangoes are some of the best I've tried ever!

The room itself felt a bit outdated and needs a bit of an upgrade. Our towels and sheets seemed cleaned but had permanent stains. The shower head was quite calcified so we had to fiddle with it so it runs properly. We saw cobwebs in some places and some of the lightbulbs in the vanity weren't working. Overall we didn't see the value for the price we paid per night compared to other parts we stayed in Tanzania/Zanzibar, or even any other parts of the world actually.
