Our 350-acre working farm sits on the Chester River and features a private forty-foot pool, a sport court (equipped for tennis, basketball, and pickleball), waterfront access and high-speed internet. There is easy access to fishing in the pond or on the river and kayaking, canoeing or paddle boarding from the private dock.
Resident wildlife includes Bald Eagles, Osprey, Deer, Fox, Migrating Water Fowl of all types and Wild Turkeys. Bring your bike and enjoy Kent County's beautiful, flat country roads. Watch the sunset from the deck or screen porch overlooking the pool, pond, river and corn fields. On cooler days, there are two wood burning fireplaces and a fire pit to gather around.
Historic Chestertown offers restaurants, shops, and a wonderful farmer's market on Saturday mornings. Groceries can be delivered from the local Acme grocery store via Instacart. Local restaurants offer both outdoor dining and takeout options.
Our tastefully decorated home offers four bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms. Three bedrooms have queen beds and one bedroom has two twin beds. We provide linens and towels. The upstairs great room, leading to a deck and screened porch, offers spectacular river and farm views and a cozy first floor den provides a second gathering space. The dining room seats eight comfortably and the spacious well outfitted kitchen makes it easy to cook for a crowd. Good location. House well stocked. Great pool. Short hike to river. Lots of kayaks ,a canoe and paddle boards

My family of 4 stayed here. So many things to do outside-truly a good time. So many games and accessories to have an easy good time. Would definitely stay at this place again.

Beautiful and huge property. Paddling in the river was great!

Had an excellent time at this beautiful and secluded property on the Chester River. Although very private and a lot of outside space to roam, we were still very close to all that Chestertown has to offer. So, it was the best of both worlds. Plenty of amazing scenery and wildlife to enjoy around the property, and Beth is an excellent communicator. If you're a wine drinker, check out a number of close-by wineries like: Casa Carmen, Bu-De, Broken Spoke and Crow Vineyards. Would highly recommend this property!

It's an age-old question, do you let people know about a hidden gem or not? My wife and dog have stayed at this house for 5 to 6 weeks over the last two years during September and October. It has been a fantastic experience. The property is close to town but still offers a quiet, rural setting. Zoey, our dog, loves it—it might be her favorite place on earth, with plenty of space to play, chase tennis balls and when she gets too hot, she has easy access to a river to cool off. The property has a great pool, long enough for casual lap swimming and a well-kept tennis/basketball court. The house has relaxed, comfortable, high-quality furniture that makes it feel like a home away from home with a broad selection of reading materials from histories to thrillers to Shakespeare. It's an ideal spot for a relaxing getaway with enough internet bandwidth to get some work done if you need to or watch some TV if you don't. You should be aware the house is on a farm so there will be nature: some harmless snakes, lots of bird noise, curious deer, the occasional raven, and insects.

My husband and I stayed here for a week with our three children (ages 7, 5, & 5). There was plenty to do between the pool, canoeing on the river, and the tennis/pickleball court! And when the kids got antsy, town was only 15 minutes away, with ice cream, restaurants, and cute shops. The house was BEAUTIFUL! Everything was clean and well maintained, and the a/c was in perfect working order. Definitely be prepared for wild life, we found several frogs, birds, salamanders, and a giant snake skin. This home is ideally situated between NYC/Philadelphia and DC, which made it great for bringing two different groups together. I only wish one of the bedrooms had bunk beds so we could come back with a larger group! :) We had a wonderful stay, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet retreat.

We truly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property. Everything you need is here and you can’t beat the seclusion. There’s something for everyone to do. The pool and sport court were by far our favorite parts. They’re in great condition and we got a ton of use out of them. The house was perfect for our group of 7 and Beth was very responsive and helpful.

Our family of 5 had a wonderful stay. The property and location was just what we needed to “get away from it all” for a week. We enjoyed boating on the river and visiting the town for dinners, but the best part was just spending quality time together on the property (and of course the convenience of being able to play tennis and basketball and then just walk over to the pool and relax). Beth was a wonderful host and her communication leading up to our trip was excellent. We would definitely recommend!

Stayed here over Mem Day weekend with my family of four and two other couples. The house layout was perfect as the top floor has two bedrooms with bathrooms and so does the bottom floor. We spent all weekend enjoying the property which is just massive. Between the pool, boat house with kayaks and canoe, expansive lawn and sportcourt we were entertained throughout. The kitchen is fully stocked and the views from the living room/kitchen were just divine. Beth the property owner was super responsive and helpful and the town of Chestertown is an absolute delight.

Thank you so much for a great stay. We enjoyed the paddle boards, the fire pit, the grill, and the pool. What a lovely place-- wish we could have stayed longer.

Beth's property is a beautiful spot - even in not the best of weather! Our family group of 8 adults was very comfortable there. The layout of the house gives privacy for all with spacious gathering areas as well, all with lovely pastoral views and glimpses of the river. We lacked nothing and Beth was very accommodating! It is very serene, peaceful, and private. Lots of activities available on the property also but we unfortunately did not have much time or nice weather for outside. We did enjoy a quiet, well thought out and relaxing space to reunite with family.

Overall the house was great. Everyone that stayed said the same thing upon checking in and that was the pictures do not do the house justice! We had 3 couples and 2 other people staying and we all fit perfectly. Each bedroom has its own bathroom connected to it which was great for everyone. Common area was large and the pool is huge and well maintained. Short walk on the property takes you to the dock which they have stocked with kayaks and a canoe which we used and all equipment was in great shape. Tennis court/basketball court were also nice additions to have. Property is located way off the road and you are fairly secluded which leads to great privacy. Would highly recommend this place for anyone looking to stay with a family, or group of friends. Host was also super helpful along the way!

I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to experience this place! Beth couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating! The property is a gem…wide open with a perfect view of the river, yet private! It’s a nature lovers dream. I was impressed by the native landscape and conservation efforts. I think there is a lot of history here and I feel so fortunate we were able to experience this special place! And the beds were SO comfortable!!!!

Our family of 10 had a wonderful time! We celebrated a milestone birthday - the house, the surroundings, and all the amenities of the property made our stay incredibly memorable. We had a great time playing tennis on our private court, swimming in the spacious pool, and kayaking on the river. We would happily stay at the Farm again. Beth was incredibly responsive and an excellent hostess. Thank you for sharing your home!

Beth's property is truly beautiful and unique. The warm and welcoming home was stocked with items to make your stay and your family meal time easy and fun. Beth was incredibly responsive and gave us so much great information about the area.
The property really has everything you could want in a family vacation. You never have to leave the paradise of Eagle Point Farm. The pool is roomy, warm and soft; the tennis/basketball court is inviting, clean and easy on the knees; the pond has so many fish that you can barely get your line in before you have to reel it back (catch and release). The dock was my favorite. We alternated between quiet family time just watching the sky turn pink and orange, and super fun and active boating, fishing and crabbing.
We cannot wait to visit again. Thank you Beth!

Wonderful, super-relaxing vacation
We are a family of 5 + 1 dog and all had a great time relaxing in the wonderful house and surrounding environment. House has everything we needed for a wonderful vacation. Great books as well as a bonus.

A perfect week for our family and dog! The property is wonderfully located within a quick drive to the local town but remote enough to fully unplug. Enjoyed serene walks every morning and lazy afternoons in the pool. The evenings were a delight with fireflies and the sounds of nature enveloping this special abode.

This is really the perfect spot to be away from everything but not far from things you might need. The home was exactly what we wanted for 4 kids (ages 12-21), 2 dogs, and us. Enough space for everyone inside with seating inside and outside on two levels. No neighbors nearby so we were able to take the dogs on early morning walks to the dock in pj’s. Beautiful! Sport court and pool were used every day as well as the kayaks from the dock. So secluded but grocery stores a short drive away. Can’t wait to go back.

Idyllic, Private Retreat on the Chester River
Like other reviewers, we found this spot exceeded our expectations in every way. All elements of the property—the seclusion, the views from the deck, the sunny outer lawn, shady inner lawn, pool, pond, tennis courts, the peaceful walk past the pond and field of milkweed to the boathouse and private dock, the shady lane leading to the house, and the amazing, well-stocked house itself—came together to make this a truly exceptional experience. It is hard to say what we enjoyed the most—birdwatching, kayaking in the morning and evening, and biking to and around Chestertown were all highlights. Beth was very responsive and a pleasure to communicate with. We are so grateful that a place like this is available and hope some day to return.

The perfect house and location for those looking for a peaceful getaway! Isolated and serene, but only minutes to Chestertown. The home was perfect and comfy, with the kitchen being extremely well outfitted and equipped. We enjoyed the deer and multiple eagles, as well as the super impressive masses of fireflies that lit up the fields and trees at night! Plenty of room for everyone to spread out, and great areas for gathering. Looking forward to returning!

We had a great trip which included using the pool, outdoor games, indoor games, deck for morning and evening. The owners give great instructions for everything and everything went very smoothly. Only thing we didn't do was fish but otherwise we did everything we expected. My only regret was not remembering my baby gate to corner off our 2.5 year old a little bit. The house is very spacious!

Had a wonderful time celebrating our daughter's graduation from Washington college. Beth was great to work with and the house is good for multiple families or parents with adult children like ours.

Wonderful house and property
Chestertown is a wonderful historic little town, went there for a friends wedding and rented the house instead of staying in a hotel. We were really grateful that we went that route, the house was amazing. Close enough to town that it wasn't hard to get supplies and was an absolutely gorgeous house and property. While the weather wasn't very nice and we weren't able to utilize the outside or explore much the house was fantastic. We spent the time visiting around the fire in the living room and having such a large well stocked kitchen for cooking a few meals in was much appreciated. All the bedrooms are large and the layout worked well for us a group. My only negative comment is that showing up and only having a 1/2 roll of toilet paper between the four bathrooms was annoying and made for a rushed unplanned trip back into town. All in all, would love to go back again.

Lovely Riverside Retreat
This home was a perfect setting for a weekend with family. The pool is amazing; and the shared spaces and deck are wonderful for relaxing with family and friends. On the late summer weekend of our stay, the flowers ringing the pond attracted thousands of butterflies, a beautiful sight. We enjoyed the Chestertown farmer's market and Evergrain for delicious fruits, vegetables, meat, wine, and baked goods; and the proximity to the ACME allowed for easy access to basic food needs. The owners were responsive and helpful.

Great home on the river
Stayed for a week, enjoyed the pool and the river. Kayak's were great. the home was very nice, and handled our family of 7. I would definitely recommend this property to others for a nice stay in Chestertown.
The only issue we had was that the dock was not sufficient to dock a boat overnight. It was fine for drop off and pick up, but the water is shallow, and the boat rental company would not leave the boat there.

Great Getaway along the Eastern Shores
Thorougly enjoyed my week at Eagle Point. I love how the house is situated on a farm far off from the main throughway and accessed by a dirt and gravel road nestled in the woods. We saw Eagles and all sorts of large birds including deer on the property. Enjoyed the morning and evening walks to the dock and along the pond back to the house. The pool was great for the early summer days, and the nights are fantastic. My brother enjoys astronomy and he had blast during the nights with his telescope viewing the universe on a moonless night. The house itself is very practical and comfortable for a family vacation. The air conditioning and heating system were easy to operate and excellent. The kitchen is fully equipped and the upper exterior deck was fantastic for dining out. The town of Chestertown was less than fifteen minutes away for groceries, restaurants, shopping, and the cinema. My family had a wonderful time! Definitely a memorable experience.

Perfect relaxing vacation
I have stayed at several VRBO/Homeaway rentals and this was the easiest for me. The house is in beautiful condition, great layout for a relaxing vacation. I loved the pool - big enough to swim laps. Kitchen was well stocked with everything you need. We had loads of fun trying to catch bass in the pond on the property (catch and release). What set the house apart was the book that explains how everything works, and having a few supplies ready - trash bags, paper towels, toilet paper, dish soap, washer soap, salt and pepper, sugar, beach towels... Best I have rented.

Fabulous!!!!!
This is the best VRBO I have ever rented. It is exactly as stated. We were not able to adjust to the drinking water but bottled water saved the day. I would love to return.

Awesome Sauceum
If you need to get away and relax for a week or weekend this is the place to go. The house was very nice, clean and stocked with everything we needed. The views are many. It may be the river, farm, moonlit sky or all of natures finest. We saw deer, eagles, osprey, herrons, etc. The walk to and from the river is also a nice stroll and very peaceful. The swimming pool is awesome, big and clean. Sit and chill downstairs on the patio or upstaires on the deck which is loaded with tables and chairs. Inside the home has a big great- room, kitchen, dining combo. Pretty hardwood floors in most of the home and comfy bedrooms with private baths and a down stairs living room makes for a very comfortable stay. Did not get a chance to use the boat dock or kayaks.
Will return for a longer stay. Thank you Beth for sharing your home with my family
